This is a great exercise for home trainers without a rack or spotter. the video shows some good variations in foot positions.

The Jefferson DL is a great exercise. Used by old time strongmen, probably more so than the regular DL, back in the day. And the center of weight/balance is better suited for most guy's..as the video shows. Some even stood on short boxes/blocks to go even lower in the lift.

Just a suggest that the arms/grip to changed for each set. Like first set the left arm is gripping in front, the right arm gripping to the rear of  the body.. The next set, change so the the right arm is gripping in front, the left arm gripping to the rear of the body.  Reason being, that using the same grip, every set, the torque on the back/spine will always favor one side of the body. You want a equal strength and development of the spine/back. If not, than an potential injury to the lower back, as well as the hip structure, could be possible. Good Luck.
