What is your opinion of the European Union (I presume you were referring to the Eurozone currency block in your post) in general?
I think it would be a good idea ;)

everybody wanted it back then, ppl took the cheap credits from the new currency blabla.
and now everyone claims they seen it coming how its gonna fail ::)
and they now name the reasons as following:
-cant put different cultures under one umbrella, need political unity(same tax schemes,same everything)
very dumb, these people, the reason for the failure is none of those, its plain and simple all the involved governments have overspent and disregarded the budgets.and so did the majority of private persons.
when ones only things in life are money and materialistic things, this is a recipe for eventual failure.
ppl will never learn.ok, dream on,chase the monetary dream and allow governments to break all promises and overspend,as they did for the last couple decades.
all of them spend more than they earn in tax returns, even germany.
that is all. ::)
galeniko you don't have a lot of money, do you?

The EU imposes a centralized currency without a centralized economic policy. The (decreasingly) "sovereign" countries each have different economic policies, each with its own (yes) cultural aspects.
Recipe for disaster.

Tower of Babel. The beauty of diversity is that there are many nations with different cultures. The modern notion of diversity in the West is the complete opposite of real diversity. It is actually the enemy of diversity by creating one big global system where everyone is the same and all economic systems are connected. That's when you get the too big to fails that will bring down the whole world instead of just one small part of it.
