Title: are steroids included in drug tests for employment?

do employers test for steroids regarding employment like construction or driving jobs? I was told they only test for narcotics such as heroin, cocaine, and marijuana (probably other things as well that I forgot to mention). I figured they would want someone strong when doing construction work so I'm sure employers wouldn't mind anyone being on steroids, right? LOL. Not sure what else they test people for. Usually this is a urine test and not blood test since blood analysis cost companies more, right?

They do not test for AAS, they do a standard 5 panel drug screen.

Even upper level government jobs do not test for AAS.

If they wanted to test you for AAS, they would have to order a specific test and that is almost unheard of.

so basically AAS is only tested if you're a competing athlete, right? With the exception of competitive bodybuilding of course. LOL.

i think the military might test for em too but the vast majority of places do not

To my knowledge that is correct.  I know a lot of guys in the military who juice when they are on base, but i'm not sure how the test protocol goes for military.

Your normal drug screen for a job is never used to test for AAS that i know of.

as has been said, no employer tests for gear, ephidrene and clenbuterol may show up tho.. so be carefull

just curious if prescription painkillers (opioids) such as percocets or oxycodone are tested?

yes opiods are def tested, it's one of the big ones they test for. but if you can prove you have a script i think you will be fine.

for pre-employment no body tests.  There is a cheaper test that's test for any metabolite that they can order but its still like $300, to get an exact compound they have to do spectrum analysis to isolate it and then if your on gear legit from your doctor still hard to prove your on gear unless your taking like 8 things more products will make it harder for liver kidneys to process and expel....

It helps that I'm a hobbyist chemist...lol
