It was nice to see...

Yeah, I'm just watching now, and they've got a JBL chant going for no reason whatsoever?!

Good to see the reaction Ziggler got when he won the belt, I hope this is the start of something huge for him.  They need to dump that Big E guy though, he's not bringing anything to the party at the moment.

This crowd is silly. They've been singing Fandango's song, ever since his appearance and during match with Kingston. He get jumped and beat up by Jericho. The ring announcer says Fandango wins by DQ; yet, half-beaten to death, the flatten dancer pronounces his name (in agonizing pain)...FAAAAAAN-DAAAAAN-GooooOOOOHHH!!

Heck, they're even singing Fandango's theme during the Cena-Henry match, causing the new champ to do the cha-cha-cha. He gets flattened by Henry, who yells "DANCE NOW!!!".

PRICELESS STUFF.

BTW, if this Raw is an extension of WrestleMania, then I got all my picks right after all, except one. Tons-of-Funk & Funkdactyls beat Rhodes Scholars & Bella Twins. And Ziggler cashed MITB on Del Rio.

But, for Ryback's silly behind, I would have been PERFECT, Curt-Henning style!

Edit - NOW Ryback saves Cena from a beatdown by Henry (after Cena wins by countout). He helps Cena to his feet and gives him a nod of respect, before going into his "Feed Me MORE!!" shtick. But, when Cena joins the Ryback in the fun, he gets clotheslined and shell-shocked.

Incidentally, Ziggler's 2nd World title reign is about TEN TIMES as long as his first one was.

Was about as fun to listen to the crowd as watch the matches - and the crowd singing and then "dancing" to Fandango's music was downright hilarious!

Best Raw I've seen in a long time. Ziggler reaction was the best.

Dick Bulldog Brower would have took the win had he been in town.

Michael Cole getting a chant was probably the most hilarious thing I've ever seen.

Gotta love the crowds in the North East.

Ziggys Pop was huge.......

Big SHow was on the radio here in Boston. He said that there were ticket packages for WM and Raw and alot of Europeans bought these hence the huge pops. He said at one point the crowd was singing Ole'..Ole...Ole'

I am happy for Ziggy but prob would have been bigger to cash in at WM...speaking of..didnt see it but nobody seems to have good reviews on WM

Would have rather seen him take the belt straight from Cena... I am just not a Cena fan for some reason.

That's because you're not 12.

You apparently missed my thread.

Ziggler got much love. And, they'll pump the fact that he's a 2-time World champion (even though his first reign was all of 10-15 minutes). Plus, the crowd seems to love when guys cash MITB on champions that get beat down.

Del Rio is the THIRD man to cash MITB to win a world title and have MITB cashed on him to lose a world title.

Would have rather seen him take the belt straight from Cena... I am just not a Cena fan for some reason.

He can't. Ziggler had the Smackdown MITB, which only works on the World Champion, not the WWE Champion.

That seems silly though... They had booker T out there making matches on RAW... so this whole "brand belt" shit is stupid as hell.

They should make the World Title the WWE World championship... Drop the US title... Bring back the cruiserweight title from back in WCW and move on.

We don't need "2 world champs" and 2 "US / Intercontinental" (BTW... Intercontinental means between continents, not just one... so it's a lot like a world title as well) champs.

Ironically, I just thought about this exact idea today.

He was basically working in conjuction with Vickie Guererro. But, there's no generic MITB briefcase anymore. Jack Swagger won the last one at WrestleMania 26. Now, there are two: One for Raw (to be cashed on WWE Champion), the other for Smackdown (to be cashed on World Champion). There were actually three in 2010: The one Swagger one at WM26 and the new brand-specific ones for Raw and Smackdown, won by Miz and Kane, respectively.

Cena won the Raw MITB last year and cashed it on CM Punk. Big Show interfered and got Punk DQed, making Cena the only guy to cash in MITB and not win a world title.

They should make the World Title the WWE World championship... Drop the US title... Bring back the cruiserweight title from back in WCW and move on.

They did all that in 2001 at Survivor Series (except for the WWF and WCW world titles). But, supposedly the roster was so big that they made the split, which would be fine IF they'd actually keep the shows separate (excluding certian PPVs).

We don't need "2 world champs" and 2 "US / Intercontinental" (BTW... Intercontinental means between continents, not just one... so it's a lot like a world title as well) champs.

Agreed! If they're not going to have a true boundary between Raw and Smackdown, having two world champs makes no sense.

Or, go back to one generic MITB that can be cashed on either the WWE or World Heavyweight champion.

What a HOF line-up!  And nobody had to jump off the roof to end the match.

Obvious uneducated fans though.  I did not hear one chant of "BORING" during the entire thing.

Now, it appears the NY/NJ crowd has started a new craze.....Fandago-ing, as in singing Fandango's theme during a match.

Finally a show worth discussing, i have been left feeling so disappointed for months regarding storylines i have not had an interest. Brilliant crowd reactions, Zigglers was expected and very much needed and now they need to push him. Agree with the comment about dropping Big E as hes not doing anything productive and now they need to build on the momentum this show has gained. Only bad point for me is i cant understand the whole Miz angle, he gets Barrett with the figure 4 which is broken, and then drops the title within 24 hours to a truly awful finish.

Did you guys get Memphis Championship Wrestling in your viewing area? Of course, I never did, but I've seen footage of Savage from MCW. He had to have been one of the most athletic workers back then.

But, it was when he arrived in the WWF that his character apexed. The heel Macho Man of 85-87 was, IMO, his most brilliant work ever. I also enjoyed when he began the transition to a face. I never felt he captured that level with his character again, although his ring work remained outstanding for most of his career.

I'm still trying to forget the neon fringe and cowboy hat bullshit of the 90's, though.

Agreed, the neon fringe and hat is always the way remember him. I never got memphis wrestling here it was always Georgia or NC.

They'd better be relying on a lot more than that.

They'd better be relying on a lot more than that.

Cena's champion now; so, there'll be lots more heat in certain storylines. There seems to be one building with him and Ryback and/or Mark Henry (though Henry's ambush of Sheamus on Smackdown may change that).

As for the guy to whom this latest craze is credit, he and Jericho are really building some serious beef.

It should result in some wild match at Extreme Rules.

And with Del Rio still gimpy, who's going to be Ziggler's first major challenger, Orton? Perhaps even Swagger?

Plus, you have this internal friction on Smackdown between Teddy Long and Booker T. Methinks Teddy wants his old job back.
