Title: Interval cardio
Post by: Donny on June 23, 2013, 06:19:57 AM
I have to agree with this German Bodybuilder. He runs a natural Bodybuilding federation in Germany and i have spoke to him 2 times on the phone. Was very polite and lives in Hamburg. ok most will not understand this Video but it really is correct. he talks about running at a constant pace.."Dauermethode" say 30 mins at a regular pace and "Intervalltraining"..which i love in the Gym on a bike, Interval mixing it up and really hits your heart over the whole range and really burns fat...the "after burn effect" is not really proved but i believe your Body DOES react diffrent.

yes there are diffrent studies out there. I believe as i wrote in my original post your Body adapts but i am not sure about the "after burn effect". It is intresting though. I still believe you can get great results from say 45 mins Walking. i do however believe 30 mins interval is so much better for Overall health. I feel great after a hard 30 min bike interval in the gym...i like to mix it up with a run in the Woods.

the major problem with it is that it cuts into recovery, whereas the walking doesn't cut into recovery so much

good point..it really does cut into recovery and makes me dread going to the gym...as a consequence, I do less

as cardio is so dull,, you have to play around with these kind of things to keep you sane..

i love lifting weights, but cardio is like pulling teeth for me
