Impressive to say the least. But the main question is why didnt you train your legs and calves.

I mean chest and arms are great for the beach- but they are only part of the  picture.

Like I said-arms and chest are one thing if you hit the beach-what happened to your calves?

Ran away and never came back. Same with thighs......look like two tooth picks Neve.

With all due respect to those board members who fail to appreciate the privilege of having bodybuilding legend Pat Neve contribute to Getbig.com, Mr. Neve is arguably one of the best short class bodybuilders in AAU competition history.  He deservedly received first place votes for the overall AAU Mr. America title at both the 1975 and 1976 contests.  He also came very close to capturing the WBBG Pro Mr. America title in 1976 and the Pro Mr. America and Pro Mr. World in 1978.  Once again, winning several bodypart subdivisions in the process.  The exceptional quality of his physique is reinforced by a second place finish in middleweight class at the 1982 NPC Nationals nearly eight years after winning the overall 1974 AAU Mr. USA championship.

Although some have viewed Mr. Neves' lower body development as a an impediment to his quest for overall national and international competition victories, it was certainly more than adequate to defeat many accomplished competitors.  In fact, as stated above, more than one national judge would have awarded Pat Neve the overall AAU Mr. America title.  I am sure there are many bodybuilders who would aspire to develop their lower bodies to degree of Pat Neve.  He is an exceptional bodybuilder whose accomplishments speak for themselves.  His success  certainly merits consideration amongst the best short class bodybuilders of his era.

I hope Mr. Neve continues to contribute to the Getbig.com forums.  His experience can afford a unique and insightful perspective to the myriad of topics presented.  His contribution and knowledge can serve to benefit current and aspiring competitive bodybuilders.  Mr. Neve,  thank you for investing your time in this board.  I value, appreciate, and look forward to any response you choose to contribute.

If I remember right, I believe that Pat Neve was a pretty heavy bencher and held some records around his area in Arizona and the southwest.  I think he stopped the heavy loads because his elbows were bothering him way too much for the effort put into the BP. Great biceps/triceps muscle balance. Nice to have him post here.

Side bar: At 18 I took a football recuitment trip to Tempe, Az once and there were some old magazine article about him laying around the physical ed office. The most I remembered about the trip was the co-eds that showed us the sites of Tempe..stone cold foxes. Probably hookers, that what they use to do at most of the recuitment college's back in the day.

OH yeah !!! Pat Neve !!! Had an excellent physique and outstanding arms, and I remember reading the most articles about him in the Old Ironman magazine ( It was a smaller size than it is now---a bit bigger than digest size---but it was an excellent read every issue). Lots of thought provoking articles !!!

Keep posting Pat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    :)

I highly doubt it was Pat. If it was him then why did he stop posting/close his account?
