Anyone here ever compete just for fun? Meaning you look good (not talking about those guys who step on stage and look like shit) but know you have little to no chance of winning. Just get get out there and say you did it? Please share your experiences.

Yeah, every single bodybuilder who doesn't place in the top 5 of the Olympia. :P
Anything other than that and you are competing for fun and/or free.
Couldn't resist being a smart ass. I never have competed but I know plenty of "naturals" who do several times a year and they are definitely not profiting one bit from it. From what i have seen and heard from them, you have to be borderline obsessed/masochistic to do it. Staying on a strict diet almost all year and doing hours and hours of cardio for no prize money - you need to be more than a little crazy. I know some guys who get off on the pain and suffering. Sick fucks. :o
