Title: Low test levels, prescribed Axiron
Post by: spidey007 on October 14, 2013, 12:27:19 PM
Guys, i'm 35 and was recently (3 blood tests total) diagnosed hypogonadic.  Test levels were 156, 254, and 303 (total test).  Free test extremely low (out of range).  Had an MRI for suspected pituitary tumor, but it was negative.  LH and FSH levels extremely low.  Looks like secondary hypogonadic for unknown reason.  Never used steroids, but did take the 19-Nor Twinlab crap back in the day.  Prolactin, thyroid, both fine.  Anyway, Dr. prescribed Axiron to try out.

1.  How long until I should feel this stuff kick in?  It's been a bit over a week and haven't really felt much.
2.  Anyone have any experiences with it?

Thanks in advance.

Oh fuck if only this were true!  My wonderful caring compassionate doctor has no problem cutting me off cold turkey from my meds if I dare question anything she orders me to do.  And she has me by the balls because every other doctor who specializes in my particular "need" is totally booked and not taking new patients.  So I am stuck as her fucking twink bitch because I will get very very ill without it.  What a wonderful compassionate medical system socialized medicine is huh?

Dear Twink Ass Bitch:
1-- all you guys sound menopausal... Lol.
2-- just emphasize to your doctor that injections of test are a lot cheaper than other conventional designer preps. That should solve your problem. If not you can put a bag over her head and give her some pipe, that
is if you still can get it up (because she cut you off). Lol

well... when's your follow up bloodtest?

hontestly, I wouldn't even use the gel... it's absolute shit.

see if the doc will prescribe you injectable test. either tell him the gel isn't ... crap.. I'm having a lapse in vocabulary...  tell him it's not easy to use, it's inconvient or something..

or, don't use it at ALL until your follow up bloodwork, then he'll think the gel isn't good enough (tell him you've been using it though), and hopefully he'll put u on injectable.

remember... doctors work for you.. it's YOUR MONEY, they're YOUR EMPLOYEES. if you qualify for androgel, you qualify for testosterone injections. doctors get kickbacks from pharma co's and androgel is expensive as hell... inj test is cheap as a guy.

Say you have kids and/or a wife/gf and you don't want that gel shit to get on them. It's perfectly valid and works. Get the needle.

If any of you have trouble getting a doc to prescribe an injectable, just tell him you have kids and dont want to risk the gel finding its way onto their skin through you. (That and its too expensive)

thats what I did, doc didnt even blink.

I did not use axiron but a custom mixed test compound. I found that applying it twice a day was most effective. After 6 months or so the gel didn`t seem to get the job done so I switched over to the self applied injections twice a week.

Thanks..

I'll try this stuff for a few months.  I have another blood test in late November.  Scary thing was my free test is SO low.  I mean like almost not even there.  The only thing I can see that would cause that is a really high SHBG level (which i'll ask Dr. to test... along with Estrogen)

** Would trt increase my free test levels along with the total test level?
