Lebron james has his own unique and private offseason training each year.  Last year, wade trained with him.

This year, wade is back to his usual training with with team trainer.  I wonder if that'll have nay impact - will his knees be in better shape?  Wade healthy means nobody in the NBA has a CHANCE against the heat.   Wade injured/limping means Heat will probably run outta luck in the playoffs.  They underachieve pretty badly and gotta trip eventually.

Hopefully, Wade will be able to stay healthy through the season and into the playoffs. Also Beasley can score and is another weapon off the bench! Let's see if Oden can give them some good minutes against Indiana and the bigger teams!

Lots of people betting on the Bulls.  I just know if Rose can pull through after such a horrific injury in one of the most physically demanding sports with one of the longest seasons.

Rose looked like Superman in the pre-season.

Bulls tend to flame out in the playoffs, I think Thibodeau pushes them too hard in the regular season.

I bet they let Oden fake inured through most of the year - the haters will be all "I told you so!" but he'll do what Shaq did... take a few months off during season so he can stretch out his playing days.  If shaq played full throttle all of the time, he wouldn't gotten 19 seasons of pounding as a center.

They'll let Oden coast all year - play in stretches, take off road trips against the Timberwolves lol...  and he'll be ready to absorb some fouls on Noah and the pacers too.

I dont think Rose looks as good as he used to be.

He's going all out on those highlight plays.  Full sprint to the basket, getting some travels not called, but playing all out against dudes in the pre-season.  I don't think he's back like he was, I don't think he will be. He still has the moves, but that explosive first step which used to be automatic sure looks labored now.

Pacers will be badass this year.  Nets, eh, all big names fighting age with a small window.  They'll collapse in games 5/6 in playoffs.  if I had to bet on anyone that'll topple Heat in playoffs, it's the pacers.  Whoever won that series last year was going to win the Finals - I think pacers would have beaten Spurs much quicker, as they're disciplined and coached well - Heat have weak coach, but talented high end players.

I like the spurs to face my Heat team again, but I'm not sure they can get to the finals again.....Golden state, Grizzlies, maybe Clipps and don't forget OKC....all these teams will try to kick spurs outta their way

bulls will get steamrolled. As usual. Heat are too stacked. bar non injury its their chip again this year. only serious contenders are spurs, nets, and okc. I can see the nets pulling a "maverick" like win in the very end. Their first and last just like dallas. I d like to see spurs get there but.... i think players get career ending injury this season. That's about it.

it was pre season. I doubt old celtics playing in Brooklyn will have the time to gel with the younger dudes tho; they ll probably get too old and injury prone before it happens.  But it can happen at some point. Garnet and pierce arent clowns. Odds are higher they ll end just like old lakers of malone/payton era; stacked with old farts who cant get you anywhere. It only leaves us with heat, pacers, okc... and thats about it.

Derrick Rose has already been made MVP without playing a real game.
I'm hoping lebron and friends take out the bulls and do it with ease.
I don't trust Greg oden and don't count on him either, his knee is not right yet neither there has been news that it's swelling after practice.
Miami is my fave to win to whole thing, I'm not buying into the Derrick rose hype, the bulls, pacers have nightmares of lebron, i doubt he thinks much of hibbert or Lou deng.

The lakers are completely fucked, Kobe is even more fucked thinking he had a chance this year, Kobe is full of shit, he said he would be ready to play by opening night, that's now not true.
He will return Xmas day and brick every shot, he will have a terrible year, no rebounders to get him second chance shots, and he will be shown up defensively as lakers don't have a shotblocker.

Lakers will be booed many times this year on there home floor.

the bulls biggest problem is consistent scoring. Once you get the ball out of Rose hands who do you count on

Noah is a awesome player but has no offensive game to speak of
Boozer folds in big moments
Deng is the definition of inconsistent and he is awkward dribbling the ball

the wild card will be Jimmy Butler- who wont be all star but he can be a very useful player in the playoff run

good defender and better offense than most thought

No they raped them in the playoffs last year without him. So in my mind an old garnett and pierce for a prime rose? prime rose wins. Jimmy Butler has a chance to be a very good player as well.

I have to see it from the nets, I think deron is a dud.

The closer we have gotten to our first game I have becomes more pessimistic about our team. I believe this is due in large part to the projections and hype we have received for the first time in years. Hopefully Barnes gets healthy and our bench doesn't become an issue.

If we had kept jack we wouldn't have been able to pick up iggy. Landry/Jack were huge for us last year tho.

D-Rose is done.  Last night was his super bowl and miami was up by 20 the entire night.  he's only 95% of what he was.  He was 4-15 last night.  yes, he still has excellent moves, and when he goes ALL OUT, he can get open under the basket, but he's lost a step.  He can still wing up those luck shots that any of us can make on a playground from time to time... but dominating teams for 45 points... those nights will be few and far between and always at the detriment of his team.

He'll do better against other defenses.  But being MVP?  Those days are gone.  He's going to be a good NBA player for 2-3 years then an average player for another few years.  He's Iverson with a bum knee.

in the playoffs, CHI will still play that BS game of beating up the Heat with flagrants the whole time.  I hope the NBA doesn't allow that.  "Getting physical" ain't good basketball.

what game are you seeing? he has the SAME quickness and explosiveness he had before..the difference is he hasnt played real-time basketball in OVER A YEAR
rust is expected and he pressed so he made alot of bad decisions..he got to the hole just as fluidly as he did before

Rose was really good in almost every pre-season game (he sat one out I think), he averaged 20 points in like 27 minutes.

He also wasn't playing against the other team's backups like someone claimed earlier, that's not how pre-season works.  To think he's going to come back after an injury like this and be 100% is foolish but he doesn't look to be much worse to me.

LeBron only had like 16 points yesterday, normally he averages 25-30.  Is he "done" too?

he's still a great player.  But he's not MVP caliber anymore.  He used to make those same moves effortlessly.  Now he's in an all-out sprint to get open.  He used to have this gear that nobody else had.  I don't see that anymore - I see him very fast at times, but it's taking more of him than it used to.  I guess we'll see in the coming months if I'm full of shit, but his body language said a lot to me.  It's not effortless anymore.   That's what I see.

First of all he's playing against the two time champs in his first game back in over a year.  Sitting a big chunk with a bum knee.  As much cardio as he did is nothing compared to full game speed.  It might take him 1/2 the season to get back in a groove.  Remember shooting is 100% muscle memory and he is going to be off for a bit until he gets his shot down again.  Will he be MVP? Very hard with Durant, Lebron, Curry, Irving, Paul and others, but he can be top 10 for sure.

All I'm saying is that he appears to be working HARDER to achieve the same open shots.  He didn't look amazing in the preseason either, I don't think it was just the heat defecating all over him.

He used to be aewsome cause he was able to get open so easily, he could shake 3 guys and still have time for a cup of coffee before releasing the shot.  now it just seems like anything inside the lane is this outrageously awkward, full sprint to get a window, at which point he throws up a prayer.  And 1-for-7 behind the arc, we haven't even gotten to that yet.

I know he will be better by Christmas.  I know he's rusty.  But that first step that would knock people out of their shoes, I don't see it anymore.  that balance, that grace, the smooth effortless nature of it - I do'nt see that.  If he has to work harder than before, his shelf life shrinks, fatigue becomes a major issue. That gear is still there, but it's going to take more out of him.  In the playoffs, he'll be tired and a step slower... I doubt they could beat the Knicks in a 7 round series right now.

I doubt they could beat the Knicks in a 7 round series right now.

its game 1 against one of the best defensive teams in the NBA- it looks harder bc the heats were converging on him as soon as he makes a move to the hole
and it doesnt help when one of the defenders is lebron james

He didn't look amazing in the preseason either

 ???

He scored 145 points in 191 minutes on 48% shooting.  Everyone was singing his praises all preseason and he made a lot of highlight plays against starting NBA defenses.

He had a bad game last night but I think you're way over-reacting.

WTH?  I didn't see this game but my buddy told me that CP3 lived up (down) to his moniker by going 3 or 10 from the line.  3 of 10!

What is up with him?  Is he dating a Kardashian or something?

its game 1 against one of the best defensive teams in the NBA- it looks harder bc the heats were converging on him as soon as he makes a move to the hole
and it doesnt help when one of the defenders is lebron james

Also, seems to me that defense is usually ahead of offense (in terms of firing on all cylinders) at the beginning of the year.

Chicago will face Miami again on December 5th (in Chicago).  We'll see if that's enough time for Chicago's offense to jell a bit vs what is probably the scariest trapping defense in the league.

New offense with far less isolation and he is adapting. The ball is out of his hands more and the offense utilizew alot of off ball and flare screens and diving to the hoop. Before it was basic pick and roll, iso or post ups for blake.

He will be fine as will rose, noah was hurt last night also and it showed, he couldn't even dunk the ball, his groin strain is still an issue.

he s 95% for the very first games of the season, he will quickly degrade as games take their toll. You dont come all clean from such a massive injury he had. I said it and say it once, he will never be the same, people should accept it. Heat have a highway in front of them this year, again. Spurs will kill themselves reaching the finals again; their window oportunity was last year, and they screwed. No second chance.

what game are you seeing? he has the SAME quickness and explosiveness he had before..the difference is he hasnt played real-time basketball in OVER A YEAR
rust is expected and he pressed so he made alot of bad decisions..he got to the hole just as fluidly as he did before

even with one year of recovery, the injury is so bad his skills and stamina are definitely diminished, it cannot be otherwise, stop dreaming. To be honest the guy was frail compared to the others, from the get go. He s not going to last long with the beating he s taking being a bit smaller than most players and now with his knee shot. He risks another dramatic injury every single time he gets to do a layup. I have 0 doubt it will happen again. Some huge center is going to elbow him again one day and he ll crash on the floor bad.
Also he will never win a chip and as "i dont remember who"  said it, he wont even be able to play in three or 4 years from now. Not everyone has the whole package, his best days are already behind him, deal with it and adapt.  He ll keep milking of their money the young naive fans who worship him thanks to the image the nba and adidas built for him, he ll still be a multi millionaire not going to shed a tear. He s the typical so called humble nice guy, hard working short man who never do anything wrong in the mind of most, the people's champ, the constant outsider, because thats how he s been marketed. Good for him and his sponsors, but he aint going anywhere in terms of winning shit in the nba.

Landry/Jack were huge for us last year tho.

...and we beat the Lakers by 31.  That was a welcome surprise. I think I'll watch that again on replay...

Bulls with 2 point lead, 90 seconds left against the Heat.

Rose tries to drive to teh basket with 15 seconds left on the shot clock, already idocy... and coughs up the ball after a slow start move... then fouls the Kinck who then shoots 2 free throws and ties it.

Rose ain't Rose yet... dont know if he'll have that again.  Even if Bulls win, this play was usually when they'd close out.  Tonight it's just Rose showing us he's not ready.  Bullls get ball back, Rose throws up an awkward shot in the lane, and BOOM, misses it badly, knicks rebound.

it's only because NYK offense is selfish and inept and carmelo-dependent, that Bulls aren't down by 15.   Missed the last 9 shots.

Next play, Rose "caught in the air" and throws it out of bounds like a champ lol.... Rose stinks.

Game's on TNT, final 40 seconds.  Rose terrible on these last 3 plays, when the closers usually be closing.

Rose was 7 for 22 and did have the game winner... but only a desperation shot in the closing seconds.  He can still shoot, but damn it sucks seeing him play like this.

lakers are toast anyway. Gasol and kobe dont really give a damn they had their high times already. PAu was never meant to be a bball player in the first place, but a surgeon or something along those lines. You can tell pau doesnt give a single fuck, and it s been a while he didnt. Kobe has winning in his blood, so even if he knows they re not going anywhere, he ll keep giving his best thats just how he is, and also, he has nothing else in his life. Now i dont know maybe he enjoy family life and taking care of his daughters who knows. Both pau and kobe probably also slowly and subtly took their distances from each others once it was clear they didnt have anymore support to seriously contend for another chip. The whole howard fiasco prolly sealed it; they re now just having fun while it lasts. They re both loaded and have nothing to prove.

By the look on his face obviously he is, all of this is so hypocritical, they all know he fucked up and now is just whoring for attention and pity, dude clearly is depressed but also enjoy demonstrating his depression for some reasons. his too ghetto, thats what makes him horrible, he had 100's of millions but keeping it real with "da boyz" was more important, he knew reebok needed him more then he needed them, he wouldnt show up on set of TV commercial sets, his mum would stay in 5 star hotels drinking champagne and bill it to reebok, as if the slut knew the difference between cristal and a $4 bottle of champagne.

he burnt bridges with team management, he still had enough skill to ateast backup like derek fisher but his ego was out of control, no team wanted or was willing to try him out, sad think is he thinks he "retired" he was actually "Fired"

their lack of D completely obliterates the pros of their offense.

Not sure you can learn D tho. You either have great defenders from the getgo or you dont but you dont teach them.

playing better D often means playing worse offense ... the energy you take from somewhere will lack somewhere else as a result, except if you do more PED.

Agreed, things like getting back on defense you expend more energy! The Heat are a perfect example, Lebron, Wade are both great defensive players especially Lebron! You can create offense with great defensive play, that's what the Heat are best at!

howard continuing the drama in houston as expected: came in as the new king, with harden lin and asik pretending to buy into it, fact is you can already tell it's not gonna work between them: harden already thinking why in hell did i get my ass kicked from OKC, i m never ever going to win a chip with these rocket bums, and howard is indeed the clown everyone said he was, man must he be regretting at the moment not doing his best to stay at okc with westbrook and durant. Houston not even able to beat fucking shitty current lakers  playing WITHOUT kobe but with all their own "stars" ? wow.

Howard will never grow up, i think now it s pretty obvious it can only worsen ; already accusing the others of being responsible for last losses... still only caring about the money more than wins. This dude is the most overated and wasted talent the league has known in a decade. He can laugh all he wants, once his carrer is finished, he ll still have to pay alimony for like 8 kids... I think rose is going to get hurt again

rose is expending more energy than he should be, in order to achieve what he used to be able to achieve gracefully.

I mean, I can go out on the ball court with a high school star who is casually playing - I can sprint my ass off, fake him, wing up a hookshot, and score ONE basket on him.

Does it mean I'm better than him?   Goodness, no.  he's calm and playing relaxed and I'm going all out for one play that requires me to use a lot of energy.   It's not sustainable.

rose is a smart guy, you can see he ponders many of his words and he spends a lot of time observing things. He probably already realized he s toast , will never be the same , that it's not worth giving his best for a team that will never go anywhere near a chip. It must be pretty hard to accept how things went but the millions he s making must make it a lot easier to swallow.  Humans adapt to survive, when a path is condemned, they simply find another one, just like water flooding the soil. Yeah, they will be watching it together, while Vanessa and La La spend there money in beverly hills.

Kobe is going to come back rusty as fuck, he is tough mentally, i know 90 years olds who are tough mentally, doesnt mean shit physically.. 35 is not old but its fucken old in NBA years, especially with durant at 24 yrs old and Russel westbrook at 23.

Kobe will be forced to retire after this year, loyalty sounds great now, but when it comes to writing him a new contract  then you will see how business works, you cannot pay someone who does not peform, i dont believe that shit he had a great year last year, he was shocking defensively, it will be worse now cause no shaq, bynum or howard to block the lane, just old ass gasol.

his goin to be very slow this season, very predicatable. I dont want to wish bad on him, but reality is a 35 yr old rehabing on anti gravity treadmills is not a team i would count on, I count them out.

Carmelo is just a shooter, overrated too, he will never wear a ring, JR smith is cancer, when you think his going well, the cancer comes back more aggresive.

I will give a proper assesment of the NBA around Feb, its too early now, teams with new rosters and coaches take a season to learn there plays.

Gasol will milk it for what he can, he knows his career is wrapped up, but he can always make a little money in Europe.
when the lakers lose 6 straight this year expect dantoni to be fired at end of year, they are crazy not to go for the 1st pick in the draft, replace kobe with wiggins.

Wiggins is exactly Lebron in high school MINUS 40 pounds of muscle.

He's way more Durant than Lebron.  Certainly can be a franschise player...

And being the conspiracy theorist that I am... and hailing from Cleveland when they "won" the local Lebron sweepstakes to keep the hometown kid at home... I'm VERY sure that if the Lakers are in the bottom 5, that pick is THEIRS.

It'd be a marketing dream... Kobe's last run, Wiggins rookie of year, Melo or Lebron coming to town, along with whoever else will run to LA to try to be escorted to the finals by the refs to meet the heat...

I agree on Lebron... there's a chance he might surprise everyone and do something like Lakers... but kobe has been a disrespectful prick to lebron so many times, I'm sure lebron doesn't want to play on kobe's team, ya know?

Lebron will probably stay in Miami, unless they get swept in first round + Bosh breaks a leg + Wade's knee is shot and suddenly it's a shitty place to be.

THEN?  Who knows... imagine CLEVELAND might be attractive... Irving + wiggins maybe + Lebron... whew, that team would be pretty badass!

Irving + wiggins maybe + Lebron... whew, that team would be pretty badass!

carmelo... ugh, he sucks... talented ball hog whose skills are going to decline rapidly in the next 2-3 years... perfect for LA!

Lebron will be a Milwaukee buck before his a laker, I could see lebron in Golden state.
Pacers are looking good though, I'm not sure what's the deal with wades knees they maybe degenerative regardless of any treatment he has done, his probably shot too, but wont retire cause he will forfeit the money owed to him.

and fuck Carmelo, volume shooters are always treated as stars, give Joe Johnson 25 shots a game and he will be putting up MJ like numbers, trust me on this. Give Steph curry 25 shots a game and he will avg 30 a game.
Carmelo is about personal stats, his play will never win champioships, but in his defense who else is going to save them? JR smith? world peace? amare? horrible team, I feel bad for New York fans.

is it me or is Carmelo fat? I though he took up boxing to increase his stamina during a NBA season, fucken lies right there.

Warriors will trade Lee, clear cap and go after Lebron.

Their 8-man playoff rotation: Curry - Klay - Iggy - Lebron - Bogut; Harrison Barnes - Draymond Green - Festus Ezeli

That team shats all over the Heat team that won the last 2 titles  :o :o :o

I agree Lebron most likely will stay in Miami! The only other possibility is Cleveland! The other reason that nobody talks about is he and his wife like Miami! His kids are going to school here he is comfortable! The weather, no state income tax, and the Heat organization!

Calfzilla, I haven't followed your blazers, they do have amazing talent, historically there mediocre, but I have always liked that team and the arena.

problem is I don't lamarcus Aldridge, I don't think he has a heart beat sometimes. he looks like he could dominate.
Lillard the point guard is great, shoots to much but I guess he needs to and its working but his fg% is fucked up that's where shit will bite you. What the fuck is Wesley Mathews role on this team, his a shooting guard but never shoots. Lopez playing well.

early days calfzilla, im thinking they should have a decent year but OKC will rape them in the 1st round.

Good analysis. I'm big on Lillard I really think he's the future. I have similar feelings as you toward Aldridge. He's a big dude that can shoot but yeah very little heart. Also someone needs to whisper to him "you're 6-11 250lbs go bang and get tough inside. More dunks!

This season I would be happy with a playoff appearance with the usual first round exit.

Aldridge is trying to be like garnett, shoot jumpers only cause banging in the paint will shorten the career.
This is why you need to respect players like shaq, hakeem, dennis rodman, etc, we can post that he plays with no heart but im sure its physically taxing to have players 250+lbs weighing on you and hacking away at you.

That'd be one badass lineup!

Lebron will have to decide - Do I jump on this potential studfest and win 3-4 more titles... Or do I settle for mediocrity in Miami (Wade knee) but keep the family happy and stable in their new home city?

On the other hand, even without Wade, I bet a lot of stars would love to come to miami and take Wade's spot.  Who's going to be available in 1-2 years for that?

its his attitude I don't like, he has a arrogant vibe about him, he shoots 25 times a game. He wont win a championship, him and Carmelo will be ringless. Now that the pacers are very strong and there still is lebron, I don't see rose or Carmelo in the finals.

Carmelo and Rose are just talented one on one players. steve kerr owns them.

Fucking moron. His defensive rating "this year" is 87. That's unreal. For comparison, Dwight Howard's best statistical defensive year was in 2010 when he won defensive player of the year, his d rating that year was 94. Lower is better.

Dude can't shoot a lick anymore since that elbow injury. But that's another issue.

Of the many poster-worthy dunks in his career, Jordan singled out his slam on Patrick Ewing in the 1991 playoffs as one of his favorites.

Jordan did a quick spin away from Charles Oakley on the baseline, soared to the hoop and put down a one-hand slam in the face of Ewing's challenge.

Jordan said he thinks about that one "very, very often."

"I told him, Georgetown guys don't block shots, they take charges," Jordan said on the video.

"I dunked it on him so hard, it was unbelievable. Every time I see him, that's the first thing I remind him of."

how about those Knicks...what did you expect, brick layers like melo and JR smith just jacking up shots and bricks, the teammates are not motivated to even rebound. There not being involved as they just see melo and JR go one one on every play.

Melo is not suited for the big lights of New York, he thought he was on lebron level he is way above his head now.

He wont/cannot play defence, all he does is hoist shots, his very predictable.

Amare must be forced to retire, fuck his knees. fuck him off somehow, his owed 45M so I guess he wont retire.

NYK suck. Up 20 on the Pacers and still lose. Pathetic.

This time last year they were finals favourites, look how they have imploded, chandler is out which make the middle easier to get to, world peace is a fucken loser, JR smith is a train wreck and he has bad karma for killing his best friend.

Carmelo is a good player, no basketball IQ whatsoever, he cannot read the defense or memorise his own offense, trust me, his that fucked up. I guarantee you this guy will never be a champion as a leader, he will need a lebron or a prime kobe Bryant, actually I don't know how prime kobe will even play with a shoot first type like melo.

I can see Espn hyping up kobe's imminent return, its going to be like that Affleck, timberlake movie Runner Runner, lots of hype but fuck all results, his completely out of condition, he needs another 4 months off, I don't give a fuck if his "The black Mamba" his 35 yrs old with a broken down body. God forbid he takes one for the team and comes off the bench to ease in the offense, his first shot will be a long fadeaway brick...lakers will flameout before the all star break, all those players playing now will be on the bench cause kobe will make sure there confidence is not so high they will decide to shoot first before passing to him.

They should let him play out the year and tell him "Thanks for the memories" why the fuck would you want to revolve a billion dollar franchise and worldwide known team like the Lakers around a old shooting guard, fuck signing Carmelo too, his miserable.

this years draft is sick, the first 3 players will change franchises within 2 seasons. I can see wiggins coming out the gate a bit shaky but killing it a few games in and as he puts on weight his going to be awesome, I look forward to next season, not really caring for this season.

its very to to tell, pacers can knock the heat off if the refs don't bail the heat out, bosh and chalmers are on the way out.

if wade is having issues this early then I would not back the heat at all. Lebron can take them to the finals or atleast eastern conference finals, but like Jordan you do need a pippen with a paxson and steve kerr.
I like lebron so too early to hate on him now, its not even Xmas.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose injured his right knee during the third quarter of Friday night's 98-95 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers and did not return.

The 2011 NBA MVP was taken to the locker room at the end of the third quarter, barely putting any weight on the injured leg.

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said Rose will have an MRI Saturday on his right knee in Los Angeles.

"He has pain and he felt like he couldn't push off his right knee," Thibodeau said.

Rose tore the ACL in his left knee in April of 2012 and missed all of last season while recovering from reconstructive knee surgery.

The top pick in the 2008 draft, Rose was averaging 15.4 points this season.

Derrick Rose is finished, believe me on this, he cant shoot jump shot, he needs to drive and needs explosiveness, say good bye to that.

I would like to see the pacers in the finals.  The East sucks. Nobody but Miami and Indiana. Would love to see blazers vs pacers in finals but I know it will prob be a rematch of Heat Spurs or Spurs Pacers.

Rose is done just like Brandon Roy. Lillard is the new Rose.

Heat's ownership is nothing like the Yankees! Mickey Arison does not pay luxury tax! The Nets are the Yankees of the NBA or even the Knicks! The people that dislike the Heat are jealous of the talent ie Lebron especially! Spoelstra never gets the credit he deserves for his coaching! Pat Riley the best G.M. and one of the greatest coaches ever! Just a great run organazation! See ya in the Eastern Finals Shizz!

rose is expending more energy than he should be, in order to achieve what he used to be able to achieve gracefully.

Bulls should draft another guard this year... Rose is never going to be a good NBA player again.

Lakers are all fucked, injuries everywhere, kobe will do everything and POP goes the knee.

the real LOL's are at the NY teams, both are fucked. I know pierce broke his hand, but his broken down anyway, give those shots to Joe johnson, and deron williams is done too, always injured. I cant believe he went to play in Turkey when the NBA was on strike, how fucken pathetic with money are these ballers.

half the denver nuggets went to china to earn some $$..

His going to abandon that team calfzilla, I know that much. by xmas I think he will totally go all out and then will see how he is, he WILL be a step or 2 slower. but I have been wrong.

35 yrs old, Achilles injury, his human. fuck the nicknames and the past, as long as he can shoot a decent jumper he should be ok, but athletic kobe is not what im expecting nor is he or the lakers expecting.. Let's see.

Portland are doing a great job, I have not seen a full game but there record is great and they have beaten the top tier teams.

BTW Durant has peaked. His not getting any better, I would of thought he would of put on some lean muscle but he still looks like a 17yr old. Good thing is your jump shot is the last to go, so he could be in the league for a long time like Ray allen.

I read an article that the Blazers plan ahead that robin will be "left on an island" voluntarily. Basically he's not getting any help defending.

if by it you mean a team, yeah, you re right, he doesnt have a team anymore. I mean...kaman and ..small short scrubs everywhere, steve nash, steve blake? Come on. Everything has an end.

Pretty sad to see the lakers take that path after all these years of domination but hey. Not sure kobe or pau really give a fuck at this point, neither does dantoni. LEt's not forget they re all multi millionaires please. As if they could possibly give a single serious fuck about it.

What about mike brown who is still paid by the lakers lol. Kobe will keep people watching for some months until it is obvious lakers are realistically toast/out of contention for a chip for several years. They paid him knowing it full well. They just paid him so they could still sell merchandising with his name on it. It's only strictly business at this point.

Lakers blown out by OKC, kobe 0-3, Gasol is complaining to the media. Things are not going well in LA.
The spurs are under the radar, they are playing amazing, blazers also.

the Thunder are the hottest team now.

Kobe is one person.  OKC is a young, athletic, cohesive, well coached team.  Meanwhile, outside of Kobe and Gasol, there isn't one legitimate NBA starter on the Lakers roster.  Plus, Gasol obviously isn't himself anymore.  He's had leg injuries the last couple years and he's admitted more than once that he doesn't play as hard for D'Antoni.  That leaves Kobe as the only top level player on the team and he's 4 games into a comeback from a catastrophic Achilles injury.  What exactly is he supposed to do with a team full of scrubs against the OKC's and Miami's of the World?

Kobe is playing himself back into shape and he's going to be fine.  What the front office does in the off season remains to be seen.

Pacers are still overrated, lebron will eat them out in the playoffs.

How about them Lakers, Kobe playing the point, and doing a fucked job in the process, turning the ball over, getting his ass trapped, he was tired out there, he said his "legs got stiff during the game" yep that's what age will do kobe, your not 25 you venomless mamba.

Atlanta harassed him and he looked foolish, but mike d looking even more pathetic by not yanking him out.
Kaman, LOL we all know his fucken pathetic, but why sign him?? poor guy, his now crying to media, Gasol really needs to demand a trade instead of being sensitive like lamar odom the crackhead...you know life is fucked when khloe is one initiating the divorce..what happened to the "Im standing by my man". Lets see the next black athlete who will settle for this pig.

fuck blood doping in Germany, fuck all what you think kobe is capable of doing, I saw a old man tonight looking like straight trash.  On the topic of trash, Knicks hahahhaa they live and die on the 3pt shot, they have been dying a lot, they have nobody to rebound, I don't know why, who or what gave JR Smith the license to shoot at will, 3pt shots every minute, brick after brick. Reggie miller never attempted more shots then this jerk does. Is Iman shumpert still playing??

Lakers and Knicks highest payroll in the league hahahahah

P.S
Kobe, stick to shooting. Your fucked as a point guard, you are supposed to pass to your teammates not the other team. "My legs got stiff on me" Fuck you, I never heard Jordan say shit like that...Atlanta players read you and destroyed you,  its all good kobe, you had a great career unlike derrick rose the other player that needs to expend a lot of energy to do one move.

I think I will attend the Blazers Clips game day after Xmas.

Dantoni just seems like awful coach. I saw a thing on espn today talking about Kaman being benched. They agreed with me, didnt understand why. Kaman is not the same player he was 3 or 4 years ago but still a great backup big man. Hell I would be ok with Portland picking him up to backup Robin Lopez.

The Lakers have only two legitimate NBA starters on their roster.  They were considering moving one of them.  lol.

Gasol will play well with Kobe making sure he gets the ball closer to the hoop.  None of it matters while D'Antoni is there anyway.

He still has trade value, because he has an expiring contract, but the Lakers don't want to take back salary past this season, so the trade possibilities are pretty limited.

They have to be kicking themselves for not pulling the trigger on Pau for Kevin Love a few years ago.

Its not sad, blowing out your knee or acl at 23 is sad like greg oden.

Kobe has 5 championships, he had a fab career, not sad at all. His fine, His a gold medalist, all-star, MVP etc, he is a moron, for the life of me i dont know how he can think he can keep playing forever, a injury is what will stop him.

He has had a major one last season and now this one, its called aging, the body has to break down, the writing is on the wall, we all know he is not going to just retire, but that body is like rice bubbles, cause its going to SNAP CRACKLE AND POP. He is so stupid, he keeps getting injured and then the big comeback ( his a drama queen), fucken idiot. your time is up. Forget chasing Jordans scoring record.

It happens to all of us, including you Beach Bum.

He just needs to be like Jordan and find a hobby like gambling or poker.

and regarding kevin love, as i said, i have no faith in white american players. I think he broke the double doubles record. Great.

Age does catch up with all of us, although I am holding my own.   :)  I don't have a problem with him chasing championships.  I wish the NBA had more players like him.  A dying breed.

I don't think race has anything to do with whether someone can play.  Nash is a two-time MVP.  Now that's someone who needs to hang it up.  Dirk is a superstar.  Pau was a stud.  His brother is very good 5.  Plenty of others.

Let me book this, they say kobe is out for 6 weeks, I will bet in 2 weeks he will say he will back to play cause his a "Warrior"

Just watch, I guarantee it 100%. This guy is a attention whore.

He is a Warrior.  He played the entire second half with a broken kneecap.  He's a friggin machine.

Kobe and derrick rose can enjoy each others company now.

This season right? I say shut him down for the rest of this season. Then you can cut the dead weight during the offseason, and open the checkbook for free agents.

Kobe has two more years left. Surround him with a team that can win.

Ok arce, you need to inform me on lakers news cause im flat out here.
so jerry west is worried about kobe or lakers? you mean kobe's mental health or his health in general. Whats to worry about, the guy is millionaire 100 times over, he blows out a knee, his forced to retire, he will survive. Its nothing really to worry about. These a rich people problems.

But NO, kobe must play, not fair for lakers fans, I was going to go and watch him in March, if his out, what's the point?? there a Pros and Cons its up to his boss really.

even if he shuts it down, his 36 yrs old next year. His not getting younger or faster...but the other players are.

It’s a safe bet that James didn’t share then, with Bryant, this darker assessment of basketball mortality that he offered to reporters after the game.

“ONLY The man above knows how much time he’s going to give me in this game,” James said. “Once He decides I don’t have any more time to give, then I’ll call it quits.”

Bryant is not religious, so he’s never going to put it that way.

Asked if he remembers Michael Jordan’s final stint with the Washington Wizards, James recalled, “I remember a few plays. We ALL got to go some time. (Expletive), NONE of us can play for EVER. We ALL gotta' go.”

Andrew Bynum is a fuckwit.

Miami beat my good friend calfzilla's team. I don't know how, but they did, Miami are for real, Fuck the pacers.
Lebron is still the king.

In knicks news, they are still losing, I don't know if there just tanking for wiggins, I think Carmelo has checked out for the year..you can tell when a player checks out, when they keep jacking up shots and play no defense, not even act like there playing defense.

Miami beat us without Lebron. The ugly dinosaur Bosch hits a 3  ::) at the end to win. I don't care though, Blazers are still overachieving.

Andrew Bynum, I hate that guy. Everything that's wrong with today's athlete. I heard a rumor today from someone who knows him and says he doesn't even like basketball that much. How the fuck are you so physically gifted and somewhat talented and have the opportunity to play a fun game for millions yet so stupid to behave like a man and do your job. Just beyond me. I hope he retired and spends all his money and ends up broke in a few years.

I had no idea lebron was out, shame for Portland fans who only get to see him once a season.
Its not a bad loss, they will learn from it, fact is last second shots are hearbreaking, especially if its from a sucker like Bosh who is overrated and who is getting a amazing ride on wade and lebrons coat tails.

Bynum..never was a fan, he should be a Knick, him and Carmelo are perfect for eachother. Bynum will bad mouth the coach while his on the bench, he thought he can get away with it with mike brown, Dan gilbert told him to get the fuck out, him and his fucked up knees. I remember they asked him years ago "where would you like to play" he replied "I don't care, every city has a bank" anyone that takes him based on that thought and his degenerative knees deserves him and his fucked up attitude.

He is a great example of a player that has a few championships but is still useless. Championships only count for players like Kobe, lebron, Duncan and hopefully Durant, This guy is a true cancer, I think he went at Irving for being a ball hog, (BTW where the fuck is the cavs #1 pick in the draft? is he playing? and who is it??  he must be having flashbacks of kobe. Bynum cannot control his knees, but he needs to be thankful the cavs took a chance with him, ungrateful fuck...I totally forgot how he conned the sixers too.

I really hope the knicks get him, I have to admit, I love seeing them lose, watch this, Melo has been out for a week, he will come back fat. No work ethic at all, just a chucker. Bynum and Amare on the same team  hahah please let this happen.

As I said before, its not imperative for every player to win a championship, in 10 years from now, players like Bynum, melo, howard will never be mentioned (there more about collecting money which is why im dumbfounded how howard left many millions on the table to leave LA to play in a hole like Houston. whether they win rings or not nobody will care, Bynum will be forgotten within 2 yrs from now, playing in Australia for $20k a year.

Rose will never get a ring, lets go add him with melo, howard and cp3.  I figured he was out injured. thats fucked up, what a wasted pick.

BTW i dont consider Greg a bust, injury prone yes, its just unfortunate we call injured players bust, i guess the media over exposes them, they get injured then the media pays them back and labels them, his a good player when his on the court.

I heard from a very good source that Magic did bring several prostitutes to the hotel at night.  Don't think he was ever arrested but he did engage in this behavior.

Calfzilla, Im sure Jordan was into in too,  Kevin Durant is the king of prostitutes, he was in vegas for a mayweather fight and had a few organised, his apparently very anti social and can only get laid by hookers.
Chris Webber was into hookers too. its all good, hookers get paid to leave.

Sorry about the Blazers second straight loss.

On Blazers:  like I said repeatedly, the Blazers are overachieving. I do expect them to have 2 and 3 game skids and I do NOT expect them to be number 1 when the playoffs start. I will be happy finishing in 4th place. These losses might actually be good to give them a reality check and ignite some anger.

On prostitution:  Durant does seem to be very introverted, that's funny he uses only prostitutes. Regarding magic, I was told by the former head of security at the hotel the Lakers would stay at that Magic would have several prostitutes a night.

this year has been big year for injuries. especially for big name players.

I like Kyrie, he was born in Melbourne, Australia, he could play for our shitty national team if he wanted to.

I wish him a speedy recovery, I hope he has a chance to play with another great player so he can compete.

Derrick Rose asked the bulls not to bring in a scorer, as he only wants to be the scorer for that team, fuck rose and his leg, I would smile if he tears a acl when he gets back.

It's not nonsense.  Playing in a 20 point blowout to get a scoring record is weak.  Kobe had 62 in three quarters against Dallas in 2006.  The game wasn't close so he appropriately sat out the entire 4th quarter.  When Kobe got his 81 he was leading the Lakers back from behind, not playing garbage time.  I'm happy for Lebron's shooting efficiency but it doesn't change the fact that he should have been sitting.

Lebron was in a groove. He didn't want to sit down. He's the best player in the NBA. He can do what he wants. When you're in the zone like that the last thing you want to do is sit. And 20 points is not a blowout. The Heat were keeping their foot on the gas pedal. Going on a streak like that can carry over to the next game for the entire team. (even though they lost the next game)

It wasn't garbage minutes. The 3rd quarter began, the Heat were up by 20(not a blowout yet with that much time remaining), Lebron was in a groove and wanted to keep playing.

These men are pro athletes and Lebron has carte blanche to do what he wants as the best player in the NBA. There were plenty of games where Michael Jordan would keep playing with a big lead late in a game. Especially when he was motivated based on what an opponent said prior. It's called being a competitor with a will to dominate. I don't see what's so hard to understand about this.

Lebron is playing at the peak of his powers. Enjoy it while it lasts.

LOL.....this series is not over. If Indiana wins game 4 they regain homecourt advantage. There have been a lot of upsets in the playoffs so far. Portland and Washington winning 2 games on the opponents' floor, Dallas winning in SA.

But Miami should be the only sure thing since Jefferson is hurt now.

But it's a best of 7 series. You have to win 4 games to advance. Not 2 games.........4 games

The problem is the way Hibbert is playing. He is completely mind-fucked right now. Zero confidence. There's has to be something fucked up going on in his personal life. The teammate chemistry isn't very good either when you consider two players have gotten in a fistfight just a week ago.

I think the champion comes out of the west this year. I like The Clippers because of their coach. Doc Rivers is a great coach. It should be a Spurs-Clippers western conf finals matchup.

Calm down Ronnie. Don't pencil in the Heat for the finals just yet. The Bobcats have given the Heat a tough time in Miami, with a white dude named McRoberts in the starting lineup.

I look at the Pacers situation differently. Everything can be wiped clean if they win today.

Then they start a fresh series with the easily beatable Wizards.

Lets's not forget that the Pacers play the Heat tough. The season series was 2-2, and we all know that last years finals went 7 games.

They should be alright. They just need to beat the brakes off of Atlanta today.

True, but maybe benching Roy was the best move. Vogel hurt the team by sticking with Roy for far too long.

The smaller lineup looked great in Atlanta.

So awesome to see Dwight howard and James Harden get bounced like that in the first round.

Ha ha!

I never got to watch this series, but Howard is just pathetic.
Let me guess, harden kept jackin up 3s and Jeremy Lin had no clue on how to run the offense.
Money well spent.

Yes. Jeremy Lin too. Linsanity  ::)

Can't stand harden and his flopping, flailing and head bobbing.

Howard is good but should be better given his tools. But he is a loser, always will be. Smile and jokes around too much. Doesn't have the killer instinct and that's why he couldn't get along with Kobe.

Kobe is too much of an Alpha.  A beta like Dwight can't relate to him.  They speak two different languages.

I give Dwight credit for playing well in the series..........but he's still a bitchmade fagg0t.

Boom!!! That is the beauty of winning a hard fought series. Now Indiana can start fresh again. Now the Wizards stand in the way of another east finals appearance.

I like Indiana but I doubt Hibbert is over his slump.

Hibbert with zero points.  Indiana is the team I was hoping would win it all this year and they have collapsed like no team in recent memory.  I can't fucking believe this.  They are a laughingstock.  Lebron virtually unopposed in the East....AGAIN.  This is going to be the weakest 3 peat in NBA history.

I don't know what's going on with Hibbert but I could care less. I hope he continues to play like shit. There is obviously something going on in his personal life that is affecting his play.

With Nene and Gortat down low and as physical as they play, Hibbert may not be a factor this entire series. Congrats to the Wizards. Four playoff road wins during this postseason. very impressive. It's time to start taking this Wizards team very seriously. It's only one game but if the Wizards get up 3-1 or 3-2 in the series, I think they win in 6. If it goes 7 games, the Pacers win, I think.

Chris Paul hitting 8 threes, that's great. Will it happen again? I doubt it..
I don't like either teams, Westbrook is killing me with his skirts and dresses, not sure what kind of gay message his trying to send.

Off the court Westbrook is among the biggest tools in the NBA.  His "fashion" needs to stop.  Him and D-Wade are way beta with that shit.  They are trying too hard doing way too much.  Trying to earn a guest spot on Big Bang Theory or something.

I know flaming gays that don't wear the stuff wade and westbrook wear, Big bang theory would never cast them, neither can talk, and both are ugly.
wade believes his going to be a Hollywood star, this will never happen.
Westbrook is very feminine.

That has to be due to a beef with the owner.  Firing Mark Jackson doesn't make sense to me.

Sadly, as a Wizards fan....this series is definitely swung the other way. Wizards only put up 63 points in game 3. Not good. :-\
