About time, as deserving a talent as you can get. Add to the fact he never held a McMahon title and it shows you how good he was. Never needed a belt.

I really felt for him during the segment of he and his father on Beyond the Mat. What a horrible way to come into the world, his life has been more downs than ups thats for sure. Add to the mix what happened to his sister and its no wonder he was more than a little off. Hell of a talent though.

Jake Roberts is one of the best ring psychologist to ever lace a pair of boots.
I seriously hope he keeps his shit together.
He would come out to my parents house a cupola times a month for the last couple years of my dad's life. Last time I saw him he was shirtless at their dinning room table drinking with my dad. I sure bothers me to think that my parents contributed to his problem.
Not too long ago I found the audio from his visit. (My old man used to always roll audio when him and other guys were telling stories) It's pretty entertaining

It's not my business, friend, but I think Jake would have had those same problems regardless of your family. What I mean is, he would have had the problems no matter who he visited. I hope I'm not stepping out of line; I just don't want you to beat yourself up over something for nothing.
Those recordings sound fascinating. If I ever make it down your way, I insist we get together and mark out over some beers!

I could tell you anything from Chris Adams drunk at Johnny Valinetines funeral to the time Fritz almost pulling a gun on Bob Orton Sr. and my dad when I was a 10 or 11.
I've posted about it before. I'll find it and bump it.
My dad and fritz had a huge falling out after they were tag champions and after fritz took over the Sportatorium. It was a non wrestling related business deal. That's why my dad never worked in Dallas again until the end of his career.
