Oh man. That was sweet that he was feeling it! Empathy is a hard thing but most important thing to instill into your kids. He is feeling it! At least daddy knows he isn't raising a serial killer hahaha

I wish I could relate but I'm callused. My girls cry at everything. Took them to see "Marley and a me" movie thinking I was dad of the year cause rumor was it was a "chick flick". Epic backfire. All were crying and my youngest turned to me and said "Daddy why would you take me to see a really sad movie like this its so sad and horrible the doggy died?" so I hit up the dairy queen on the way home as all were sniffling and quiet and I was left feeling like the biggest fucking asshole on the planet.

Someone is asking to be bullied.

For the people who think this is great: Yay, a kid at 4 is already perfectly programmed to respond to stimuli specifically designed to elicit emotions. Change the tune and he's sitting up and begging, or rolling over and playing dead when he could be trying to achieve something.

He's a baby, ...that's what babies do, ...they cry.  ::)

I think it's not only adorable, ...it gives me renewed faith in the male species.

He's 4 yrs old; that's hardly a baby.

Besides the fact that males are not a seperate species, they may also 'man up'. Stop the pussyfication and let males be males again. Otherwise you get 'men' like our neighbours where the dad doesn't dare to say 'no' to his 16 year old son, because the kid will throw a crying tantrum...

As far as I'm concerned, four years old is a baby.  ;D

Besides the fact that males are not a seperate species,

The conduct of more than a few could easily lead one to think otherwise.

Stop the pussyfication and let males be males again. Otherwise you get 'men' like our neighbours where the dad doesn't dare to say 'no' to his 16 year old son, because the kid will throw a crying tantrum...

I would think letting the little guy cry IS infact letting that particular male be himself.
Not letting him experience his own natural expression of feelings, insisting he "man up" is what leads to parents fearful of their little boys crying.

I throw crying tantrums when I don't see boobies for a while.  Does that count for anything?
