Nope, not useless at all. I'll bet that during your time of celibacy you got a clearer view of men.
After the initial period of wanted to beat the living day lights out of every thing and everyone...  ;D

But seriously, didn't you find yourself being able to more clearly see men as they were, rather than seeing them as you wished they would be, or the way you thought they could be? Seeing a man as he is is a great thing.

How'd you know!  ;D

I go a clearer view of life and all its intricacies and bullshit.

Been there, ...done that, ...almost got the pointy ears like Spock,
...and very narrowly avoided committing eight counts of aggravated assault with depraved indifference!!!   :-X

But I gotta say, ...after the initial insanity, it was like doing a complete detox & starting a clean diet.

Believe it or not, I'd recommend it to everyone. When you've determined that sex with this person is NOT going to happen, and you approach the relationship from a spiritual perspective, rather than from a base instinctual one, its amazing how much better every aspect of that relationship is. Considerably less frustration on everyones part when we see our partners for who they really are, and can accept them as they are. We end up dating the real person, and not our fantasy of who they are, or their potential, or who they may pretend to be.
