what i find absolutely terrifying is that "da twinz" have not one, but TWO channels on youtube with over 750,000 subscribers

The Hodgetwins = 756,267 subs

In my country you can be famous by just talking trash and being trash. It's just a matter of exposure to social media.

Never saw the appeal.
They try to be funny but end up being annoying.
They try to be entertaining but end up being obnoxious.
They try to be knowledgeable but end up looking clueless.
The reason they are popular is the same reason why singers like Drake and Lil Wayne are popular. Shit can sell.

Many Jamaicans don't really like NA black folks. Many caribbeans blacks don't like NA black people.
They say that they have wasted their potential since they have all these opportunities around.
The ironic part is that Jamaica could be considered a third world country that has the potential to be known for a lot more than music, travel, and track and field.
Also, there is a hint of jealousy as well---especially against light skinned blacks, and NA blacks in general. Plus, culturally Jamaicans and Caribbean folk are different.

It's too funny how all of these wannabe celebrities try to make themselves famous on youtube. The fitness industry is loaded with them. Ironically, the more of a social media following you have, the smaller the chance that any Hollywood agent will ever touch you with a ten foot pole. So enjoy your Facebook and Instagram fame, because that's as good as it will ever get. Good thing youtube pays so well.
