Good - keep her home where she belongs.

Kansas... a HEAVILY republican state that Romney won.
Obama only got 38% of the popular vote. Romney was a hair under 60%.
And in this school, they manage to get 1000/1800 student signatures (or 55%) against Michelle Obama.
If you look at it that way, support for the obamas, given this decently sized sample of Kansas residents, has climbed almost 5% since the 2012 elections.
Way to go kansas... you just let the nation know you're beginning to lean further left. 33, why post things like this which actually show obamas GAINING support in Kansas? We can go to democratic underground if we want liberal kneepadding and feel-good stories. We don't need that here.

Good for them.
Just another stunt by the Obamas to rile up racial division, basically the only thing they are capable of doing.
And even at that they have been slipping in its effectiveness here lately.

ya know I'm being facetious :) I was expecting an argument about the validity of a 'petition', since anybody will sign anything and of course, you know high school kids are going to add fake names if it means they make national news. I mean, 250 signatures won't get them on the news.

Ordinarily this would be a good thing for the high school, but if 1200 parents have signed, then I would defer to them. It's not a political opposition. They're concerned about space/seating.
