Post by: funk51 on July 07, 2014, 10:58:06 AM
;D in his time he started a new trend away from mass for mass sake alone, sort of brought back the gironda ideal of bodybuilding.

I know that one of Zane's biggest criticisms is that he was "small." Comparatively, he was a bit smaller than much of his competition, but he certainly was not puny, and the symmetry and flow he brought onstage was unreal!!

Frank Zane really was a Bodybuilder who loved the Greek Olympian look. Small waist .. he trained totally different to to days guys. Broom stick twists into the hundreds. Very articulate.

I was in Franks home gym this summer, he still looks very good for his age and has an amazing home gym where he does personal training. He has always been one of my favourites.

BTW, Dave Mastorakis took this pic of Frank, he is the "Dave" mentioned into the autograph...
Saw a bunch more of the Mentzers from that same day, in that same hallway, taken by Dave, when we went to AOBS back in OCT...

Columbu said he beat Zane three times in his career and that Frank could never beat him

Zane's reaction: "Franco's full of shit...he never beat me".
