Never cared about TNA. Didnt even know they were on Spike?

The minor leagues of wrestling.

Sounds like they're fvcked. I don't see how that company can continue without a TV deal. They don't draw for live shows and no one buys their PPVs.

They're about a step below WWE, and a step above bingo hall Indy promotions.

But, given the current state of wrestling, being on top today is analogous to being the valedictorian of summer school. Pro-wrestling is, for all intense purposes, dead.

It is interesting...one guy hypothesized that Jeff Jarrett is still very much involved with TNA and is in cahoots with Dixie.....they shut the TNA doors and reopen as GFW..

Said this is the reason why Jeff hasn't announced any signings as of yet.

There is alot of hype about this new promotion, I really hope it lives up to it.

From a business standpoint this has been the biggest week in wrestling in a long time.

Tomorrow, WWE reports earnings and updated Network subscriber numbers. My guess is that those numbers will disappoint.

700K subscribers, lost 128K.......numbers should be over a million.

The hardy Boys vs. The Wolves (I think thats what they are called) was a very good match on last nights Impact.
Better than anything on WWF...

agreed, tna is the highest rated show on the spike network, this doesn't make sense....

From my understanding, Spike was covering some of the costs of putting on the show. So, while TNA was the highest rated show, it was probably not the most profitable.

Horrible name, stupid 6 sided ring, etc... They missed the opportunity early and its hard to make up lost ground.

On a recent wrestling podcast it was states that supposedly TNA was asking for 130 (not sure what this # is) but was offered 65.

Now there is a still a small chance that that a deal would be struck before the Oct deadline BUT the fall TV lineup is most likely already established seeing most new television airs in Sept..
