i'm considering reducing my 750grams rice to 600 grams rice and adding the difference in olive oil (70grams?)

so that i have to eat less

would this negatively affect my lean gains?

I don't think that it is possible to make that determination. You'll have to experiment and see. For me, I am pretty carb-sensitive and would probably do well on fewer carb calories and more fat calories (sorry, TA).

IIRC, you do well on more carbs, so YMMV.

It would help your lean gains its loaded with omega 3 and help your aching joints and help you to lose fat, just make sure that you dont put high heat on the olive oil cause this kills the omega 3 and make it useless.

I've always preferred house parties for NYE, where there is great food served throughout the evening and plenty of alcohol.   The club/pub scene on NYE is often a sad state of affairs, where people shell out money for watered down drinks, watching young kiddies throw up all over themselves.

I have not "gone out" on NYE for 20 years. My wife and I have a great steak and a couple of bottles of top shelf cabernet and then watch the fireworks from the next town over the trees.

Shit! 700g carbs/day?! I'd be a fat fucking fatass if I did that haha. I'm doing 2 a days 2x/wk and fasted cardio 3x/wk (30mins on a stepper) and i have to keep carbs at under 50g to get down to under 10% BF, after that I start throwing in cheat meals/days high in carbs.
Do you just have a fast metabolism? Do you keep fats super low? How high is your protein intake? I'm very interested in how you are accomplishing this as I'd love to be able to lean out on 700g carbs LOL

Well, kudos, brother. I guess you just have a superior metabolism. I have to go 1500cal to get down to sub 8%, and I've only managed to do that once in my life when I competed as a natty around 5% and flat as shit. Looked like I just came from a Siberian gulag  :-\

Sadly, to get to Coleman-esque proportions, you need to up the dose considerably and take in stupid calories, like 10K.

he's right and you're wrong. olive oil has a terrible 6:3 ratio (13:1), which is the most important component in assessing omegas.

halo, coconut oil is converted into medium-chain triglycerides almost instantly in the body, which means that it burns effectively and will not be stored as fat. otherwise, if you are concerned with omega 3, which does help to burn fat as well, add some bone in, skin on salmon, or herring/sardines. clean protein, clean fats.

So you tell me that I am wrong  them turn and agree with me and your only objection is that the omega 3 content is not very high and you also agree that is helps to burn fat, I guess you are suffering from alzheimer.

prince anabol,

bro

it makes no difference if you eat carbs or fats...

don't worry, choose either

choose neither

doesn't matter

very few things "contribute", almost none of them are subtleties

Pure coconut oil has many uses. It is great to cook with and it is good for your skin as a lotion. You must get food grade coconut oil though. I use it in the summer to keep my skin from drying out and to keep it soft. It also helps with scarring. I used it on my stomach after I had surgery and I have no scars as a result.

i eat like half fat, 1/4 protein, 1/4 carbs these days.  compared to eating high carbs and low fat, i never noticed a difference.  i never did super low carb long enough to make a judgment on that style.

i don't bother eating strictly "bodybuilding" foods anymore, either:

(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v417/Lurmonious/caesar_zps7b558110.jpg) (http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Lurmonious/media/caesar_zps7b558110.jpg.html)

greek yogurt, fruit, mayonnaise, etc.

again, no difference.  if anything, i'm leaner now than the days when i adhered to 3x as many "bodybuilding diet" rules:

(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v417/Lurmonious/back_zps15afd244.jpg) (http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Lurmonious/media/back_zps15afd244.jpg.html)

i admit though, if i were juicing and trying to get bigger, i would probably try to get as many of the extra calories from carbs.  fatty foods are kind of "worrisome" in that you get tons of calories but don't feel like you actually ate anything.

anabolichalo, for instance, good fats are good for ur hair, skin, blood sugar levels - which i'd put some emphasis on it since your carb intake is pretty high with high glycemic foods like rice, insulin sensitivity, immune system, reduced heart disease risk, stronger bones, better brain function etc  :)

this was the plan, but usually i take 1kg of chicken, no steak

600 grams chicken filet: 702kcal

147g protein
3g carb
10.2g fat

400 grams steak: 464kcal

94.8g protein
9.2g fat

303 kcal pwo (50g dextrose 30g whey)
23.4g protein
48.7g carb
1.5g fat

750 grams rice: 2595 kcal
48g protein
591g carbs
3.75g fat

90grams ultra fine oats + 30g whey: 430.5kcal
36.9g protein
59.4g carbs
6.9g fat

Total 4495,5 kcal
350 grams protein
702.1 grams carbs
31,55 grams fat

i gril the chicken

You don't eat 700g carb a day, simply because there aren't 590g carbs in 750g rice...
not even close to that lol
