Actually VERY COOL older area near downtown LA. Lots of craftsman and adobe type houses (1910s/1920s architecture). Very solid investment probably. And straight down Olympic or Pico or Santa Monica Freeway to Gold's.

if MIKE OHEARN wanted to be anonimus,he WOULD NOT ever post the pictures of his house called "a castle" and also tag the address of it...or you think he is sooo stupid that he doesnt know how to use instagram,facebook etc so he accidentally posted his address?!?!? ... and when he called his house a castle I as a fan of bodybuilding and this gossip forum posted it... this is called journalism not privacy infranting

Unfortunately this is a product of MB trying to focus to much on the American market, their designs went big down hill ever since Chrylser got involved. lowering quality and manufacturing models in Mexico and india and so forth.
Until the 90's MB built its rep on one thing and one thing only. Cars engineered by germans, styled by germans and built by germans in germany. Now they are plastic shite, guided by Americans, styled by homos and made by mexicans. Great. If mercedes was a chocolate maker it would be Hersheys.

Funny thing is I didn't know their appreciation of the meximarican market and looking the pic of the car my first thought was - "looks suspiciously like an american pseudo luxury limousine".

My mistake re Mexico I got mixed up with BMW.
Whilst the merger ceased years ago, I believe the Daimler-Chrysler merger had a a long lasting effect on Mercedes. Daimler Benz purchased Chrysler and formed Daimler-Chrysler, I would consider that a merger. One of the chief execs publicly stated that mercedes over-engineer their cars and can be more profiable by addressing this. Yes the merger didnt benefit Chrysler either, but from that point onwards there was a shift in terms of focus from the European market towards the American market. When mergers take place they have effect on all parties and those effects typically last years after the merger happens whether it is unsuccessful or not. When they separated it didnt mean eveything was back to normal the next day. Chrsyler and Mercedes shared parts, and after that mercedes reliability went down. Of course it takes two to tango, and bad decisions were made by mercedes too.
I think most Mercedes fans who are old enough will remember the cars, years prior to the mid 90's, being on another level in terms of build quality both inside and out. That view was held not only by the public but also there was plenty of coverage of it in the media.
