I think that's anthony davis more then anything. He is a future all-time great, he has better stats than KG and Duncan at similar ages.

I read that were gonna offer Lemarcus Aldridge a max deal this summer. Kawaii will get a max deal and Aldridge is from Texas and played college ball in Texas and he has a son in San Antonio. So allegedly he's coming to us. So, well have Kawaii, Parker, Aldridge, for some years to come. We'll see how Mills turns out as a future starting point guard. The Spurs will be good for years to come. Coach Popp is the greatest NBA coach of all time.

Tim Duncan on his way out, Aldridge wants to be a champ and he's not going to do it in Houston, Dallas or L.A. of all the Texas teams, he'd be dumb to go anywhere but San Antonio. He'll be a restricted free agent in July, and the Spurs are hoping to lock him up with a max deal, then chase another free agent -- Portland Trail Blazers big man LaMarcus Aldridge, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski:
In a perfect scenario, the Spurs have a full understanding of the futures of [Tim] Duncan, [Manu] Ginobili and Danny Green when they walk into a 12:01 a.m. ET meeting on July 1 with Leonard and his agent, Brian Elfus, in Los Angeles. The Spurs will offer Leonard a full maximum contract extension, get a commitment and turn themselves toward prying Aldridge back to his Texas roots.

Adding Aldridge, who turns 30 in July, would obviously extend the Spurs' championship window. It would also mean he'd be going back on his word -- the four-time All-Star said last summer that he definitely intended to sign a five-year deal in 2015 and wanted to become the best Blazer of all-time.
The Oregonian's Jason Quick, however, called Aldridge fickle, moody and unpredictable when reporting that at least one Blazer thought there was a 50-50 chance he'd leave. While he's beloved in Portland and has a great running mate in Damian Lillard, San Antonio would offer him a chance to play in his home state, under Gregg Popovich, alongside Leonard, Tony Parker, great role players and possibly Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili, depending on if they want to make another run. There have been rumors about this for a long while, and he'd be crazy not to at least consider it.
The funny thing is imagining Leonard playing the role of recruiter. He's the quietest guy in the league, and it's incredibly difficult to picture him trying to convince any free agent to do anything. Fortunately for the Spurs, his play is doing the talking for them.

Love may end up getting a ring without being a real part of it, and still bailing on CLE in the offseason.
Not a bad way to pick up credibility/legacy, then go out to LA Lakers for a 1-year deal before signing there for 8 years under the big new money deal in summer 2016. Suck for a year out there with his ring, then hit the lottery with some young draft picks, build a legacy.

Do NBA referees get paid on a game-to-game basis in the playoffs? working the series? Or is there no increased pay to their base salary for being selected to work the playoffs, just an honor?
Hate to sound like a Theorist... they seem to have complete control of a series, and if they get paid game-to-game I'm sure that they'd love for every playoff series to go 7 games. Also, I'm sure the NBA would love that as well.

I was a huge Knicks fan back then, I forgot how many bs calls Jordan got. Kobe or Lebron would never be considered as great because they don't get the calls Jordan got. OKC going into GS in game 1 and beating them down shaked their confidence a bit. OKC just played shit ball. At one point a pass was made to Roberson at the 3. He was all alone with no one within 10 feet and instead of shooting he decides to pass and it gets stolen.
Also Donovan made a horrible decision at 7 minutes left to pull Adams and go small. GS had so many extra 2nd and 3rd attempts because OKC couldn't rebound anymore. Not sure why he went small especially with someone like Roberson on the court who refused to shoot when wide open.

Who gives a fuck about the era. people who claim Curry couldn't play in Jordan's day don't watch Curry play. he is an insane ball handler. he's making quicker and more athletic defenders look stupid. I can only imagine what he'd do to the big Oafs of the 1980's. He can dribble around, step back, have Durant or Adams with arms outstretched 3 feet over his head and still hit a perfect shot. He'd be good in any era. His ball handling alone would make 99% of the guys in Jordan's era look stupid.

You watch "some" of the game and conclude that? They smoked Cleveland with Curry and Klay playing awful.
I would say the edge goes to the Bulls only because Jordan is the best ever. Those others guys are def not any better then what the Warriors have.
They can claim the best season ever by winning the championship and not much can be argued as the numbers back them up as they were crushing teams all season until the end when pressure got to them a bit but still pulled it out.

While I don't hate LBJ, I find it hard to like him. This is one of the reasons why. A man so full of himself that he inks "Chosen 1" on himself. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did Jordan ever do such a thing? LBJ has been to more NBA Finals than Jordan, yet only has a third of his championships. Everyone wants LBJ to be the next Michael Jordan. But really, he is just his generation's Jerry West.

emmm you're not wrong but you're not exactly right. No one had ink in Jordan days. I'd be like saying Haney was more focused than Phil cause Haney didn't use a cellphone when he trained. I'm not a big Lebron fan but if he got the same or similar preferential treatment Jordan got he'd have a few more championship.
