Never really took a liking to Tom Hardy before, and I am very much against remakes of all kinds.
However, I have no complaints about this one whatsoever. I was surprisingly good and well put together in all aspects.
(And the female physiques were good. Didn't see a lot of male physiques in this one so getbiggers can put away the hand lotion for a viewing of Fury Road.)
"It's a lovely day!"

Hardy was good in "Bronson", good in "Warrior", good in "Peaky Blinders", shit as Bane in "Batman", and shit in "This means War".

bronson was pretty good performance
Started watching that strange strange movie, couldn't get past 30 minutes.. didn't see any plot develop at all. Perhaps I will revisit it some time since you speak good of it.

nathan jones still looks pretty big..

Sounds like you outed yourself for homo fantasies about Tom Hardy.

Odd, heard stellar reviews on the this from people who always deliver in this context.

This is good. Fast paced action. Made for cinema. Good acting, characters, style, music. Apparently, it is liked by critics too or so I've heard

Victoria Secret model from Transformers (after Megan) played one of the wifes:

Also Lenny Kravitz daughter. And Priscilla Presley granddaughter. (Priscilla was amazingly hot for a long time).

Good shit!

I heard/read it was a movie for Feminists, with Charlize Theron being more of the Protagonist with many more speaking lines than Mad Max.
It was like Mad Max was a bystander and played second fiddle to the very strong and empowered female warrior Furiosa.
What i heard anyway.
-
sounds good to me, i rather have more charlize than tom hardy

Then again, you'd want more Hardy than McGregor.
-
I can't believe everyone loves this crap remake.
-
nathan jones still looks pretty big..
not, he is much lighter now

Definitely not a movie for feminists (women) mainly because it's a grim bloody action flick. Ugly feminists would never go see a action movie Victoria Secret models walking around in their underwear.
But yes, there is sadly an element of feminization. I didn't react much to it, but one line bothered me come think of it when they shouted "We're more than objects!". That's was pretty nauseating and lame but I let it go.

Action movie Mad Max wins unlikely legion of feminist fans after 'men's rights activists' label it propaganda and spark backlash
Feminist bloggers and think pieces praise film for strong female roles such as Charlize Theron's Imperator Furiosa
Mad Max: Fury Road, directed by George Miller, criticized as 'propaganda' by writer upset that 'straight-up guy flick' ruined by 'Trojan Horse feminists'
Gender roles in the movie inspired parody of Ryan Gosling 'Hey Girl' meme

The people complaining don't know anything about storytelling.
Max is an outsider. He doesn't know this world he was captured into and doesn't care. He just wants to escape and be on his way. He CANT be the driving force of the story just like he wasn't the driving force of the Road Warrior (the people in the camp were).

So you are denying that dude was a side kick in his own movie?

Max was an outsider and wanted to escape and be on his way in Mad Max 2 and Mad Max 3 as well, and was still able to be the protagonist with several lines in the movie.
Big difference between Mel Gibsons Mad Max and Tom Hardys Mad Max in these movies.
A whole different portrayal.

Check your baggage and enjoy the flick. The vehicles were a lot of fun and there's pretty much non-stop action delivered for your popcorn chewing pleasure.
-
By the sound of it the movie should be called "Max: Furiosa's Male Aid Who is Mad"
-
Who cares if it's a female protagonist?
It's good.
-
What grat performance did he ever do? Bain ???
I thought The Drop was good to be honest.
-
Mad Max was a very good movie..
Non stop action..
A must watch...

Well that one's still pretty recent (2014). I haven't got around to that one yet.
