Winners of the 1st ev er World Series, 1903 Boston Americans. later changes their name to "Red Sox".

an interesting note on thompson the guy who hit the shot heard around the world... he was replaced in new york by a guy named willie mays and on the braves by a guy named hank aaron...pretty hard to beat those guys out
