Considering there are few people making any money in bodybuilding ( and certainly not in his era) he doesn't care anymore. Looks like an average older guy who lifts and enjoys life I'm sure

I notice that the majority of bodybuilders once they get old they let themselves go and some end up looking like they never set foot in the gym in their entire life, I am sorry but these guys are not real bodybuilders, A real bodybuilder never loses his passion for the gym or staying in shape, example of real bodybuilders these guys never got out of shape when they got older.

Spoken like someone with no life experience. Once you have children and a family to support your priorities change (or they should). Juicing and gyming become less important when you have real responsibilities. You'll understand one day... The guys who tend to gym hardcore into their 40s, 50s, and 60s, are often single with no children, and have nothing to think about other than themselves. That is the norm.

What I find interesting is that most bodybuilders were THIN before lifting weights and go back to that THIN physique once they get off the juice and stop lifting (ex: Paul Dillett). It's rare to see guys like Buchanan who was known for having a 27" waist to now be very heavy and probably sporting a 50" waist.

Brian got a HUGE ovation at the '88 British Grand Prix - 1) as a Brit but 2) because he looked incredible!!! If he could have built some legs he would have beaten Haney and been a multiple Mr Olympia

Win by the syringe and loss by the syringe. Been around this game a long time and Buchanan is not an anomaly. Seen so many guys that you can't even tell they did a push up in their life. Not preaching. Take all the steroids, insulin, growth hormone, LH hormone, clomid, anti estrogens and the rest you want. I really don't care. What goes up must come down. I'd rather train super hard without the assist and look somewhat athletically decent for life year round than be a yo yo.
