Megyn Kelly Is Said to Be Leaving Fox News for NBC
By JIM RUTENBERG
JAN. 3, 2017

Megyn Kelly, who arrived at Fox News 12 years ago as a television news neophyte but rose to become one of its two biggest stars, has decided to leave the network to take on a broad new role at NBC News for an undisclosed amount, people briefed on the negotiations said on Tuesday.

The NBC News chairman, Andrew Lack, wooed Ms. Kelly away from Fox News by offering her a triple role in which she will host her own daytime news and discussion program, anchor an in-depth Sunday night news show and take regular part in the network’s special political programming and other big-event coverage.

The move will herald a seismic shift in the cable news landscape, where Ms. Kelly had become the second-most watched host — after Bill O’Reilly of Fox News — and often helped define the national political debate, especially over the last year as Donald J. Trump regularly attacked her, at times in viciously personal terms.

Ms. Kelly’s departure would upend Fox News’s vaunted prime-time lineup and inject a new dose of tumult just a few months after the departure of the network’s powerful founding chairman, Roger Ailes, who was ousted after several women made allegations that he sexually harassed them.

The new deal, which NBC is expected to announce imminently, brings to a close the most anticipated television news contract negotiations since Katie Couric signed with CBS News in 2006, for $15 million a year.

Fox News’s parent company, 21st Century Fox, which is controlled by the family of Rupert Murdoch, had offered Ms. Kelly more than $20 million a year to stay after her current contract expires this year. Rival networks seeking to hire Ms. Kelly away, including NBC News, had made it clear that they could not match that money from Fox, the cable news leader for the last 15 years running.

Ms. Kelly’s contract is not officially up until the summer, and it was unclear whether Fox News would refuse to release her from any contractual commitments that might delay her start at a rival.

People briefed on the talks, who would only speak on the condition of anonymity pending an announcement, declined to disclose what Ms. Kelly’s new annual salary would be at NBC. But even a modest raise would place her among television’s highest paid journalists. The Wall Street Journal recently reported she was to collect $15 million for the final year of her contract.

It was unclear at what time the daytime program would run, or how NBC News would ensure that all of its affiliates would carry it, given that daytime television is often filled with syndicated programs. But people familiar with the discussions said NBC was confident that it would not be a problem. The daytime program would be a mix of news, interviews and panel-like discussions covering a range of issues, not only government and politics.

The Sunday night program, which is yet to be named, would provide Ms. Kelly with a continued hand in hard news. And she would be in the mix on NBC News during major political coverage.

A spokeswoman for Ms. Kelly, Leslee Dart, did not immediately return a call seeking comment on the deal.

Ms. Kelly had hinted in interviews and in her recently released memoir, “Settle for More,” that the highest bid would not decide her future; she said she was seeking a role that would give her more time with her three young children while allowing her to extend her range beyond the constant political combat of cable news.

In recent months, some of that combat was taking place inside the Fox News headquarters, after Ms. Kelly’s allegation that Mr. Ailes — a mentor and early champion of her career — had sexually harassed her. (Mr. Ailes has denied her charges and the others.)

Her allegation was one of several that came to light after another Fox News anchor, Gretchen Carlson, filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Mr. Ailes in July. In a subsequent investigation commissioned by 21st Century Fox, 20 or more women, including Ms. Kelly, reported inappropriate behavior by Mr. Ailes. But because of her stature at the network and her once close relationship with Mr. Ailes, Ms. Kelly’s account proved instrumental in his ouster.

In her book, Ms. Kelly described her decision to step forward as a painful one that came in the face of a networkwide campaign to support Mr. Ailes, which she viewed as potentially intimidating to other accusers. Her decision to share her story with investigators drew apparent enmity from some rival stars, with the resentment lingering as she deliberated her next career move.

Most prominent among them was Mr. O’Reilly, who said in an interview on CBS News about allegations against Mr. Ailes that Ms. Kelly shared in her book, “I’m not interested in making my network look bad.”

Later that day, he continued the thought in a commentary on his own show in which he appeared to question Ms. Kelly’s loyalty to Fox by saying, without naming her: “If somebody is paying you a wage, you owe that person or company allegiance. If you don’t like what’s happening in the workplace, go to human resources or leave.”

(The new leadership of Fox News, Bill Shine and Jack Abernethy, recently revamped the human resources department; current and former Fox News staff members had said that they did not take complaints to the department under Mr. Ailes for fear of retaliation.)

Mr. O’Reilly’s contract is also up later this year. The television news and political worlds were closely watching for Ms. Kelly’s decision as an indication of the network’s future in its post-Ailes era. The speculation — and it was just that — went that one or the other would depart and that a decision by Ms. Kelly to renew would indicate a shift to a more nuanced ideological sensibility.

Over the years, Ms. Kelly, who views herself as more of a news analyst than opinion host, had developed a broader style in the more ideological confines of the Fox News prime-time slate, frequently upsetting expectations for a nighttime Fox personality — for instance, publicly taking on the Republican nominee for president with whom Mr. Ailes was friendly (upon leaving Fox, Mr. Ailes would go on to serve as an informal adviser to Mr. Trump).

Mr. Murdoch’s sons, James and Lachlan, who help run 21st Century Fox, while making clear they want a modern workplace environment at Fox News, have also said the network would not shift away from what Lachlan Murdoch called its “unique and important voice.” That voice continues to propel Fox News to the top of the cable news ratings in the nascent Trump era.

Nonetheless, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal in the fall, Mr. Murdoch said money would be no object in keeping Ms. Kelly.

People familiar with Ms. Kelly’s deliberations said she was entertaining several attractive possibilities, including at CNN and ABC News and in syndicated television.

Ms. Kelly was holding the discussions during a bruising year of campaign coverage in which she often became the story because of Mr. Trump’s attacks.

One person briefed on Ms. Kelly’s deliberations said that Mr. Lack, the NBC News chairman, won over Ms. Kelly by starting the talks with a question about what she was seeking, instead of flatly offering possibilities. He then came back with a deal that was tailored to her preferences. A daytime show would give her a schedule that would allow her to see her children off to school and to have dinner with them and her husband, Douglas Brunt, a novelist.

You're one of the few who changed the channel.  She has the highest rated show on their network.  I liked her and her show.  Not sure who they are going to get to fill the void.  Big loss for them.

MEGYN KELLY Gets Pummeled in Ratings as Trump Supporters Boycott Show

Hannity is the only FOX cable news show that is ranked number one in both overall ratings and in the coveted age 25-54 age rating demographic.

This was reported by Drudge Report which linked to the ratings for cable news as of Thursday, October 13th.

In the overall ratings category, all FOX News shows between 4pm and 11pm Eastern lead when compared to their competitors except the Kelly Hour. Megyn Kelly’s show is getting beat by Rachel Maddow at CNBC.
This never would have happened two years ago.

NEW YORK CITY, New York — Megyn Kelly of the Fox News Channel has emerged as that network’s weak link as Fox has fallen behind CNN in the ratings for a full month for the first time since 2001.

she has had quite a few guest host filling in for her in November and December so the ratings have probably gone up.

I haven't had to change the channel as much in the last month or so, as she has been away, I think promoting her book, so my guess is others who quit watching her have done the same, just a guess though.

I'm not buying or reading her book, but will sad to see her leave.  Hands down the best show on the network, with the numbers to prove it.  That's why she's probably going to get about $20 mil per year from NBC, which I believe is what Fox offered her.

That's two good hosts lost in Van Susteren and Kelly in a matter of months.

To each their own, truth is I could not stand her as of late.

IMO They should give Sean Hannity his old time slot back (after O'Reilly ) and move Tucker Carlson to after Sean and they will not miss her one bit.

‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ Gives Fox News Historic Ratings Boost

Fox News just made history.

FNC notably saw a substantial bump at the 7:00 pm, EST time slot, now occupied by former “Fox & Friends” host and Daily Caller founder, Tucker Carlson.

“Tucker Carlson Tonight” premiered on November 14th and has seen double-digit increases in both total viewers and the coveted A25-54 demographic.

Carlson ended the month averaging 2,930,000 viewers, a 40 percent bump from November 2015, when the time slot was occupied by “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.”

Why Megyn Kelly is leaving Fox News for NBC
By Howard Kurtz  Published January 03, 2017  FoxNews.com

Megyn Kelly has decided to join NBC News, and Fox News says her last day on the air will be Friday.

The network announced today that Kelly will be giving up her prime-time role at Fox for a multi-year deal that includes several roles at NBC. She will launch a daytime program as well as a Sunday evening news magazine show, and be part of the network’s coverage of major political and breaking-news events.

Rupert Murdoch, executive chairman of 21st Century Fox, said in a statement: “We thank Megyn Kelly for her 12 years of contributions to FOX News. We hope she enjoys tremendous success in her career and wish her and her family all the best.”

In a Facebook posting, Kelly said: “While I will greatly miss my colleagues at Fox, I am delighted to be joining the NBC News family and taking on a new challenge. I remain deeply grateful to Fox News, to Rupert, Lachlan and James Murdoch, and especially to all of the FNC viewers, who have taught me so much about what really matters.”

Fox News fought hard to keep Kelly, who became a breakout star and whose 9 p.m. show was the second-highest rated in cable news, behind “The O’Reilly Factor.” Donald Trump’s attacks on Kelly during the campaign helped turn her into an international celebrity and she was featured on the cover of the New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair and other publications. She also just published a best-selling memoir, “Settle for More.”

Kelly’s contract at Fox was not due to expire for another six months.

Kelly stood to make an eight-figure salary wherever she went. As she talked about her decision, it became clear that a top priority was a schedule that would allow her to spend more time with her three young children, who went to bed before she returned home from her nighttime program.

Fox News now faces the challenge of replacing Kelly in prime time, as well as at such major events as debates and political conventions, where she has generally appeared alongside Bret Baier and Chris Wallace.

Kelly was an increasingly unhappy lawyer in 2004 when she parlayed a part-time gig at a Washington station into a reporting job at Fox. She quickly rose through the ranks, co-anchoring “America’s Newsroom” with Bill Hemmer and then hosting a 1 p.m. show before the move to prime time.

In agreeing to join NBC, Kelly said, “I have decided to end my time at FNC, incredibly enriched for the experiences I've had.”

NBC Universal Chairman Andrew Lack said in a statement, “Megyn is an exceptional journalist and news anchor, who has had an extraordinary career” Lack said. “She’s demonstrated tremendous skill and poise, and we’re lucky to have her.”

The move gives Kelly access to the potentially larger audience of a major broadcast network. But launching a daytime program can be difficult, even for famous journalists.

Katie Couric, the former “Today” co-host and CBS anchor, lasted two years in an ABC-backed daytime show whose first executive producer was Jeff Zucker, now CNN’s president. CNN anchor Anderson Cooper also lasted two seasons in daytime. The largely female audience tends to favor entertainment and lighter fare over serious news topics. NBC did not announce a time for Kelly’s new show.

Trump’s attacks on Kelly after the first presidential debate, when she asked him about his demeaning comments toward some women, brought her a torrent of online abuse and, she disclosed in her book, her family was forced to use security guards. The two buried the hatchet in an interview that aired on the Fox broadcast network.

Report: Megyn Kelly Turned Down $100 Million Deal to Stay at Fox
By Bill Hoffmann   |    Wednesday, 04 Jan 2017

Fox News dangled a whopping $100 million contract in front of their star anchor Megyn Kelly in a failed bid to keep her, according to a report on Mediaite.

Kelly announced Tuesday she is leaving Fox for a lucrative new deal with NBC, where she'll debut a daily daytime talk show, host a Sunday evening political program, and appear on the Peacock Network's breaking news.

But Kelly's exit came following a strenuous effort by Fox to convince her to remain — including the reported $100 million package.

A source close to Kelly told Mediaite the offer of $25 million per year for four years was made directly by Lachlan Murdoch, executive co-chairman of News Corp and 21st Century Fox.

"We are told, unequivocally, that Kelly never even countered Fox's generous $100 million offer, because she had made up her mind to move on. In fact, the Fox offer is far higher financially than the one she ultimately accepted from NBC," Mediaite's Rachel Stockman writes.

Megyn Kelly off to rough start with NBC show’s premiere

Megyn Kelly launched her new magazine at NBC Sunday, and the stakes couldn’t have been much higher for either. Kelly, now among the highest paid personalities on network news (nearly $20 million per year), left Fox News for the network earlier this year, and will most likely secure another role on the morning schedule later this year, in addition to this one.

Her lead-off piece was about the second most famous leader on the planet, Vladmir Putin. For her, the results were mixed. For Putin, the result was a slam dunk.

In a wide-ranging interview that led Kelly’s inaugural broadcast, Putin spoke at length and unchallenged — and even appeared to have mastered a skill that American pundits spend years developing, the “pull-out quote,” AKA the memorable soundbite:

“You people are so creative over there,” he quipped. “Good job. Your lives must be boring.”

Then, this one: “Have you all lost your senses over there?”

Good job, indeed. Maybe Putin missed his calling — as a U.S. cable news primetime host.

The best part of Kelly’s inaugural “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” began in the opening moments, with Kelly moderating a panel at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Cue to a tight shot of Kelly, who explained that the “normally wonkish” discussion became “heated” when she asked Putin about cyber interference in the U.S. election: “I saw what was happening,” he said, via the translator. “It was a big surprise for me too. What they are saying is just nuts. I never know where people spreading disinformation is coming from.”

The one-on-one followed. Kelly asked the right questions — Russian cyber interference, former U.S. National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, and so on — and he overwhelmed her with word clouds. “What fingerprints or hoof-prints or horn-prints? What are you talking about? IP addresses? They can be invented, you know? There are a lot of specialists who can even make it so it comes from your home IP address as if your 3-year-old daughter carried out the attack.”

Kelly stared at him, and no followup came, despite an obvious one: What the heck is a “horn-print?”

“I will tell you something you already know,” he prefaced one answer.

His interpreter — who sounded indignant — located an occasional colloquialism, like “Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.”

Putin, or his translator, was dismissive of every question: “[American] presidents come and go . . . we know more or less what’s going to happen.”

Kelly soldiered on: “Do you have something damaging on our president?”

Putin volleyed: “Load of nonsense . . . ”

Not once did Kelly interject, not once did she tell him that what he was saying was a load of nonsense.

Bottom line: Rough launch for Megyn Kelly, but score one for Vladimir Putin, and his horn-print.

That interview with Putin was hilarious. Apparently NBC was so excited they posted a tweet a few hours before about Putin having damaging info on our president, then had to retract it when the actual interview was aired. Classic tactic.

NBC's Megyn Kelly 3rd in total viewers, 2nd in demo in Sunday debut

NBC's Megyn Kelly got off to the modest start in the ratings race with her Sunday night news magazine debut, finishing third in total viewers behind ABC's NBA Finals pregame special and a rerun of "60 Minutes" on CBS.

Variety: New Ratings Low For Megyn Kelly's NBC Sunday Show
By Solange Reyner   |   Monday, 17 Jul 2017

Megyn Kelly's show on NBC fell to its lowest in viewer ratings and total viewers on Sunday, Variety reports.

"Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly," which airs at 7 p.m., drew a 0.4 rating among adults aged 18 to 49 and pulled in only 3.1 million viewers, its worst overall viewership in the show's short time on the air. The show drew 6.1 million viewers in its debut on June 4 when Kelly interviewed Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Kelly was hired by NBC this year for a reported $17.5 million annual salary after a highly-rated run at Fox News Channel. She is debuting a new morning show in September before a live studio audience but so far, her start at the network hasn't made quite the splash NBC had anticipated.

"By all measures, her 'Sunday Night' effort has been a disaster," Variety TV critic Sonia Saraiya wrote in late June. "Her interviews have been either ridiculed or loathed by the rest of the press, and the ratings reflect a distinct lack of interest."

Kelly has had some high-profile controversies over the last month, including backlash after Infowars host Alex Jones released recordings of a pre-interview between Kelly and him where Kelly told Jones the segment wouldn't be a "gotcha hit piece."

Megyn Avoids Another Viewership Low, Fails to Beat Years-Old Dateline Rerun

31 Jul 2017

Megyn Kelly failed to hit yet another embarrasing new viewership low in what could have been her last Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly show on NBC.

But the final episode of her program’s “initial” run, which was pulled at least two episodes earlier than planned, still failed to beat out the years-old Dateline rerun that ran in Kelly’s time slot during the Fourth of July holiday weekend when many Americans were not even in front of their television screens.

Kelly got 3.5 million total viewers on Sunday, slightly up from the 3.1 million total viewers she got the last time her show was in the 7 p.m. time slot two weeks ago. But the years-old Dateline rerun that ran during the Fourth of July weekend got 3.73 million total viewers. Kelly’s show has failed to beat that years-old rerun since she returned, proving that absence does not make the heart grow fonder when it comes to Kelly.

Again, her show failed to beat reruns of America’s Funniest Home Videos and 60 Minutes.

Kelly starts her one-hour morning show in September, and NBC employees are reportedly livid that the network decided to name the program Megyn Kelly Today, essentially hitching Today’s star to Kelly’s wagon, even though the vapid former Fox News talent has shown that she may be in over her head at NBC without any natural base of support except for disgruntled “Never Trumpers.”

As Breitbart News noted, “network executives, who reportedly have been freaking out about Kelly’s poor ratings, are probably praying that Kelly simply does no more harm than she has already done in her short time at the network.”

Breitbart News has also documented Kelly’s disastrous debut at the network:

Kelly has alienated everyone except the small band of “Never Trumpers” on Twitter and anti-Trump pundits who, so desperate for affirmation and attention to make up for their numerous insecurities, gleefully allow themselves to be used as the legacy media’s useful idiots. The only silver lining for Today may be that Kelly’s tremendously bad ratings may have given Matt Lauer plenty of job security.

Kelly’s ratings were so terrible that NBC executives were reportedly even considering unloading her contract and trying to get Fox News to take her back. But a high-ranking Fox News official told Breitbart News that Kelly “would not be welcomed back” at the network.

As Breitbart News has previously noted, “NBC looks like the Houston Texans when they foolishly tried to build their franchise around former Denver Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler at the start of last year. When Kelly went to NBC, a television executive told CNN that if Kelly fails, she could end up ‘fading into obscurity’ just like Osweiler went from ‘the penthouse to the outhouse.’”

The viewership is low because Megyn Kelly is seen as a conservative darling and she's running a show on a liberal channel.  Also not much advertising is being done for Megyn and other than Alex Jones, she's doing a lot of softball pieces

Megyn Kelly Morning Show in 'Total Panic,' NBC Insiders Say
By Zoe Papadakis   |   Wednesday, 30 Aug 2017

Megyn Kelly's new morning show is resulting in "total panic" among network officials, NBC insiders have said, according to The Daily Beast.

The Daily Beast reported that Kelly's NBC colleagues were worried that the former Fox network anchor would retain her current poor ratings when she debuts "Megyn Kelly Today" on Sept. 25.

The concerns come amid decisions made by the network's news division to scrap the already established "Today's Take" and replace it with Kelly's new 9 a.m. show.

The anchor's first NBC series, "Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly" tanked in terms of viewership, with Breitbart reporting that the show drew a low of 3.21 million viewers on July 9.

Kelly sparked controversy with an interview with Infowars host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who released recordings of a pre-interview between the two.

Since then many critics have questioned NBC's move to bring Kelly to daytime viewers.

"A lot of people were watching the magazine show to try to get a sense of her appeal to the daytime demographic and a sense of how she would be outside of the Fox environment," a veteran daytime television impresario told The Daily Beast. "Fox News skews very male… I always tend to think of her as more of a guy's girl than a girl's girl… It's extremely challenging, and I'm not sure Megyn's personality really connects with women."

Meanwhile, television news analyst Andrew Tyndall told The Daily Beast that "the Sunday show laid such an egg that any claims that she had automatic star power, to get people in the door to see what she was doing, have been disavowed."

Jezebel noted that NBC executives were concerned about the scrutiny that may greet Kelly's upcoming morning show and were questioning if the $17 million pay check offered to the broadcaster was worth it.

Megyn Kelly Makes Today Debut: ‘I am Kind of Done With Politics for Now’
by Joe DePaolo | September 25th, 2017

She’s moderated presidential primary debates. Grilled Senators and Representatives. Reported on the hot button issues of the day.

But all of that is apparently in the past for Megyn Kelly. During her Today Show debut, the former Fox News anchor made it clear she’s pivoting to human interest.

In her Megyn Kelly Today open Monday, the host sarcastically announced that she’d be dissecting the latest Tweet from President Donald Trump.

“Oh no! We would not do that,” Kelly said. “We will not be doing that. The truth is, I am kind of done with politics for now.”

The proclamation was met with cheers from her studio audience.

“I know!” Kelly said. “You know why, right? We all feel it. It’s everywhere. It’s everywhere. And it’s gotten so dark. I’m just, like, over it.”

The question remains whether someone who has been so closely identified with politics can successfully transition out of that arena. But Kelly says she’s going to try.

“Some fun!” Kelly said. “That’s what we want to be doing.”

Daily Mail: NBC Executives Bash '$100M Mistake' on Megyn Kelly
By Jason Devaney   |   Thursday, 05 Oct 2017

Megyn Kelly's hefty salary at NBC is drawing the ire of some at the network, according to a new report.

The Daily Mail quoted NBC executives who are not involved in Kelly's morning show or her hiring earlier this year as saying Kelly is in line to earn $69 million over three years. Kelly's paychecks, they said, should not be in line with other network anchors and hosts who have worked there for years.

"This is insane! How on earth can they justify paying her $69 million for three years?" one executive told The Daily Mail, referencing Kelly's apparent three-year contract. "It's obscene and a giant slap in the face to all of NBC's established stars."

Kelly departed Fox News earlier this year and debuted on NBC over the summer with her Sunday night news magazine show. Her weekday morning show began last week but has drawn mixed reviews.

The NBC source told The Daily Mail Kelly's time at the network could end up being a very expensive mistake.

"The network that created Barbara Walters, Tom Brokaw, and Matt Lauer will now forever be remembered for the $69 million hire of Megyn Kelly," the source said. "When you add the cost of developing the show, hiring staff, and promoting Megyn all the time, this adds up to a $100 million mistake."

Said another NBC executive: "Megyn's salary should be nowhere near Matt's. He's been at NBC for 23 years now and has captained the ship through good times and bad times. He's worked very hard to deserve that salary."

10 Lowest-Rated Summer TV Shows: Megyn Kelly Bottoms Out
By Clyde Hughes   |   Friday, 13 Oct 2017

The 10 summer television shows rated lowest by Nielsen left Megyn Kelly just five spots from TV’s very bottom, a far cry from her prime time status with a nightly talk show on Fox News, The Wrap reported.

Fox News had reportedly offered Kelly $100 million over four years to stay with the network last fall as she was jumping to NBC, The Hill reported in January, and she reportedly took less money to do a summer Sunday evening show before debuting her current morning show as a “Today” segment.

"Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly" didn’t pan out for Kelly rating-wise, pulling a 0.5 in the key 18-49 age demographic, The Wrap said.

Here’s list of the 10 lowest-rated television shows, according to Nielsen, per The Wrap.

1."Doubt," CBS: The Katherine Heigl legal drama languished with a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic for the former "Grey's Anatomy" star.

2. (tie) "Still Star-Crossed," ABC: The period-piece drama that attempted to pick up after "Romeo and Juliet," could only muster a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demo.

2. (tie) "Somewhere Between," ABC: The Paula Patton-driven drama, which had a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demo, centered around a woman who believed she knew when and where her young daughter would be murdered.

2. (tie) "In an Instant," ABC: The network's third consecutive entry, which also scored a 0.4 rating, was a docudrama series driven by interviews and re-creations to tell stories of survival.

5. "Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly," NBC: Kelly's show proved to be NBC's lowest rated program this summer. She has now moved on to "Megyn Kelly Today." The New York Post reported the ratings this week compared to last year for the “Today” segment Kelly occupies were down 32 percent.

6. (tie) "American Grit," Fox: The military-themed reality competition series hosted by former professional wrestling star John Cena never caught on with audiences, with a 0.6 rating.

6. (tie) "Boy Band," ABC: Another reality show that did not catch on, this one featuring a band competition that pulled a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demo.

8. (tie) "Gong Show," ABC: Not even a disguised Mike Myers as host could draw viewers to the show, which was a 1970s hit for Chuck Barris, pulling a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demo.

8. (tie) "Salvation," CBS: Humans trying stop a killer asteroid from hitting Earth did not seem to interest viewers, either, also drawing an 0.7 rating.

8. (tie) "Candy Crush," CBS: The wildly popular smartphone app made for bad television ratings, as the Mario Lopez-hosted show only mustered a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demo.

Not enough money-power in this world to associate with NBC.

I would have some serious concerns about NBC going forward.

The report about Trump wanting 10 TIMES MORE NUKES just sounds incredibly ridiculous and he is going on complete offense against them lately.

The Megyn Kelly disaster.

Morning Joe looks more and more like a therapy session every day rather a credible political show PLUS

They constantly bring on reporters from The New York Times and we see what is unfolding with them verus Veritas James O'Keefe.

All of these platforms that we turned to for decades are losing massive amounts of credibility at an alarmingly fast speed.

All true, except they likely have a large number of viewers who don't care they are lied to.

Well that didn't last long.  She made bank but gave up what would have been a long, lucrative deal with Fox News.

On the bright side, her departure led to Tucker Carlson, who has done a phenomenal job.

She prostituted herself out to the right and now the left, and the Left's pimp hand is stronger and its leash shorter than Fox's, as usual.

Bet they were really happy to end that contract. She parlayed fighting with The Donald as a debate moderator into a big payday but wasn't going to last.

Strike that... Holy shit it was a guaranteed contract.

NBC pays her 69 million. Flat out.  ;D

I wish Andy Lack had been at that synagogue instead of those old people. If anyone deserved it, it was him.
