Traverse City isn't that big.
The native American population for the area is a small fraction of total inhabitants.
This "protest" was probably less than 30 people and I'm sure it was for publicity.
It's interesting if you study the history between European settlers and the native Americans. Long story short they lost the war, CENTURIES AGO, but some still try to contest history. Strange mindset.
