Blacks and women are always going on about equality. Let's treat this black woman the same way that a white male would be treated if he had made this statement.
-
For the sake of equality, has she been fired from her job yet?
If that was a white person saying that about obama, they would have been fired or forcefully made to resign within minutes.

Secret Service Looking Into Dem State Senator Who Wished Trump Assassination, Still Won't Apologize

The Secret Service is now looking into threats that a Democratic state senator from Missouri posted on Facebook. State Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal was responding to a comment, saying she hopes President Trump gets assassinated.
She has since deleted her Facebook comment.
(TWEETS-AT-LINK)
Chappelle-Nadal told the Kansas City Star she made the comments “out of frustration with the 'trauma and despair'” caused by Trump's remarks after the violent clashes in Charlottesville.
“The way I responded this morning was wrong,” she added. “I’m frustrated. Did I mean the statement? No. Am I frustrated? Absolutely. The president is causing damage. He’s causing hate."
Both Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) and the chairman of the Missouri Democratic Party have demanded that Chappelle-Nadal resign.
In another interview, Chappelle-Nadal said she will not apologize for her statements:
(TWEET-AT-LINK)
“It was inappropriate, I've said that three times now,” she said. “No, when the president apologizes for what he says, I'll apologize.” After she highlighted that it was posted on her personal social media, she reiterated how she will not apologize.
Chappelle-Nadal was referring to Trump's assertion that there good people on “both sides” and how there was blame on both sides. During an abrasive press conference, he also attacked what he called the “alt-left.”
“What about the alt-left that came charging at, as you say, at the alt-right?” Trump asked. "Do they have any assemblage of guilt? What about the fact that they came charging with clubs in their hands swinging clubs? Do they have any problem? I think they do. That was a horrible, horrible day.”

Missouri governor calls for expulsion of Dem senator who urged Trump assassination
Published August 18, 2017
Fox News
Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens joined calls Friday for state Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal to be expelled from the legislature after saying she hopes President Trump is assassinated.
The Republican governor put out a string of tweets noting that lawmakers have called on the Democratic lawmaker to resign and urged the Senate to kick her out if she refuses.
“Senator Chappelle-Nadal said she hopes the President is killed. Republicans and Democrats have called on her to resign,” he wrote. “… Last night, in an interview, she refused to apologize—twice. If she will not resign, the Senate can vote to remove her. I believe they should.”

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that Lt. Gov. Mike Parson backed the call, saying if she does not resign before an upcoming September session, he will seek her expulsion in his capacity as state Senate president.
The Senate could do so with a two-thirds vote.
Chappelle-Nadal made the original comment, since deleted, on Facebook.
“I hope Trump is assassinated!” she wrote.
Chappelle-Nadal eventually removed the post, but a screenshot was saved and shared on Twitter. In interviews with local outlets, Chapelle-Nadal said she regretted her post but not her anger at the president. She blamed her outburst on the president's response to the white supremacist violence in Charlottesville.

The Secret Service told The St. Louis Post-Dispatch it is investigating Chapelle-Nadal’s post.
“I condemn it," McCaskill told the Post-Dispatch. "It's outrageous. And she should resign.”
Missouri Party Chair Stephen Webber called Chappelle-Nadal’s comments "indefensible.”

“There is no way in hell that I’m resigning,” she said.

Missouri senator who urged Trump assassination booted from committees
Published August 22, 2017
Fox News
Sorry might not cut it for the Missouri lawmaker who called for President Trump’s assassination.
Missouri Senate leaders announced Tuesday that Democratic state Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal has been stripped of her committee assignments, just two days after she tried to calm the controversy with a public apology.
Meanwhile, the state’s Republican lieutenant governor, Mike Parson, on Tuesday called for the Senate to go into special session to expel Chappelle-Nadal from the body.
“I do not make this request of you lightly, but you and I know it is the right course of action to take for the people of Missouri,” Parson wrote in a letter to members of the Missouri Senate.
Republican Senate President Pro Tem Ron Richard and Minority Leader Gina Walsh on Tuesday both rescinded the lawmaker’s nine committee assignments, with Richard saying in a brief statement: "I support the decision of Senate Minority Leader Gina Walsh to remove Sen. Chappelle-Nadal from all of her Senate committees. I am also removing her from all appointments under my authority."
The move reflects the erosion of support Chappelle-Nadal has seen ever since she posted on Facebook last week: "I hope Trump is assassinated!"
Chappelle-Nadal later deleted the statement. She then apologized at a press conference streamed live Sunday on the Facebook page of the Clayton Times, a St. Louis County newspaper.
“President Trump, I apologize to you and your family,” Chappelle-Nadal said at the Wellspring Church in Ferguson, Mo. “I also apologize to all the people in Missouri. And I also apologize to my colleagues in the Missouri legislature for the mistake that I made.”
She added, “I made a mistake. And I’m owning up to it.”
But Missouri's Republican governor and lieutenant governor already had said senators should oust her from office if she doesn't resign.
Expulsion from office would require a two-thirds vote.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Allies use Trump assassination wish scandal to fundraise for Missouri Dem
By Alex Pappas
Published August 23, 2017
Fox News
Allies of the state senator in Missouri fighting to keep her seat after saying she hopes President Trump is assassinated set up a website and encouraged people to donate money to the embattled Democrat.
But after Fox News asked questions about the request for donations, the fundraising link disappeared from the site.
State Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal told Fox News in a statement on Wednesday she appreciates the “gesture and show of support” from the supporter who set up the site.
The “I stand with Maria” website included a link to Chappelle-Nadal’s fundraising page at ActBlue, an online platform used by Democrats to raise money online.
"An enthusiastic supporter started a website - www.istandwithmaria.com - to collect signatures in support of me staying in the Missouri Senate,” Chappelle-Nadal said. “They added a link to my Senate ActBlue, which is public. The page is a nice gesture and show of support."
In a subsequent statement, Chappelle-Nadal said she asked that the fundraising link be removed.
"I have requested of my supporter to take the ActBlue tab off their website," she said.
By Wednesday evening, the fundraising button had been removed.
The website includes a petition of supporters who don’t think she should resign. The site attempts to rationalize her comments.
“We know that there is a huge difference between saying that someone hopes Donald Trump is assassinated and someone calling for his assassination,” the site says.
Trouble started for Chappelle-Nadal after posting on Facebook last week: “I hope Trump is assassinated!”
Chappelle-Nadal eventually deleted the post, but a screenshot was saved and shared on Twitter.
MISSOURI SENATOR WHO URGED TRUMP ASSASSINATION BOOTED FROM COMMITTEES
In interviews, Chapelle-Nadal has said she regrets her words but not her anger at the president. She blamed her outburst on the president's response to the white supremacist violence in Charlottesville.
On Sunday, she offered an apology.
“President Trump, I apologize to you and your family,” Chappelle-Nadal said. “I also apologize to all the people in Missouri. And I also apologize to my colleagues in the Missouri legislature for the mistake that I made.”
Top Missouri Democrats – including Sen. Claire McCaskill and the chairman of the Missouri Democratic Party – have called on Chapelle-Nadal to resign.
Meanwhile, Chapelle-Nadal has been stripped of committee assignments and Missouri's Republican governor and lieutenant governor have said they will move to expel her from office if she doesn’t resign.
But Chappelle-Nadal has said she won’t quit.
“There is no way in hell that I’m resigning,” she told KMOX Radio last week.

Missouri lawmaker who said she hopes Trump gets assassinated is censured
Published September 13, 2017

The Missouri Senate voted to officially censure one of their lawmakers on Wednesday for a comment she made in August on Facebook hoping for President Trump’s assassination.
After the violent protests in Charlottesville, Va. last month, lawmaker Maria Chappelle-Nadal posted on her personal Facebook page, “I hope Trump is assassinated!”

She later deleted the post, but not before a screenshot was posted to Twitter, causing both Republicans and Democrats in Missouri to call for her resignation.
Instead of ousting her, like some Republicans wanted, the Missouri Senate instead voted to publicly censure her. In Wednesday's resolution, they again called for her to resign and warned that she could still be kicked out later.
She soon apologized for the comment, saying it was made in frustration over Trump’s response to white supremacist violence in Charlottesville, but refused to resign.
Chappelle-Nadal told KMOV in August, “I posted something on my personal Facebook and I should not have done that, and for that I am sorry for that. But I am not going to shy away from what caused that anger at all, I’m not going to shy away from that.”
Chappelle-Nadal had previously been removed from her committee assignments.
MISSOURI SENATOR WHO URGED TRUMP ASSASINATION BOOTED FROM COMMITTEES
The Missouri House took a different course of action on Wednesday against one of their Republican members. Instead of censure, they referred a complaint against Rep. Warren Love to an ethics panel.
In August, Love shared an article on Facebook about a vandalized Confederate statue with the added comment, “This is totally against the law. I hope they are found & hung from a tall tree with a long rope. National Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, MO.”

This post was also taken down but still led his colleagues to call for his resignation.
“It was a harsh statement, I shouldn’t have said that,” Love said in August.
He claimed he was using old cowboy jargon but Democrats argued that his words evoked images of lynchings of black residents.
Love remains on committees, though House Speaker Todd Richardson said Wednesday that he still could be removed pending the outcome of a bipartisan House Ethics Committee review.
