If he's on parole, he has to stay in Nevada. Unless he gets what's called an "interstate compact" to move to a different state, and be accept into their parole program. To get that, he needs to prove he has a place to go first, then before he arrives I believe the parole office will send an officer to that location and "scope it out" and interview the people he's moving in with, sorta... unless its an International "interstate" compact, then I don't know how they would verify where he's going. All I know is international interstate compacts are needed for Hawaii and Alaska and cost $1,500 deposit versus the $200 (or $500? I forget what mine was) deposit that is to be used on transport if the person violates parole in another state. They get transported back to the state they paroled from. In which in OJ's case it would be Nevada. I'm guessing that if he goes to Greece he would just skip parole and abscond and hope to not get caught over there and have to come back. Because I had to get an interstate compact to come back to California on parole. And I know guys who paroled to Hawaii and had to get an international interstate compact that cost $1,500 deposit to use for transport if they violated parole in Hawaii or Alaska and needed plane fare to be transported back to prison in a different state.

In a perfect world he would be serving the rest of his life in Jail, However, he was in jail for an entirely different thing and honestly if those murders never happened he would not have been sentenced the way Nevada did things.
Like it or not, he was aquitted of those murders and the other case had nothing to do with it, and he has served his time.
The legal system is what it is. His lawyers got him off the first time, and think about it this way aside from his cases and this is a scary though...if he basically bought his way to freedom by having that legal team how many are in jail who could not afford that kind of legal defence who are in there just because it was easy to put it on them or they just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time?
Not making that point out of the usual black vs white bullshit but as a real statement about our judicial/legal/law enforcement system.
It does work in most cases but there is also alot of fuck ups with people who were conveniently fingered for stuff based on prior petty shit etc.
and one more thing people might not realize. Most people who are serving any kind of time are not even serving it for their orginal charges, but they pled down because they could not afford bail etc and ended up sitting in a cell for a year or more. This is mostly petty shit and assaults I speak of. Plus dont even get me started on the stupid 3 strikes bullshit in some jurisdictions.

In all fairness that court stuff you recounted is the kind of stuff always said in court. Basically your lawyer sets you up and rehearses you to say things like that which is their job(getting you the best deal, plus the person making some sort of plea of restitution, moneywise or in the community, ie that you will change for the better)
