Finally. An appropriate and “Presidential” appearance! The speech at UMC was a little stilted in its delivery, but I can live with that. His interactions with victims, staff and first responders finally showed another side of Trump; the side that we had been told about but never seen: big hearted and able to sit down with anyone and have a human conversation.
I don’t think this means that the Trump Presidency is back on track or that a switch has been flipped in Trump’s head and from now we get President Trump instead of the caricature.
I do hope we see more of this Trump.

They probably loaded him up on Thorazine and told him to stay the fuck on the script
They needed some kind of win after the disastrous trip to Puerto Rico

Agree, when he is reading what relatively normal people write for him, he is stiff, but not offensive. It's the ad libs, the "by the ways" and not having a script to tell him how to be human, he gets in trouble

Sure. The point is that he stuck to the script and was appropriate for the occasion. He hasn’t always done that.
