Why are posts / threads being deleted ??
It appears to be happening more frequently
Anyone else notice & have posts / threads removed without notice
Is Getbig becoming PC... ::)

All my posts are awesome so....no. I have not noticed an excessive amount of censorship. ;D
One thread I was posting in got combined with another but that's about it.

they're usually merged for no reason, really lame
i was even banned once! for no fucking reason!!

You know, I say a lot of crazy shit on Getbig and up to this point I haven't noticed any oppressive censorship. We get away with a lot here.
I hope it stays that way. It's all for the lolz.

If not, I will have one of my gimmicks start another "what do women want" thread and that will keep them occupied.

At this point, taboo subjects are the only reason to come here. Pro bodybuilding is essentially dead. Sets and reps have been talked to death many years ago. A while back I started a few threads on nutrition only to have them die on the vine.
What else is there?

You can never make everyone happy. Absolutely no moderation is terrible, while constantly moving, combining, and deleting threads is also annoying.
I will say one thing: This is the most action that I have seen "admin wise" in years.
Is Ron trying to clean things up to entice more pros and fitness celebs to post?
I have noticed that the traffic has been dropping recently. We have been struggling to break 1,000 unique visitors for a few days now.
Is it a result of overmoderation?

No more sand & surf 4 him, now he 'climb' Aussie hills (tallest AU mountain is wheel chair accessable :D) & watches aeroplanes
+ since '75 no sign of him at the Bondi beach outdoor gym (YouTube about that gym :))

I had noticed previously threads missing / though wasn't sure if they'd been moved or deleted for a Reason
Hit home when mine went missing.
The fact they are being deleted without the courtesy of notification isn't good & is heavy handed

Best i ever got was some vague admittance through non-staff regulars who routinely act like they are part of the "boys club."
Singular posts retain the thread title even if they are merged, so there is some sort of "paper trail."
It just seems pointless to merge new topics with 10+ y/o threads... Many times it consigns the newer posts to oblivion.

3) I tolerate a lot, but some stupid attacks, or some racist crap has to go - period. Yes, I am the least PC guy
but sometimes, crap is crap
4) If it is a problem or an issue, email me or PM me - I am good with that

Getbig is often somewhat self-policing/enforcing with such matters. Mods & Ron can't be expected to see & intervene in every little spat and then get bitched at when we do. Sometimes it's just too much of a PITA to sift through the garbage trying to salvage the original intent at which time the delete or merge buttons are the quickest solutions. Actually, teh BAN button is pretty darn convenient too. ;)

Also Big Thanks to the 2 other mods that took the time to PM me
and offer answers - Both saying virtually the same things.
Most of what is in the G&O is not Bodybuilding related
What is crap & isn't crap is a matter of opinion & opinions vary
Though saying that on this forum you have the right to remove
what you dont like. Understandably so.
As for being PC yes I'm a Dinosaur & proud of it, Its a Load of nonsense
Is a big rough tough life out there - some just need to deal with it & get on.
