Where is he getting those statistics from? He says it's from a report by the us sentencing commission, but the only report posted on their site doesn't have any statistics by crime attached to it. The coverage of the report in the Times specifically says that there's not a breakdown of crimes in the report and there is only one article about the study on the Fox site and they don't list break downs , either. I couldn't find them posted anywhere online. The drug statistics he gave sound impossible. 72% or all federal drug possession convictions?

“The report did not specify which types of crimes the foreign-born inmates were convicted of, but senior administration officials said future reports would include such information. In the meantime, they pointed reporters to data from the United States Sentencing Commission, which they said indicated that noncitizens were convicted of offenses related to immigration, money laundering and drugs at a disproportionate rate along the southern border. Drug-related prosecutions tend to cluster there because of trafficking activity involving the Mexican cartels.”

Couldn't find anything on their website that addressed those stats. I did find a stat page. Interesting that 67% of the crime or 2/3 of the violations considered as criminal was the mere act of illegally entering the country. If you take that factor out, I would imagine it changes the picture quite a bit

Why would he be reporting statistics only he has access to, but claiming they're from a just released report? Most reporters would acknowledge it as an exclusive. There's no logical reason why he would build a segment around the statistics, but not acknowledge having an exclusive source.

He starts out by implying if you're in this country illegally then because you've come here illegally you're more inclined to commit a crime
If someone comes here illegally it makes more sense to presume they want to stay here and that would suggest they would avoid doing things such as committing crimes which could get them thrown out
without seeing the actual data or the study from the US Sentencing Commission there is no way to tell if these number actually represent all illegal activities by everyone in this country
One claim he made stands out as appearing to be totally bogus and that is the claim that 72% of all drug possession is committed by illegal aliens
This seems impossible to believe and I have no doubt that looking at the data source would show this claim is not correct

No, I take the word of people I trust that have a history owning liberals with legit proof to back it. The left is 100% incapable of telling the truth. It's impossible to discuss let alone argue with a liberal. And yes, that estimated 72% does seem legit especially if you take into consideration that most of the drugs coming into the US are from Mexico and South America. You had a shit load coming across the border during Obama's reign and opened the floodgates even more right before he left office.

None of this backs up what he said in that video. We all know that there was a study released. However, what's not in the study are the statistics he cited and you didn't link to anything with those statistics either. With the exception of the article that uses him as a source.

I can tell you that in Austin Tx, which is one of the states listed with the highest illegal immigrant crime, very few arrests for drug possession was of illegal immigrants.
