How do you train them?
Every other day?
Once a week?
Weighted?
High rep?
???
-
I ll train them say on a Monday, then a Wed or Thursday, then on like a Saturday or Sunday. More like every 2-3 days...when cuttin up.
What ever works for you 3-4 exercises 3 sets of 15-20.
Leg Raises
Knee Ups
Cable Crunches
Crunches
Abs are made in the kitchen, that is the God's honest truth.

yea but that's only beacause they are pumped with blood, that's temporary.
-
In all seriousness sex is great for the abs.
Other than that i never directly train them. Movements like heavy tricep pushdowns are great and also heavy bench presses with a slow and controlled fashion.

I train them like i train anything else. Hard, heavy weights with the same volume as everything else.

That is the truest statement I have ever read. If you train heavy you have abs...just gota get rid of the flab.

I switch them with calves every other day..........

I concur, overall heavy lifting will give you abs as long as your body fat is low.

Monster ignorance of Serge Nubrets ab training
-
gotta love those 2000 situps by serge ;)
-
Every day, isometric contraction on a decline, 20 minutes
-
Alexxx has got something there. Abs for cardio. Alla Serge Nubret. He said he didn't do effin cardio his ab work was his cardio. not to mention he trained hard and rested very short between sets.
-
It's all about having low body fat. overtraining the abs is a good way to injure yourself, unless the resistance is really low.

Yep that they are!

I always train abs before I start working out. I use it as part of my warm up. I do some regular crunches, then I do some like V-ups with a weight in my hand. Then I do some leg raises, and finish with leg lifts on an incline board, oh and if I have time some side bends with a weight. Like others have pointed out, I always have had abs, but they are more pronounced since I started working them a bit. It is also related to genetics, as I am not very good at with staying away from junk food, but still have abs.

No doubt about it. The diet is the secret to visible abdominals. I have always believed that if you train hard and heavy enough you have the abs ,but they are covered with bodyfat if you can't see them. Too much ab work I believe is a waste of time, just put the extra effort in the diet.

I used to think the same way but once I started working my abs all my lifts went up. It's the basis for most of your movements so it's an advantage to give them some direct work.

I only do abs twice a week Mon and Thur. just crunches and hanging leg raises about 3 sets each 30 reps. As far as weight ill only throw in weight once in awhile like 35 pounds max. You dont want your abs to be huge because then it will look like you have a gut. Keep your abs in high rep. If your abs can be seen and you have a low body fat I would use 0 weight. I have deep definition in mine so I train just to keep them cut mostly.
