Title: Bj Penn news
Post by: *ChuteBoxe* on July 27, 2006, 04:10:30 PM
Bj Penn will be moving down to 155 to fight Jens Pulver as the main event for the UFN 7 show in oct.  Also, Kendall Grove will be making his debut as a UFC contract fighter against an unnamed fighter who has a record of 6-0, according to one of his teammates.

Graet!  That seems like a huge match for UFN.  That's a PPV quality match easy...

Also looking forward to seeing what Tito's brought out in Grove...

He may have fought at 155, but he often balloons WAY above that. His stats list him @170, but that must have been when he was 12 years old.  No way he walks around at 170. When he cuts his head looks huge.  Look at his pics.

Newbie?  hehehehe.  I have more than 20 years in boxing, kickboxing and mma.  Hardly a newb.

I meant newbie to following MMA

it is common knowledge that bj has fought mostly at 155

Hughes felt disrespected when he stepped up to 170

Been following MMA since UFC 1.  I have followed BJ since he was the rage of the bjj tourneys in SoCal.  I still say when he cuts to 155, his already ample dome appears even larger.  He and Tito would make great bobbleheads.
