All of my life i've been told that you should train certain groups with certain groups. Can anyone shed some light on this for me. As to if its truth or just another myth.. I am getting serious at working out again and don't have a very good program would love to take something from some of yall please leave any advice and thanks for it, in advance.....

I don't belive you SHOULD do anything. you have to do what works for you. I do a 4 day split.

Quads,calves
off
shoulders,hams
back,tris,calves.

JR.
you work calves twice a week, well ive been told you should do triceps and biceps together but then ive been told they work against each other so you shouldnt train them together, so im curious as to which is best and what everyone has seen the most results and how many sets do you do for each body part...

yes me too! i have tried pairing chest with tris and back with bis but that DOES not do jack fuckin shit for me. and nothing pisses me off more than wasting time, money, food, supplements. My old split worked well but i was burning out from not having enough days off.

how do you workout your whole leg in the same workout? after my quad workout, im too fried to do a complete hammy AND calf workout.

i train low volume...only 4-6 sets for hams and about 5 sets for calves. i used to split them up but it made no difference. i also train more for power than bodybuilding. my hams also get destroyed on back day when i do deadlifts.

Im really thinking of pairing Tris with shoulders rather than doing them on back day. my shoulder workout isn't half as taxing as my back workout is. we'll see, today is back day and if my backworkout is going to suffer or my Tri workout then im going to move it.
