I disagree with Ruhl having palumboism.  He hasn't lost his abs atall.  He has distension but its not palumboism per se.

Kamali seems to have lost something on the floor. Maybe he is looking for money there! I guess he could tell by the audience response or lack of much how he was going.

Choad, funny analysis because it is partly true.

Ruhl's always had the thick waist but it doesn't stick out round it's just thick all over and it's always been that way. You can't call paluboism on him either because his abs are very defined and his arms and legs are very big.

You can't compare the guts on Kovacs and Palumbo to Coleman & Cutler. Kovacs & Palumbo look like they're about to give birth to a litter.

King had a good amateur physique.  Remember he topped his buddy Bob.  Ronnie and Kevin get of the s##t for months at a time.  He needs to take a yr off, eat clean, go down in weight 20-30lbs and get back to his amateur.  Screw winning shows!  He just needs to look nice enough to get a top 3 spot yrly. His problems can be corrected.  This is all started when he hooked with Chad and was running around talking about he is 300lbs in the offseason which is for the truly big men like Ronnie, Gunther, Ruhl, Freeman, Taylor and Jay (somehow he can pull it off at 5'8").

What don`t you understand?  He has messed too much with Insulin and Growth Hormone, just like a lot of them.  The Gut is irreversible at this point.

What!  When Ronnie came down in size...he was able to control the gut a bit, and it doesnt stop him from being King of the Hill.  Please.  In Medicine and Pharma, and science in general there are no absolutes, and bbers are committing chemical warfare on the bodies to a certain extent.  There are things about his body that can be corrected...so I understand a hell of a lot more than you willl ever know.  BTW...your physique is ok but you'd get smoked by Ronnie naturally.  Add Wackdaddy too.  Bast and Little Hercules are pretty good.

Ronnie's gut is different. it's not a palumbo gut. it's not deformed it's just that his stomach sticks out a little but not with these mutant obliques and weird disgusting abs (his abs are a little strange but that's the way they're shaped and always been).

What!  Did you see his shots from the NY show?  Looked a little better than the E show, correct.  Hence... he is a multicellular organism...which changes can occur b/c there are no absolutes in science...and his battle ...as with many bbers...is a chemical one.  BTW...he looks much better than Dave P.  He had some nice side chest shots at the E show.  Hopefully...the man is taking notes and willing to make life changing adjustments for the sake of the MTech contract in his hand, the hummer under ft, the home over his head and the hot woman under his arm.  It's easy to kick someone when they are down.

what you just said has nothing to do with my post. are you quoting the right person? I am talking about Ronnie. Ronnie's gut is nothing like Kamali's and Palumbo and Kovacs and those guys. Ronnie's could possibly be from being super-heavy and eating a lot. It's not shaped like Kamali's and it doesn't have the mutant obliques (wide waist) just potbelly at times.

Shit dudes we are up to $15.25....Keep up the good work...

Remember there is no known cause for palumboism, only abstinence from using GH/SLIN/IGF-1 and putting on large amount of weight in shirt periods of time will help a bodybuilder not get palumboism..

Clearly, b/bers like Coleman who attain glute striations have a tremendous amount of determination and dedication to their diet and training.  Imagine, having striated glutes!  How much dieting does it take to get to that point?

After all that dieting, and after pre-judging, Ronnie and the guys go to the buffet line and just eat until they just about pass out.  Then they go to their hotel and drink beer until they do pass out.

When they get to the contest that night, their stomachs are still greatly bloated from all the food and beer they ingested that afternoon.  And that explains the bloated gut/striated glute disparity.

To avoid confusion and/or illegit claims, a pregnancy test should be required before providing any benefits to an individual.

I knew it was just a matter of time before you guys found out about my revolutionary new custom-fit overalls! As you can see in the above pic, they were designed with the modern bodybuilder in mind, providing plenty of breathing room even for those in Stage-3 Palumboism! Gone are the days of being constricted by normal sized overalls! These one-size-fits-all Palumboveralls can accomodate anyone! Keep an eye out for my new Palumboveralls Catalog, featuring models Kovacs, Kamali, and of course myself. I'm looking for more models, preferably in S3P, so please email me if you would like to be featured in upcoming catalogs.

Yates was clearly in the midst Stage One Palumboism at the 1994 Olympia. And although he looked great in 1993, I'll go so far as to assert that he had acquired Pre-Palumbo Syndrome by the '93 O - just check out the obliques he was starting to sport by that time. But he had progressed to Full Blown Palumboism by '94.

I don't know... while James does have a GH gut, he really doesn't have the muscle atrophy in his limbs, the "weird" obliques, or the strange skin thing going on that characterizes the syndrome.  If in a few years his arms and legs start getting smaller while his gut continues to grow, then we can confirm a diagnosis of Palumboism.

A GH gut is definitely one of the symptoms of Palumboism, but lots of guys have a GH gut but don't have Palumboism.

Aging may perhaps play a role, but it can't be the only thing. Many bodybuilders make it into their 40s without any real symptoms of Palumbism. Also, some guys in the 30s have displayed symptoms- Palumbo himself, Kovacs, Kamali

Palumboism is likely caused by a combination of the following:  androgen recepter burnout so AAS is no longer as effective, GH and 'slin abuse, aging, and a genetic predisposition.

It's downright comical how the gut keeps growing while the limbs and chest atrophy, the obliques and ribcage form a big mishapen "O", and the skin becomes brittle, all while a 30-something looks like he's in his 50's.
