Kids are no reason to miss the gym, you might have to switch gyms to find a place that offers childcare like a ymca or commercial type place but it is no excuse! My kids are 2 years apart and their asses got lugged to the gym with me everyday. Nothing like packing a gym bag and a diaper bag to head off to train. If you really want to train you will find the time if not you will find an excuse! My kids are 16 and 14 now so but from new borns to 10 yrs old they hit the gym with me every time I went.

That is a nice set up, the greatest thing I ever did for my lifting career was open my own gym. I trained at many YMCA's and local Commercial gyms only to be told that we can't do this or we can't do that. About 4 years ago I partnered up with a guy to open a weightlifters only type gym that I managed til Jan of this year. In Jan I ventured out on my own and opened the "Exile Barbell" association here in my home town. Again the greatest thing I ever did. I'm at about 40 members and we keep it rough and rugged, no bitchy soccer moms, no old folks gasping and pointing, and no one telling me what I can and can not do. Cause it's all mine and if you don't like it get the fuck out. All my shit has been bought and paid for with cash money so no loans no credit cards and very very little overhead!!!

He is done lifting for now, he has a GF and got a taste of pussy so he is chasing tail and working kinda just lost interest. I'm not one of those parents that make my kid do something cause I wanna live vicariously through them. He still skateboards, plays guitar and is just having fun.

I opened my own gym back in January he came in for a few workouts and just couldn't get back in the groove of it. He is in great shape with decent tone for his age and height, he gets his skinny genes from his mom's side of the family definitely not mine hahaha!!!
