There is nothing realistic @ all in movie fight scenes. Nothing that depicts anything real.  I have 10 years of judo training in my back round, I was nationally ranked for a number of years and all that crap - means nothing now EXCEPT for the fact this in that stupid, stupid fight scene, if either guy had any real training @ all it would have ended @ the 1st point the blond guy would have sunk in a life ending standing guillotine choke - that would have happened if this was realistic @ all.   Having the real experience I have, trying to watch this choreographed garbage is painful.   It's fucking garbage.

 Instead of watching TV go out and get some real training under your belt. Fight in some competitions. I don't mean that karate bullshit - they give out belts in all those watered down kicking and punching "disciplines" like candy on halloween - I don't even know if you can call that anything but a waste of time and money. 

Train in something real like jujitsu or judo. If you make it to black belt in under 6-7 years you are doing very well - usually it will take a decade.  Then come talk to me about some TV scene.

 Yea man -  he had a rough couple of years.  if I remember correctly he had an un-diagnosed case of lymes disease that basically crippled him before it was finally diagnosed like 5 years later.  He spent time on crutches then in a wheel chair.  Then his then wife tried to kill him to collect the insurance money from his death - some sort of a car crash scheme. It was really fucked up. This is the woman who basically went "off thee grid" with Joe - living in a solar powered house somewhere out in the middle of nowhere. The home was built into the side of a mountain and I believe Joe and the wife built it themselves for the most part.  I only remember bits and pieces of it all.  I think they grew / raised all their own food and only went into town to shop for what they couldn't make.  I thought this whole Idea was great.  Just get the fuck away from society and all the assholes.

  Yep -  to say he had a couple rough years it to put it lightly.  Joe was a cool dude - I corresponded with him a few times way back when I was getting into training.  He didn't have to be , but he was real nice answering all my stupid diet and training questions.  Definatly a guy I wish didn't check out early.

Listen toolbag - This guy is so genetically gifted that back when he was a top t pro he trained less than 6 months a year.  If he decides to make a go of competing in the masters I think he will place very well or walk away with the whole thing. It really all depends on how much he is willing ot put his body thru.

Im a 45 yr old guy and i work in the programming systems engineering industry for a large company and work w a bunch of these kids who believe they are it. They are a bunch of lazy underachievers. They jjst have no idea. Many of them have gone to college on a full ride academic scholarship. Good achools like Stevens and NJIT good technical schools. I went to a state school and have a pre law criminal justice devree. One in the same. I had to take algebra 3x before i was able to pass it in college. School just didnt come easy to me-maybe. I have. ADHD or something. I do the same job @the same level as all these self proclaimed geniuses-a vuy who barely passed the required math classes. Am i an overachiever or are there self centered brains lazy underachievers? They will be the 1st to tell u how smart they are. Most of these kids still dont make their own financial decisions. Ome guy has never paid rent or a mortgqge @26 yrs old. Lives in his familys apt bldg for free. I strongly suspect he will not date a chick without his folks approval.
