1  Getbig Main Boards / General Topics / Re: World goes mad for new Apple iPad 3 ! on: March 16, 2012, 09:08:00 PM

Upset?  No.  I have been called worse than “faggoty” (though I realize you weren’t calling me that directly). Very little that I see on a message board could get me upset.  Amused is more like it.

I find it funny that anyone would say something like they only recently realized that the general population was stupid… and that if they had known this sooner they would have made different choices in life... presumably choices that would have brought them greater prosperity.  That kind of observation makes you sound like an after-the-fact expert.  Embarrassed

Bay, I think you are more upset about the disparaging comments made towards i-products than you are about fagg0try comments. Amazing what apple has accomlished. Quite astonishing really.
2  Getbig Main Boards / General Topics / Re: So who's getting "The new Ipad"? on: March 16, 2012, 12:09:29 PM
ok cool, that is what I was thinking, really what else can they do to make it that much better, the screen on the original ipad was amazing, perfect, movies looked amazing, how much more do people need really?  I agree with you.

Also camera's on smart phones and devices like this are not wanted in some businesses if you work for them anyway.

People want it because Apple tells them it's better. Plain and simple. I bet most have no idea why they need it.  Apple is better at leading sheep than the government.

3  Getbig Main Boards / General Topics / Re: World goes mad for new Apple iPad 3 ! on: March 16, 2012, 12:00:40 PM
If they wanted one that bad why not just order it online.  Duh!   Tongue

You have to remember that most Apple customer's are not capable of using the internet for more than posting updates to Facebook.

4  Getbig Main Boards / General Topics / Re: World goes mad for new Apple iPad 3 ! on: March 16, 2012, 11:09:38 AM
Apple is circling the drain... on the verge of financial collapse... the company will certainly be out of business by the end of 2012...  Roll Eyes

Apple is ingenious...they make very minor changes and "reinvent" their products causing a great stir amongst all the sheep that are their customers.  I'm not bashing their products, but come on, they haven't made any dramatic changes to the ipad or iPhone since the first versions were released. Meanwhile, people are dumping their older versions for a slightly better camera or display that is no larger than the first edition.
5  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: I rest my case on Fedor. 0-3 & Losing to a Middleweight on: July 31, 2011, 12:20:57 PM

35(and not 34) is pretty old for a professional athlete, and age is only one of the considerations, the other being time he has been fighting. When you are 35 and you have been fighting for 15 years, then you are very old. It's not only about chronological age, but the wear and tear of being in many fights. If Fedor had started fighting at 28, then he would still be old for a pro MMA fighter but not that old. But since he started at 20, he is very old.

SUCKMYMUSCLE

Hendo has been fighting longer and he is an OLDER and SMALLER fighter.  Your excuses are pathetic. Fedor is the biggest sham that MMA ever seen.  I'm thankful that the GOAT arguments for Fedor are no longer arguable
6  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / I rest my case on Fedor. 0-3 & Losing to a Middleweight on: July 30, 2011, 09:43:04 PM
I knew he was overrated all along, but damn, this was a brutal ending to his sham of a career.

Looks like M-1 couldn't pay off Strikeforce for the victory.
7  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: Gsp vs. nick diaz set for october on: June 02, 2011, 11:50:32 AM
Rooting for Diaz, probably for the first time.  Shocked

Unfortunately, I see a long night of take downs, with GSP passing Nick's guard and issuing a beat down mostly from side mount. Hopefully the fight won't be stopped on cuts.

Diaz has truly made me a fan over the years.  His "bad-attitude" has made him unlikeable at times, but in the end, he's the one that made out. He's getting his big money and title shot straight out of Stikeforce and has created one of the most anticipated/fan requested fights in a long time.

IMO, Diaz knew what he was doing all along playing his "bad attitude" character.

I can't remember the last time I saw a boring Diaz fight.
8  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: Gsp vs. nick diaz set for october on: June 02, 2011, 09:32:29 AM
The thing that makes Diaz an interesting opponent for GSP's safe style is the fact that there's no real safe place to fight Diaz.  Sure, GSP may use his wrestling, which has been a weak point for Diaz, but Diaz has a great ground game, so there is still risk. IMO, I think Diaz has pretty comparable stand-up and Diaz is not afraid to get hit and can take a punch.  If Diaz starts landing the jabs on GSP, he way very well take this fight.  We all know GSP does not like and it not used to getting punched.

I think Diaz has a great chance at beating GSP.  I think Diaz is a handful for many reasons and just the guy to make GSP fight if nothing else.
9  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: Great quote from the man who demolished Fedor...Big Foot on: May 17, 2011, 02:36:00 PM
according to mindspin everybody wants to fight fedor just so they can beat him, so i guess every fighter wants to fight an overweight lhw to be a badass, right?

you clowns make it so easy for me to own you, it's like I'm Fedor beating down 2 time ufc champ tim sylvia Grin

E

Fedor beat Tim Sylvia AFTER Couture took Tim's balls. At the point of his fight with Fedor, Sylvia wasn't even glorified can status.  Ask Ray Mercer.

10  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: Gsp Weightgain on: May 17, 2011, 11:50:20 AM
As usual Earl, I will pwn you with facts.  You're impressed with Coleman?  He's got a 16-10 record.  Randleman?  His record is 17-16!  LOL!!!  Bro you're reaching.  This is exactly what I am talking about.  Fedor beat a bunch of overhyped fighters.

You ask when does GSP ever finish opponents?  How about 60% of the time!  That's right, 60% of his wins are by KO or submissions.  He has NEVER been dominated in a fight.  He's been caught twice and avenged both of those losses.  Take a look at the long list of ELITE fighters that he has demolished: Fitch, Hughes, Alves, Koschek, BJ Penn, Sherk, etc.

The last line in your post is hilarious.  "beat the most amount of impressive fighters"...lol.  You can't come up with any names other than crocop & Nog.  Fedor has beat a long list of cans with crappy records.  He's been hurt/dominated in multiple fights.  He's got two losses against B level players that he will never avenge. And, now he is trying to get back on the win column by doing what he does best...fighting guys he thinks he can beat easily.  Seriously.  Hendo at heavyweight....that's just sad.

The face of a man who has "completely dominated" everyone he's faced...LMAO!

He never recovered. I think each one of these took a year or two off of his career. Damn, brutal, especially seeing that in most of these fights Fedor was at least a 5-1 favorite.
11  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: Great quote from the man who demolished Fedor...Big Foot on: May 17, 2011, 11:47:00 AM
Who cares what that can crusher thinks? Fedor is garbage and so is he. He only fights for the "farm team" organization under the UFC banner so he's irrelevant.

Although I do agree that Bigfoot could become the next G.C.C.O.A.T., he has yet to go on any type of can crushing streak that resembles Fedor's.

He's got a lot of nerve talking like that. I guess Bigfoot feels that beating on an overweight LHW classifies him as a Badass.
12  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: GSP's eye post fight... on: May 13, 2011, 03:59:40 PM
I disagree.  Did you see his fight with Jon Fitch?  It was a battle.  Fitch simply wouldn't give in but his face was a bloody pulp by the end.  Same with the Kos fight, most fighters would have given up, but Kos stayed in there and took a fucking shellacking.  I didn't see any cautious, defensive fighting from GSP, he took the fights to those guys.  He beat BJ Penn so badly he threw in the towel in between rounds.  St Pierre fights aggressively.  He's no Chuck Liddell when it comes to knocking guys out, but he has so many ways to win.

I agree with you on the Fitch fight. He had Koscheck's eye shut in the first round and he was afraid to do anything besides safely jabe the rest of the fight. Smart fighting by GSP.  He had Hardy on the ground for almost 5 rds and Hardy has zero wrestling or JJ and he still ccouldn't finish.

GSP is a badass, but he is becoming more of a safe fighter and he's terrified of losing after the Serra KO.
13  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: Gsp Weightgain on: May 13, 2011, 02:05:00 PM
all of your ufc heroes that fight below heavyweight are bullies

Fedor has been the bully killer for years, troll

E

Really? Explain how someone making weight and fighting guys that make the same weight class is bullying?

Earl, Fedor is done. Get over it. He had a good run crushing the cans of his era.

Now he wants easy paydays by fighting guys that are below his weight class.

Fedor obviously is beyond caring what people think about him or his career.
14  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: GSP's eye post fight... on: May 13, 2011, 01:48:55 PM
This is a good point.

You know i'm not a huge fan, but i give GSP props.  Would like to see him finish though.  For that reason, (lack of ever finishing) i don't think he is the best p4p ever.  The way in which a fighter wins should be taken into consideration.  Anyone can just sit back a play defense.

I agree with this. GSP is a great fighter, but his "safe" style, especially in fights where he is dominating, is going to keep him out of the best P4P ever.

It would be much different if he was in wars that still went to decisions.

15  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: Gsp Weightgain on: May 13, 2011, 01:44:05 PM
do you think you know mma more than all of the elite fighters that say Fedor is great or the greatest of all time?

think about it for a second Roll Eyes

E

Only people touting Fedor's skills these days are looking for a fight with him and an easy victory.

Put a fork in him, he's done. Irrelevant.

G.C.C.O.A.T though.
16  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: Gsp Weightgain on: May 13, 2011, 10:53:27 AM
hahaha when are you going to name fighters with better resumes?  you are the master of dodging questions

not only did Fedor beat his competiton, he never even lost a round until recently

E

Fedor is fighting a LHW next that also fights at MW.....Damn that is embarrassing.

When he figured out he couldn't beat a 6-1 underdog-can, he decided to play the "bully" game.
17  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: GSP's eye post fight... on: May 13, 2011, 10:50:46 AM
It's insane that people actually knock GSP.  He is the best fighter in the world.  He has gutted a very very competitive welterweight division.  He takes on anybody, and it's never even close.  I just don't get it when people detract from his dominance.  I think he's the best MMA fighter in the world, and a totally classy guy as well.  I don't find his fights boring in the least bit.

GSP is an extremely talented fighter and superb representative of the sport.

But I feel that having the reputation for being a boring fighter is warranted.

Unless GSP fights Nick Diaz next, I won't buy into the hype that GSP's fight will be exciting.

I know what to expect.

18  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: UFC Paying even more to its fighters... on: May 11, 2011, 02:56:59 PM
http://www.mmafighting.com/2011/05/11/ufc-to-offer-bonuses-to-fighters-for-tweeting/

How can anyone say this is a stupid or worthless way of marketing?

As a fighter, you have a FREE, real-time, unedited way to communicate what you want to your fans, with little effort.

No hassle with interviews or things getting taken out of context and fans can interact with you in real-time as well.

Think about this...When Dana gives away free tickets, without any prior knowledge by his fans, he 'tweets' where he is to his fans/followers, and literally within 30 seconds or less, people show up to get their free tickets. Just a brief text from his phone, and literally millions of INTERESTED people hear him. FOR FREE!

Very smart by the UFC to encourage this technology.

19  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: Gsp Weightgain on: May 10, 2011, 09:28:15 PM
he's not going out after the henderson fight

no fighter can say he's been a bigger bully killer than Fedor

6'0 and a very soft 230 lbs beating taller, heavier and more muscular man

that guy is my hero Cheesy

E

You're right...there are quite a few past their prime cans that he can take fights with. Lindland want a rematch.  Maybe Babalu?
Trigg? Shamrock? Wonder who it'll be.

Still sad to see that his career has come to this....at least take fights with HW cans.
20  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: Gsp Weightgain on: May 10, 2011, 06:39:26 PM
and Fedor killing bigger guys for years was what?

you will hate on the best fighter we have ever been priviledged to watch no matter what

keep hating while your ufc heroes keep praising him, makes you look so smart Wink

E

Bullying smaller guys around is no way for a fighter to go out. Damn shame.  I'm not the biggest Fedor fan, but I didn't want this to happen to him.  Go out like a man, fighting the best. Win or Lose, there's no shame in that.

21  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: Gsp Weightgain on: May 10, 2011, 05:33:40 PM
This is a no win situation for Fedor and nothing but an embarrassment that his career has come to this.

He's fighting a smaller guy. A guy that has recently fought at MW and LHW?

When I was in school, they used to call picking on the little guy, being a bully.
22  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: Gsp vs. nick diaz set for october on: May 07, 2011, 04:30:45 PM
Diaz will get put on his back every round, as soon as he commits to those punches GSP will change levels and take him down and avoid sub attempts for 5 rounds in another GSP point style decision.  I like Nick, but there is a reason Strikeforce and EliteXc kept him away from guys who can wrestle and just kept feeding him stand up fighters.

Hard to give him a wrestler, when there were really none to give him in WW.  I'll admit that Diaz has shown a weakness to wrestlers, but his skill level has changed greatly over the past few year.

That being said he's been beating cans for the past few years, and most likely will get crushed by GSP.
23  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: Gsp vs. nick diaz set for october on: May 06, 2011, 07:21:09 PM
any idea how many fights nick has on his existing strikeforce/zuffa contract ?

I'm not certain, but I think I remember it being 6 that he signed before the last Noons fight.
24  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: Gsp vs. nick diaz set for october on: May 06, 2011, 04:26:06 PM
Personally, I think this is a ploy to get Uncle Dana to put some big money up if he wants Diaz to fight GSP.
Diaz is a lot smarter than we are giving him credit for here.  GSP really has no other 'promotable' opponents at WW besides Diaz.

Otherwise, without Diaz, you have a boring champ with a boring opponent, and a fight nobody will to pay to see.

http://www.mmafighting.com/2011/05/06/unless-bout-with-st-pierre-materializes-soon-diaz-will-box-lac/

While boxing promoter Don Chargin told MMA Fighting on Friday that both Diaz and Lacy have signed bout agreements to face one another in a boxing match later this year, Diaz's manager, Cesar Gracie, said Diaz has a contract with Chargin, but has yet to sign a specific bout agreement for this fight.

"Nick has a signed contract but is waiting to sign an actual bout agreement," Gracie wrote in a text message on Friday afternoon. "We are only waiting to see if Zuffa is serious about a Diaz-GSP fight."
25  Getbig Misc Discussion Boards / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA/UFC) / Re: GSP's eye post fight... on: May 06, 2011, 12:25:51 PM
Looks more like a case of "ocular-vaginitis" brought on the surprise of Shields landing jabs to his eye and not knowing how to handle getting punched. Grin

One more fight for GSP. One more excuse apology for not finishing the fight. Smiley
