Oh brother...... one set of rules for Tigger and another set for everybody else. What a disgrace and he doesn't have the integrity to withdraw which is what he should have done. I ANY other player on the course does that, he is DQ'd for signing an incorrect score card. Of course the no-nothings at ESPN and those with zero history of the game will babble about it being a "bad" or "unjust" rule.....seems to me that if it was good enough for everybody else in the game than it should be good enough for Tiger.
Furthermore, don't want to hear about it being adapted because of the HD tv stuff. This was nothing to do with a ball moving, he clearly broke a rule and then signed an incorrect score card. Game over.
I couldn't have put it better myself. Especially the part about what would have happened had it been anyone else. He could have gained some respect back from many people had he wd'd. I'm sure many of his people recommended he do just that. That shows his level of respect for the game and others. My thoughts are why would I gain respect for someone for doing the right thing.

Is that Zeb Coulter/Uncle Zebekiah/Dutch Mantel, as their manager?
Give me some credit because I don't watch much anymore, but I thought Zeb was Dutch Mantel when I first saw him. Has he been with the company for a while, or what has he been doing? I assume that angle has some reality to it? Monty, any knowledge?

Two peas in a pod; I'm sure you know Sting & Ultimate Jim were originally tag team partners.
As for Andre, if he didn't like you, he could be one miserable prick towards you. For instance, he never liked the Iron Sheik, who was often a bit of a bully with the jobbers. He'd stretch them during matches just to take liberties with them.
Andre didn't like that Sheik did that, so he used to pin Sheik face down on the mat, sit on his back, grab his wrists, and "row" his arms in circles as if they were oars on a boat. That hurt like Hell, and is why the Iron Sheik never liked working with Andre.
The Blade Runners, right? Imagine if they had stayed together. The tag-team world probably would have been much different. Of course, those two were going to be big, so they never would have done that.

Nobody really cared for Hellwig. Andre wasn't thrilled to be working with him, and their working relationship was only made worse by the fact that Jim never gave Andre a chance to do one of his favorite spots in which he would take a couple of clotheslines and then get his arms tied up in the ropes.
Well, Ultimate Jim never backed off to let Andre hit the rope spot. The idiot just kept charging Andre, then going onto the next spot in the match. This went on for several matches. One night, Andre'd had enough and decided to stick his fist out as the Ultimate Prick made his usual charge. Hellwig's face bounced off of Andre's hand, legitimately knocking him senseless.
The next night, Ultimate Jim charged very gingerly at Andre, giving him ample room and time to happily tangle his arms.
I have never heard that story and love it. I would love to see Andre sitting on him. What was he thinking? He should have known better. Yes, he had a great gimmick for the time. For some reason, I kind of liked him, but not many others of his kind, if any. Probably because I didn't see much of him. I despised "our" version of him.......otherwise known as Sting.

I agree with you guys. I think that was a good role for Luger to assume for a while. It got him over much stronger than he would have on his own, and it provided a unique element to the Horsemen, which had not yet been established.
We better slow down this love for Luger a little. Stoppa liked him okay, but not as much as me, and I would hate for him to think we were short-changing Tully, and try to lay a beatdown on me. I saw Luger at a bb show in Atlanta around 04-05, before his paralysis and really bad health for sure. He was still big, but could barely get around. He walked like an 80 year old in bad shape. It was sad.

That is about what it should be. I could make an argument for, and wouldn't argue against Ole and Luger (yes, Luger) but that is it.
Let me explain myself before the inevitable beatdown. Luger, in my opinion was a very good Horseman. He certainly didn't need to talk that much, everyone else had that covered. He gave the Horseman that huge muscular guy to protect them. At the time Arn hadn't really developed into the Enforcer, so he made a great one. And early on, he could wrestle a little. Again if he couldn't, the others had that covered. I think Stoppa would agree, although he is not as big of a fan as I.

I don't know how they arrived at the decision, but the only men specifically recognized as Horsemen at the ceremony and officially inducted into the HOF are Blanchard, Arn, Ric, Dillon, and Windham.
Again, I don't understand how and/or why Vince chose those guys specifically, but they are the only men to have received rings and have their names entered on the HOF roster as Horsemen. Apparently, just "being" a Horseman wasn't enough to qualify. Not saying I agree or disagree with it, but that's how it is.
That is about what it should be. I could make an argument for, and wouldn't argue against Ole and Luger (yes, Luger) but that is it.

Since the "Four Horseman" got inducted in the Hall last year, doesn't that mean that Sting, Luger, Sid, Ole Anderson, Benoit, Malenko, McMichael, et. al, are all Hall of famers, now?
NO, NO, NO!!

I'm just curious... How did this make you feel? Did you REALLY have to post that pic? It makes me sick to my stomach then, just like it does now. One of the worst fits in their history if you ask me. He got his in the end though. I never did care for any of his gimmicks. Plus, he always just beat the crap out of Flair, hulked up on him, and never lost clean. Way too silly to be a Horseman.

Indeed. But, just as Rock and Hunter had to overcome their "New Generation" gimmicks, Jarrett had to do the same. And the "Double J" gimmick was no easy one to shake, especially given how well it worked for him as a mid-carder (and IC champion).
Perhaps, it was the whole Debra thing as Jarrett's heat (post "Double J") came mainly because of his treatment of her. McMahon probably thought he couldn't be a big heel without her (especially since the fans loved her, in spite of Jarrett).
I hated it when he became a Horseman, but looking back, he was a pretty good fit for the group. I liked his work in TNA.

Man, when he came out in the Bischoff (I think) segment on Nitro, I thought my prayers for another Flair might be answered. Even at that age, he seemed so comfortable in front of the camera and seemed to have a little flair, unlike poor David.
I met David at Flair's gym in Charlotte. He was very nice, but he obviously got his wrestling genes from his mother, not his father. Having said that, I always thought he did a decent job with what he was given to work with. Last I heard, he was trying to be a trooper?
