Now, besides the differences in condition, size and posing.....do you see why Phil has better genetics than you as far as BBing goes?

I think you two are probably not too far apart in these pics, bodyweight wise. Phil is a lot shorter than you. He's 5'9" and you look to be 6'5".

We've seen you diet....it's the gain muscle part we're all waiting for. Of course, for it to be valid you'll need a high quality scan, like a DEXA to prove it (beginning and ending points).

If you look at Dexters lats, they are high and don't look as good as Phil's did at the CO and NY shows. Now that Phil has added 20lbs or more I think he'll kill Dexter by a landslide.

He played basketball and was naturally pretty lean. First time I ever saw him around he already had striated tris. He may have "dieted" for this contest but from what I remember him telling me it wasn't a "bodybuilding" diet. I think he only prepped for 4 weeks or something.

If you guys lived here you'd be as amazed as the rest of us.

It is....I've been around the game for quite a while and you learn to spot people like Phil. They are few and far between. Although we've had a lot of good talent coming out of Colorado, as far as male BBers go, I have never said to myself "That guy will be a pro in no time" .....until I saw Phil.

I don't know about anyone else but I wouldn't mind having Phil's muscle and symmetry as mine after I had been lifting for years and years. To have that to start off with is pure genetics and a huge gift from God...thus, the nickname "TheGift". Remember, people around Colorado gave Phil that name....he didn't name himself. 

Here you go MattC. Here is what Phil looked like before he knew anything about Bodybuilding. Phil, correct me if I'm wrong but this was your FIRST show from what I remember. TA - Why do you think Bodybuilding needs to be the first to clean up it's act? We're a small population. Wouldn't it better if baseball, basketball, football, track and field and other olympic sports cleaned up first? They are viewed by a lot more people worldwide than bodybuilding. If we did clean up bodybuilding a few things would happen: No one would notice (because BBing isn't mainstream), attendance at shows would be down immensely (how often have you seen more than 1000 people at a local show? Wait....you've probably never been to a show so you wouldn't know) and the "sport" would shrink and die. All we would have left would be these boards and a few underground mags.

If you think that by cleaning up BBing that it will help the "sport" then you're mistaken. I do agree that the drug freaks don't hold a candle compared to someone like Phil, physique wise. People need to realized that it's not just about the drugs. They can be a tool but shouldn't be the main factor when building a better body.

Not to cut on you but if everyone looked like you at the shows I go to....I would stop going. Why? Because I have friends that look like that and I lift in a gym filled with folks that look like that. Why pay to see the exact same thing I'm around everyday? Put it this way: If you had a fat and ugly girlfriend would you pay to see the exact same thing at a strip club? No....you wanna see something better.

Phil was larger, leaner and had better lines/ symmetry than most on this board when he was natural and barely lifting. At first it pissed me off but why hate a guy if he's gifted in a certain area. The sky is limit for Phil, not just because of his physique but also for the person he is.

Anyone who doesn't like Phil should go meet him in person and see if your ideas about him change.

That's not even high 20's....I was 29% when I started my diet and I was a LOT fatter than that. My guess would be 20%-18%.

No, he was judged fairly. I was sitting right up front during the Colorado Pro show. Edson is a FREAK but if you look at his arms/ delts/ chest they all run together. It's like they are 1 huge continuous muscle. When you have a guy like that who is hard as nails but looks that way in a certain area you have to start thinking about oil abuse.

This is hilarious...someone with a turkey neck like TA giving Phil a hard time...that's laughable. I have seen guys like TA clammer on and on about certain bodybuilders only to reveal in the near future that they are gay. Don't sweat it TA...so what? So you jack off to Phil's pics....no one is hating on you man. You go girl.

I have judged Phil on the NPC level and have seen him around at the shows and at my gym. Phil and I have talked a lot. I won't get into any info here but lets say he probably takes less "supps" than TA.

When Phil first decided to compete he knew nothing about competing in BBing. Phil, you dieted for liek 4 weeks or something for your first show, right? He was striated and pretty big...nothing close to what he is now but he made TA look like Sally Struthers in size and condition.

Derik's right, the other guy was Ernest. Forgot his last name but he's like 5 feet wide and 7 feet tal. He's a giant! There were also 2 women judges from what I remember but I didn't talk to them.

I did talk to Albert after the show and had no clue who he was, til we waked away and I mentioned to my friend that I thought it was Albert Beckles that we were just talking to.

I have no "Judge-itis" as you imply. I'm just trying to call you on most of your delusional BS. I have no aspirations of being a Pro judge ever, not even a National level judge. I'm happy where I'm at. I like to help people and that's what I do.

I don't think Gary looked that bad in person, as far as the red face goes. He did need to work on his posing, back and left shoulder though.
