He left on the 3rd...texted his friends on the 5th that he was out of gas and water and his friends contacted the authorities.  They found his camp on the 7th and his body on the 8th.  His friends are not at fault.

I've been reading his blog 2 or 3 times a week since last fall.  While living in Vegas, he frequently took trips into the surrounding desert in his Landcruiser.  He left it in Vegas when he moved to Cali back in July so that is why he didn't have it with him and had to take the motorcycle.  Being as experienced as he was at adventuring I would think he'd realize that it's pretty difficult to bring the necessary supplies out to the desert on a motorcycle.  Also, he didn't have the greatest track record with managing his gas tank as he ran out of gas during his trip to Oregon, in the middle of the night, and pushed his bike 7 miles(his words) to the next gas station.  Obviously he wasn't as prepared as he should of been and there's really no one to blame but himself.  Maybe something more will come out about this in the next few days. 

With that said, I will miss his blog and his stories.  He lived life the way he wanted to and at least got one last adventure in.  Hopefully he found what he was looking for out there.   R.I.P.

It was last night/early this morning

When I was going to school full time and working full time I had the worst diet ever.  School from 8am to 3pm and work from 8pm to 4am.  Breakfast was 2 bacon egg and cheese McGriddles, lunch I'd have cafeteria chili with cheese, sour cream and jalapenos, a side of cottage cheese and some canned peaches for a little dessert and then whatever leftovers I could grab out of the fridge for dinner.  I cleaned airplanes when they came in at night.  I'd do the crop dusting while walking down the aisle and clear everyone out of the plane. 

Ole Georgie must still be thinking about Rachelle from his All Access show.  I can't believe Serra beat him!

Maybe Silva and Gomi were both sick...if Diaz and Hendo were sick and both lost we wouldn't be hearing about that.  We'd hear how Silva's the man and Gomi proved PRIDE > UFC.  Bottom line is that both Hendo and Diaz fought great fights and came out on top, whether under unified rules or Pride rules.

Awesome fights!  First Gomi and then Silva!  I thought Diaz had a chance to take it the distance and squueze out a decision but didn't think Dan would pull it off.  Props to both Diaz and Henderson. 

I've heard that that statement was retracted...that it wasn't Cro Cop that said it but one of his trainers.  Haven't been able to find a good source either way but read that on Sherdog

Read on Sherdog that Dana said that he was awake and alert shortly afterward and was taken to the hospital.  So far they think he's ok.  Reminds me of the Franklin KO of Quarry.

I gotta say, when Salmon did that jumping kick towards the beginning of the first round I almost busted a gut laughing!  That was some weak looking shit.  But he turned it up a notch and made it a little interesting.  Rashad was predictable if you ask me...hold that left hand out there, wait for Salmon to make a move and then throw the quick right that didn't connect like 20 times.

Found this trailer on youtube.  Has got to be the lamest movie trailer I've ever seen.

Anyone in Denver area see this event?  I was out of town and missed it.  My ex was eating dinner at Cinzetti's up off 104th and there was a bunch of fighters there.  Of course she called them "those UFC guys".

I saw the first episode last week...it was put together well.  Will probably watch the rest of the episodes.  They did a good job of showing that the fighters are real people, not just a bunch of dropouts that can't do anything else but bust people's heads.

Brock tried out for the Vikings a year or two ago and ended up on the practice squad for awhile but nothing ever came of it.  I was listening to Mike Morris's radio show here in Minneapolis the day they had him on and Mike Tice called in and threw him a bone about sticking it out on the practice squad but I think he was just putting on a show. 

He has also talked about what happened with the WWE and basically said that he would never wrestle for Vince McMahon again.  And then a few minutes later he said he would for the right price so who knows.  At least he got to fuck Sable for awhile.
