maybe you have miss a chance to fuck a chick because of your arrogance...and that, it's priceless.

I would have say " Well, if I stop to do noise here, can we make some noise together in the shower?"  At least you would have try

Anyway, I hate it too when You can hear Grampa Jon destroying the end of his pant and yelling because he tries to squat 35 lbs

3  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Nutrition, Products & Supplements / Re: Fatburners over 40 years old on: June 12, 2008, 03:20:01 PM
In my opinion, Fat burner offer little if any benefit for "real fat lost".  It is always written on the bottle that the effect is better if used with proper nutrition and exercice...so here's the source of fat loss.

But to answer to your question, all depend which kind of fat burner do you buy?  And are you in shape or not?  If yes, I don't think it bother even if your over 40.

Why did you start this thread? You were the same person who started a thread about the "myths" of eating processed food about six months ago. & doesn't your "principles" say you can eat anything?

Well...if you don't care about the fact it will taste like shit after two days....

Cook a huge amount of brown rice, a big chicken, and frozen vegetables, bake it on sunday and froze it for the weeks.

Yeah, pretty boring, but worked for me when i must lose extra bodyfat.

None other than the mirror. TA says that laser imaging is really the only way to correctly measure muscle mass. Do you have any other suggestions; how much does it cost to do underwater weighing?

Don't pay underwater weighting, it cost too much, think about Accumeasure.  It's accurate with only 1% too much or too less, so even if you're 20% bodyfat, maybe you're 21, maybe you're 19, that's not really important.
10  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Nutrition, Products & Supplements / Re: "Burn the fat, Feed the muscle" Opinions? on: February 06, 2007, 01:54:04 PM
Yeah, It's a good book, the only way i finally get ride of my last belly fat to a good 6% bodyfat.

But, it's pretty hard to follow, try to have a life that permit you to eat 6 solid meal in interval of 3 hours.

For a student like me, working a part-time job in a restaurant, impossible to me to always eat 6 time a day, and with little money, you finish by eating the same thing meal after meal.

Anyway, Yes, this is an incredible book, if you have the lifestyle and money for.

you got a problem staying at that weight or what? you need to gain or lose weight?

No, not really, when i watch myself on what I eat it's ok.  But i'm the kind of guys who can gets 10 pounds in 2 two if I eat junk food.  Right now i weight 160 lbs and i tape my bodyfat to 10%

I'm doing only 2 day of lifting, i'm running each morning, and do boxing training 6 days a week.  Do that change something in my carbs, proteins and fat ratio?  More carbs?

thank you

Hi

I now do boxing competition

My question is, does diet's similar for someone doing bodybuilding and someone doing any martial art?  Is nutrient needs the same?

I want to stay between 158-165 lbs to fight in my division, any advice for that?

Thank everyone Smiley

Hi Steve,

Yeah muscle memory will play a part of the game here, you will gain you're strenght faster than someone who never got it, that for sure!

For cardio, it depend on how you react, do you seem to lose fat fast when doing cardio?  If yes, three time a week for 30 minutes if O.k.  If no, well maybe you must do 4 time/week for 30-45 minutes.  But don't go beyond 5 time/week.

You could keep you're weight heavy.  For fat lost, light or heavy don't really change a thing, the more important thing is to continue to lift weight!

If you can train only one time a week, the best is to do you're cardio after you weight lifting.

As for the time (morning/night), well i would say you lose more fat on the morning with less on you're stomach...but there a huge debate on that...so go with what work the best for you.

For the diet, read the example in the sticky by Dmg in this section, pretty good stuff.

Well, good luck!

thank for answering

I got my bodyfat checked, so it's really around 12-14%, just being a while but it stille around that.

Do calorie or carb cycling would help?  I planning that for next week...but...a good idea...or that don't matter?

And my diet...to many protein...too many carb?...not enough?

thank you Smiley

A example of one day of my diet would look like that:

6h am: 8 eggs whites + 1 fruit or oatmeal

9h am : protein shake with a fruit

12h: one can of tuna with 1/2 cup pasta

15H : Protein shake with fruit

18h: Chicken breast with veggies

21h : Protein shake

look like that, hope it help ^^
16  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Nutrition, Products & Supplements / Can't go below 164 lbs! on: May 04, 2006, 08:56:20 AM
Hi !

I try to lose some extra pound right now, but this time, it's like i reach a "plateau".  I'm doing the Bill Philips Body for life diet ( You know, one size protein with one size carbs and every vegetables you want each 3 hours ).  I don't know what it's really worth, but worked for me last time.  I pass from 172 lbs to 164, but now, i can't go below that.

I'm 5pi9, 164 lbs , my waist size is 32.  I must be around 12-14% bodyfat  and my BMI is 24,2 ( don't know if that help, but sometime asked), endomorph kind (crappy metabolism)

I work out 3 time a week, plus i'm doing boxing 2 times and Capoeira (another martial art) 2 other time a week.

So will all that, what would be the problem?  I'm pointing the diet because it always was the problem, but maybe not?

If you have question or any idea, thank to share! Smiley
17  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Nutrition, Products & Supplements / Re: I don't understand it but I'm happy on: February 24, 2006, 03:56:31 PM
Man it's funny, i got the same result.  Ok, i'm not eating junk food so much, i eat clean, you know, bodybuilding stuff poster on this forum.  But last month, i eat normally, three time a day, plus a protein shake the night.  Something because i'm in highschool i eat at some friend house, something with my girlfriend, and then i eat garbage.  But you know what, i keep losing weight, and been cut was easy.  Now it made one month i follow a dietestist 6meal/day plan diet, and i feel fatter than never.  So i say " no more nonsense" and fall back on my normal eating habit...and it work.

Happy to see i'm not the only one, keep on progressing pals!

21  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Nutrition, Products & Supplements / calorie-in/calorie out vs 3/6 meal confusion?!?1 on: January 08, 2006, 12:58:42 PM
Ok ok ok ok....i read many thread, many article, but there always those thing that confuse me.

First,  it seem like it better to eat 6 small meals than 3 "normal" because of the satiety point, and the fact that with 6 meal you don't stock over what you don't need.

On the other way, some people refer that only calorie in and calorie out in a week matter. And to lose fat, whenever you starve yourself a little more or you train a little harder do the work.

Soooo, let say that someone eat 3 meal/day, but have the same calorie intake at the end of a week than the one who eat 6 small meal/day.  what will be the difference between the two man?

Anyway, i'm only confused between this two factors, and they look to confused themselves....someone could explain me please it would be very appreciated ( and sorry for my poooor english writing, i'm doing my best)
22  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Nutrition, Products & Supplements / Re: Basic Nutritional Information on: December 04, 2005, 07:49:51 AM
Yes but that would be your STARTING POINT.  You should reduce your calories by about 150 each week until you are finished dieting.  Personally I would go higher in protein and lower in carbs.

Hi!

I don't understand how that work...could you explain please?  I mean, you reduce by 150 which way, i mean, how many carb/pro/fat do you cut?  And habitually how many time last a cutting phase?  Is there a limit of time to respect ...or i don't know Huh....well thank you for your help!!

Have a good day!
23  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Nutrition, Products & Supplements / Re: I just try my first diet in my life on: December 04, 2005, 07:21:25 AM
ditch the pb......you don't need it

Why that? Too much fat in my diet?  Should replace it with something else?

Thank !
24  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Nutrition, Products & Supplements / Need suggestion on what i should do! on: December 01, 2005, 11:30:40 AM
Hi everyone!

I made some topic before on a diet i try to do myself, but i think about that, and i want your general advice on how i should make my diet by giving you my stat.

So here some stat:

-19 years old
-5pi9
-165 lbs
-don't know exactly my bodyfat, but i think something around 15%
-I'm the endomorph style ( i can get size faster....but fat come faster too)

So, if i'm aiming to weight 155 lbs....is that real?  Or my bodyfat will be too low?  I'm currently on a endurance workout, and i want to cut the max i can.  What do you sugget me?  Some Fast hint or i don't know, i don't really know where to start to be sure to be in the right way, that why i ask your help Smiley

Thank you very much!!!
