No Chem, you are an astute student of history. I did think, however, that at his final Olympia he was over 200...his biggest. I could be wrong.
I agree...never saw how Dickerson won, although he is to be respected. Most don't know that Dickerson's mother was the first black, female lawyer in Alaska.
I laugh how Arnold disdainfully states that "Zane bruised his balls or something..." when addressing the sour grapes at his questionable 80 O win.
In fact, Zane punctured his urethra when sitting on a pool chair which collapsed on him.
He nearly bled to death.
wasn't dickerson one of triplets? i remember how arnold mocked zane about the lawn chair incident.

Are you talking about the original Mr Wrestling, Tim Woods? or Mr Wrestling II? Woods was a favorite of mine when I was very, very young here in the midatlantic area.
Brisco was a great world champion.
tim woods i think bob roop was also there.

brisco was truly a great wrestler, i remember watching him wrestle on tv when i was in college florida championship wrestling. mr wrestling, jack brisco were the top stars back then. plus the fact that he was a top amateur wrestler makes him a cut above the usual pro rassler.

I wondered about that, as I remeber a while back "funk51" posting some pics and talking a bunch of trash, but you always seem so low key now....makes sense.
neither of us take the site too seriousely, we mostly go on for fun and entertainment. both of us get a kick when some people get all worked up over trival matters.

That’s cool. Did Frank work a territory near you years ago?
I remember WCW brought him in for a one-night appearance. The poor guy could barely walk, but he still came out in his cape & helmet. The show must have been in his home town because quite a few people appeared to know who he was & actually cheered him. I'm sure it made him feel good.
By all accounts, he wasn’t too good a worker in the ring – he’d call some spots after they happened. And he never worked in any big money programs.
Bobby Heenan was friends with him and said that Frank had a great love for the circus. He used to dream of performing with them. In fact, at the end of a lot of his matches (which always saw Frank’s boots staring at the ceiling) he'd often whisper to himself, “Shot out of the cannon.”
Bobby said Frank had more than a few odd ways about him, but was a really great guy.
i live near allentown which was the taping area for all the old wwf tv matches years back. i don't actually remember seeing hickey in person but actually remember him from tv. turco i saw in person. later when i was in college, i went to the old ag hall still there where they still taped the show. guy left me in for free and paid me to take the ring down, he was impressed when i easily carried the ring posts by myself and asked if i ever thought of being a wrestler. had classy freddie blassie doing the vampire gimmick not bit a guy head open that night i might have said yes. as it was guy told me anytime i wanted to come to a show just mention dominic to the door man and he would let me in free and give me 10 bucks to disassemble and load up the ring.

football is a watered down sport anymore. look at pic from when it was a man's sport. y a tittle was a quarterback who on that play got creamed by a giant lineman who knocked him to the turf and beat on him so he couldn't win the game. not like the water down version where your not allowed to hardly touch the quarterback. ya got a concussion as well as a cracked sternum now that's football.
