This thread is a joke right?
52  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Natural Bodybuilding / Re: ASK Mr TAIWAN? Q&A Thread on: May 24, 2007, 03:12:29 PM
The one problem I have that I'm not sure how to solve. Is that even though my chest is now pretty big. It tends to fade too much in the front double biceps shot. Any ideas, or will I just need to build my chest even larger?
53  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Natural Bodybuilding / Re: What do YOU like about Natural BB or about being a Nattie? on: February 17, 2007, 07:21:03 PM
I think the nattie/clean trainer is more similar than different to the enhanced trainer.. Whe it comes down to it, its just that the journey to the same end result is a bit different.

Having the Dr tell me that my kidneys and liver are in tip top condition and that my chance of a heart attack in the next ten years is so low it literally cannot be calculated.
54  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Can a man be over 185 pounds and still attract girls? on: February 16, 2007, 06:46:42 PM
The majority of Women aren't much impressed by the Ronnie Colemans of this world but afew Women are and there is only one Ronnie Coleman. Demand outstrips supply and it's a sellers market.
The smaller you get from here the larger percentage of Women will think you are a nice build but there will be a greater increase in the number of guys also built like you.

These skinny guys might appeal to more girls but any pretty lady can find a hundred guys with bodies like that in any club, so if she's after hooking up with a guy with a body like this even for one night She can afford to be more choosey about other things like his looks and personality.

You can't please all the people all the time so don't try.

Yes he did.  It's common knowledge that before implants he looked like the shadow and the end result was what we saw on the Olympia stage

The Shadow had a much better back Wink
56  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Injury and Rehabilitation / Re: CORTISONE AND FAT GAIN on: December 09, 2006, 05:31:12 AM
I thought cortisol was a catabolic hormone. So then if anything wouldn't it break down fat, I would worry more about my cartilidge if I were you. I wouldn't trust a physio to give me a cortisol shot unless I had got my own MRI and shown it to another consultant preferably one who has nothing to gain by prolonging my injury or by bringing it to a premature close at the cost of a long term performance decrement (ideally speak to a qualified freind or family member) and had a second opinion from him.

One final piece of advice, if your physio was an athlete or bodybuilder (recreational or otherwise) whoose career was ended by injury sack him the second you come by this information! Why?

1) The same principle as "never trust a bald barbour he has no respect for your hair".

2) If he couldn't prevent his own injury how in the blue hell do you expect him to be able to fix yours?

58  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Injury and Rehabilitation / Re: recurrent shoulder injury need help!!! on: December 07, 2006, 06:00:59 PM
Hey, ok I have had a shoulder problem for last 3 years when i initially injured it lifting too much and playing basketball(long story).  Anyways,  been to doctors, orthopedics etc... they won't do anything, x-rays say there is no problems, most likely weak tendons or damage to connective tissue...  Well I broke my hand and didn't do any shoulder lifting for over 3 months and miracously my shoulder seemed to repair itself, and I was having no problems for the last 5-6 months, but I was sick of lifting the same weights and decided I needed to start forging forward and I increased the weights I was lifting and then snap my shoulder went.  I normally 1 RM 400 on bench and the other day i tryed just using 50 pd dumbbells to warm up and the shoulder was so weak and in discomfort.

MY question is, any suggestions on rehabing it faster than 4 months off?  Think I should just take 3 weeks off of just chest or all shoulder related lifts?  Or is it possible if the shoulder is up to it work it light?
I'm doing rotator cup exercises eod and trying to strech it good.

Also,  what is your opinions on ever being able to lift heavy and get big?  If every time I try to increase my weight on bench or military press my shoulder goes out how am I supposed to get bigger and compete...  Is it a useless battle to try and fight this.?

have you considered that it might be a nerve issue, hence why you get weak and there is nothing on your scans. Also I can think that reaching upwards constantly especially if you are stretching would aggravate a nerve pain. Maybe I just think that everybody has what I did, but it sounds like a possible nerve issue to me.

That's what it was in my case. Here's the stretch that helped.

PS more than likely you have tight scalenes forming part of the problem so make sure you are breathing correctly ie in/out at the correct time when you exercise (this means breathe out not in when you press etc).
61  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Natural Bodybuilding / Re: Hey Adonis, Is This Guy On Drugs? MONSTER TRICEPS! on: December 07, 2006, 09:05:35 AM
As a life-time drug free pro.....who has NEVER used....I debunk your assinine statement....

They're to dry to be on gear! But they're probably so dehydrated that they're shafting their kidneys all the same.
62  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Natural Bodybuilding / Re: Could this guy be drug free?? on: December 07, 2006, 07:12:18 AM
Wouldn't really say he has much gyno standing relaxed. arms overheads a little sus. But he has a face like a girl so how can he have the T levels to do well without gear?
63  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Injury and Rehabilitation / Re: Sharp pinching sensatiom in trapezious muscle on: December 07, 2006, 04:10:02 AM
I'm with you guys. I'm currently waiting for my right trap/neck area to heal up. Over the course of this year, I've strained my left or right side twice each, and each time, I could not train for the life of me....sometimes I can't sleep. I came on here to see if you guys think deep tissue massage could help.

I'd tend to say it's a streched or trapped nerve think about it why would you feel like somebody was sticking a pin in your trap? A muscle tear... Yeah right! Your probably stretching or trapping the nerve as you lower the weight. PS deep tissue might make it worse.
64  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Injury and Rehabilitation / Re: trap tie in on: December 07, 2006, 04:01:41 AM
Ok, back on topic...I noticed yesterday (thanks to an observant female after I pointed out my injury) at the gym that my shoulder is.......lower....or more flat in the delt area than my other (especially my front).........wtf!!!!!  Im starting to think I tore my rotator cuff.   Cry

I had a very similar issue go and see a Chiropractor. What you have is very freaky but it may well be easier to fix than a cuff injury particularly if you GO NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It won't fix itself if you leave it your delt will shrink no matter how you train! I'm guessing it's a double crush. The pain in your trap is (I'd say) a nerve the flat delt is because the crushed nerve isn't able to fire up your deltoid properly which is also why your scapula is out of place because one or more of your scapular stabilizers aren't being fired up either. You might want to check to see if one tricep or bicep is harder when flexed or if you have equal strength between the fingers (test each finger individually against the thunb) and thumb of each hand. Any differences would confirm a nerve problem. But to my mind what you describe is so similar to the issue I have just last week been diagnosed with (this is what you have). On the plus side it took 30 seconds to fix or to be more precise it was fixed faster than the human brain can detect movement.

DON'T WHASTE TIME ON DRS AND PHYSIOS SEE A CHIROPRACTOR!!!!!

40+-you cheeky bugger Grin I'm 37 but look older due to the severe dieting-it makes you look a bit drawn-well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it Undecided Last year was my first full year of competition so I guess I am a late starter but there are many good naturals in their 40s and even 50s.I think it is possible to keep improving as long as you live the lifestyle and keep it clean.

Actually T levels don't "naturally" decline. Though there are extreme drops in the T-Levels of some individuals caused by drugs eg cigarettes. It is not age but rather prolonged exposure to substances which are toxic to leydig cells which causes some peoples T levels to drop. Other individuals show perfectly healthy T levels in their later years. However the smokers low T scores pull down the average which is why some of the more stupid medical people are still debating the issue.
66  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Positive Bodybuilding Discussion & Talk / Re: Was Flex Wheeler Lazy? on: April 15, 2006, 05:00:38 AM
Ronnie has better genetics than flex because before flex touched drugs he was an extreme ectomorph.... Flex had awsome SHAPE and fullness on a tiny frame.. he was narrow compared to a thick dude like comier or coleman. Flex had awsome muscle shape but Ronnie and Comier have him beat in raw genetics. Now obviously flex had awsome genetics we are talking about out of the best grenetics on the planet comier and coleman have him beat.

Cormier might even have the worst genetics in pro bodybuilding.
67  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Natural Bodybuilding / Re: What do you guys think? on: April 14, 2006, 02:16:27 PM
i want to compete...but im going to wait untill i can do so at about 230 shredded...so im thinking about 30-35 lbs moremuscel.   so..like a year and a half.

No problems there at age 16 30-35lbs in the next two years is not out of the question. Course if you get taller it won't look like 30-35lbs hell you could end up looking thinner.

I'm not looking down on "nattys"...I'm just stating in my opinion based on all my expierences in this industry. "Nattys" tend to have a superior attitude and HAVE to jam down everyones throat that they are 'natural'. Like I would put a title in my name when I shake another fellow BB's hand..."Hey, My name is The BlockHead...Jakked/Stakked/Fully Loaded to the gills, nice to meet you..." At shows that arent tested do you see us walking around with hats and t-shirts saying 'On 1,200mgs a Week!' or buttons saying...' I (heart) 23gauges! ' Nope!

Yeah some hardcore roiders do like to shout about their roid use, and how hard core they are, not you? Funny because I could've sworn thats what you just did.I mean posting that you are a gear user on this here natty forum? Sounds like you want us to know you're on gear. Doesn't that make sense? Also I think you feel superior to nattys because you basically just slagged us all and then said you and you're steroid buds don't have the same issues you think we do. Am I right? YES I AM

of time there can be complications but thats with ANYTHING. Water can be bad for you, hell! I dont think AAS are 'Gods' answer to everything...let's keep God out of this. Since you bring it up...I do know steroids were created to BENEFIT mankind and serve a purpose. It is actual legitimate medicine. Do you drink? How many families and lives and careers and marriages destroyed from the 'pleasures' of alcohol? By the time I am done typing this...about 10 people in the U.S. died for reasons directly related to alcohol. It has a direct effect on your mind...it alters perception/judgement.

Thats really interesting, I'm sure you've given some people plenty to think about, myself I don't actually drink alchohol.

Not an unusual physique especially for a young man who seems to have an interest in boxing

Manfred after in the 90's B4 synthol plus strongmen can't afford to compramise strength with synthol anyway

70  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Natural Bodybuilding / Re: I assume most are "HARD-GAINERS" on: March 15, 2006, 09:56:53 PM
this thread is really stupid. there IS such a thing as a hardgainer. they can still gain but it is harder for them. if you only needed 1 gram of protein per body pound to build muscle then you're not a hardgainer and you're lucky. if you need 4500 calories to grow then you are a hardgainer even if when you get those calories you do grow. why? because it's HARD to eat 4500 calories. it's hard to have to rest more than others. so what is a hardgainer? when you were in high school and lifted weights and didn't know a damned thing about what you were doing but you grew and saw another kid who was like 110 pounds try the same thing and nothing happened for him... that's a hardgainer. the fact that he has to train differently and eat a lot more than you is what makes him a hardgainer. people who say there is no such thing as a hardgainer are saying there's no such thing as genetics which is stupid. maybe they're genetically mentally retarded.

It's not a question of no such thing as genetics it's a question of the clearly obvious fact that nobody has any idea how much variation would exist in a bell curve of bodybuilders who trained ate rested and juiced/or didn't juice in identical measure.

I estimate of the bodybuilders who have the finances the desire the knowledge and the guts to really juice up, of the ones who survive without career ending complications or health scares, that have the right mental attitude and nutrition/training smarts who also put the work in elsewhere. I'd guess a reasonable percentage make it to the pro ranks. Most amatuer guys are not prepared to take the required levels of drugs the mere fact they're competing in a show where a pro card is up 4 grabs doesn't mean they're doing whatever it takes. What you read in the magazines about genetics is just hype!

72  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Natural Bodybuilding / Re: Natural Bodybuilding Secrets ??? on: March 14, 2006, 04:16:42 PM
I personally think that both slow reps and fast reps work, In a real sense you have to develop a feel or experience to arrive at a style that works for you. There is a ideal groove (combination of rep speed, range of motion, etc.) that every weight lifter will develop with experience over time. It takes time.

Two examples of diverse rep grooves are two of the best Mr. O's, Dorian's and Ronnie's styles. Yates generally used a full range of motion, and explosive raising phase, sometimes a pause and then a slow negative. Coleman, a rapid explosive, rythmic, partial rep style. Both methods produce results thats obvious.

The bottom line is that both methods work, both methods produces results, and both have their pros and cons. Obviously these methods have enough in common to produce outstanding results.

On a related note,
I personally train predominantly with partial, explosive reps with great overall effect in muscle and strength. I also make use of full range reps done slower when I feel the need. If I had to choose though I would pick explosive partials for more producing more overall result in mass and strength. I feel this way despite being a fan of Dorians style and being trained by him a few times.

Personally once I have the grove, if I'm not using a weight so heavy as to prevent it I'll try to speed up more (but only if I can do so and stay in the groove thats my goal fast reps where you feel isolation just like slow ones).

Force= mass x acceleration after all

That way I also get the benefit of "copensatory acceleration"

Your right,
what ever you believe is always right.

Not really because he said "you" it wasn't a reference to himself. His beliefs shape his destiny and not ours.
74  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Natural Bodybuilding / Re: Ask Jennifer Lynn Cowan (aka The Beast) on: March 13, 2006, 05:51:30 PM
Jennifer,

FitChick makes a very serious and valid point. To compete at the highest levels and to place...people do what they have to do...even the figure/fitness girls.

Most people and especially women tend to have a weird stance on steroids. I feel ya on your position but let me just ASSUME and be so bold for a minute...if you use birth-control pills then guess what...you are using STEROIDS!!! Birth-Control Pills(nuva-ring etc...) ARE in fact without a shadow of doubt STEROIDS. Synthetic hormones used for a psyiological purpose. One may be to 'trick' the body into believing it's already pregnant from estrodiol balance...the other 'tricks' the body to believe it should be more anabolic(in a muscle building state).

Women are the biggest user of steroids in this country. Even teenage girls use STEROIDS for premiscious & recreational careless sex...why WOULDNT a highly competitive athlete competing at the highest level also use synthetic hormones to make them look better and recover from intense training more effectivley?

Now I know you have super-genetics and you are very driven...but do you ever kick the idea around of doing something mild or over-the counter? I know DHEA would probably have mild effect on women and I know it's a staple with fitness/figure girls. Your thoughts?

I think because your form is, or should be, always improving you run the risk of over-accentuating aysemmetries and strong bodyparts with early steroid use. IMO that by itself is ample reason for a new figure competitor to avoid steroids early on. Then when your form does peak, it's fine.... Provided you can carry off a beard, bad skin and a receding hairline.
75  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Natural Bodybuilding / Lets learn some stuff! on: March 13, 2006, 02:34:48 PM
Okay post your mistakes here any problems in your training that you have since corrected post them here. So that we can all learn something.

Infact you can post anything which you think would be helpful to others.

I'd say the most important thing I've learned is that it's more important how you do the exercises than which exercises you do. So if you can't feel your chest when you bench press and you end up thrashing your deltoids there are 3 sensible options.

1) Learn to do it properly
2) Don't do it at all
3) Include bench Presses in your deltoid workout
