Not anymore...IronMag isn't broadcasting shit.  NBC Sports has that coverage on lock

Roll Eyes is still webcasting the Olympia free on their site. NBC Sports is NOT broadcasting the Olympia live.

"NBCSN will televise two 90-minute specials around the event, the first on October 18 at 1:30 p.m. ET and the second on October 25 at 5:30 pm ET."

Rhoden, Martinez, Curry Highlight 2014 Arnold Classic Field

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Shawn Rhoden, Victor Martinez and Brandon Curry, who have each won an Arnold Classic international title in the past three years, lead a deep field of 13 men’s professional bodybuilders who will battle in the 2014 Arnold Classic, the Arnold Sports Festival announced today.

The Arnold Sports Festival and the IFBB Pro League today announced the invited athletes who will compete in the Arnold Classic, Arnold Classic 212, Fitness International, Figure International and Bikini International contests Feb. 28 & March 1 at the 2014 Arnold Sports Festival.

Rhoden, 2012 Arnold Classic Europe champ, and Martinez, who won the Arnold Classic in 2007 and the inaugural Arnold Classic Europe in 2011, will lead a field that also includes two-time Arnold Classic winner Branch Warren, Cedric MacMillan and Dennis Wolf. Curry won the inaugural Arnold Classic Brasil in April. Ben Pakulski, second in the Arnold Classic in 2013, and Toney Freeman, third last year, will also compete. In the Fitness International, defending champion Tanji Johnson, Oksana Grishina, second in 2013, and Bethany Cisternino, third last year, headline a field of 15. Johnson, who won the Arnold Fitness Europe in 2011 and 2013, has won seven professional titles in the past 12 years. In the Figure International, defending champion Candice Keene and three-time winner Nicole Wilkins top the field of 17. Heather Dees, second in 2013, is also expected to challenge for the title. Wilkins, who won in 2010, 2011 and 2012, will try to win a record fourth title. Wilkins did not compete in Columbus in 2013.
India Paulino will try to become the first repeat winner of the Bikini International, which has had three champions in three years since it was founded in 2011. Nathalia Melo, second in 2013; Ashley Kaltwasser, Bikini Olympia winner in 2013 and a former Arnold Amateur champion; and Amanda Latona also highlight a field of 16. Anna Starodubtseva earned an automatic invite into the Bikini International after winning the overall bikini title at the 2013 Arnold Amateur IFBB/NPC Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure & Bikini Championships.

By the end of contest season next year, I'll bet you $100 that Rx is ahead of GB in traffic rankings.

(I know some inside info that makes this kind of unfair. You ok with that?)

I'll bet you $500 that by November 2013 RX is NOT ahead of Getbig in traffic rankings.

The funny and yet kinda sad part of it all is how little Ron does on getbig and yet still dwarfs others with a staff.
6  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Dave Palumbo vs Aron Singerman on: November 21, 2012, 09:13:56 PM
What I'll bet is that this time next year Rx is beating MD, Flex, and GB in traffic!

(It's amazing but aaron says GB is king right now! Lol)

I'll take that bet on two out of the three. What's wager?  Grin
7  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: MD vs FLEX: Who did it better? on: November 21, 2012, 09:12:27 PM
depends on the goal, target audience, etc.

Pretty safe bet they are targeting the same audience and the goal is the same - sell magazines. lol

Crazily Bulging, Charmingly Bulky Chairs Inspired By Bodybuilding

Watching Dutch designer Rutger de Regt sculpt these bulbous chairs is a bit like watching someone try on a pair of jeans three sizes too small. Bodybuilding--and the extreme forms of body modification that go with it--is a perplexing subculture to many of us. For Dutch designer Rutger de Regt, it provided the conceptual framework for a series of amorphous chairs that walk the line between performance art and design.

To create Happy Misfits, de Regt straps a balloon full of styrofoam pebbles to a platform. Then, he manipulates the shape of the rubbery orb by altering it with industrial-strength winches. As he divides and subdivides each subsequent blob, we start to see a form emerge--a stool, say, or an armchair. Finally, he cauterizes the contents of the balloon and removes the straps. In one video, he demonstrates the process in front of a video of bodybuilders--a dramatic touch that drives the comparison home with flair.

The project won honors as de Regt’s graduation project at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the Hague. He writes that the series mimics “people who manipulate their body, in search for symmetry, mass, and definition.” Though really, the end results remind us more of people who come by those traits falsely, with fake six-pack tans and contraptions like this.

De Regt joins a number of other Dutch designers working with aleatoric processes--meaning that chance, or randomness, play a role in their work. For example, Jólan van der Wiel’s chairs are made by manipulating iron shards with a strong magnet. And Maarten Baas, one of the jurists who nominated de Regt for graduation honors, is known for torching pieces of wooden furniture and coating the results in a clear epoxy.

Check out more of de Regt’s work on his website.
10  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / 2012 Olympia - Phil Heath Interview 1 week Out on: September 21, 2012, 05:25:05 PM
In a candid and far-reaching interview with, Heath discusses his mental and muscular show prep, his relationship with Jay Cutler, and more.

That's one thing some people are critical of when they see your videos online—that you don't train crazy or lift heavy like, say, Branch Warren. Do you think that is accurate?

I think I train hard and heavier than what most people think. I'm not trying to train with massive amounts of weights. I'm also not trying to get hurt. I think if they watched my DVDs and see the pre-online content they'd see more of it. When I'm close to the show I use mostly machines to not get injured. In my off-season, I'll train heavier but I'm trying not to get hurt. I train as smart as I can. I'm not concerned what others think. I do what works for me.

Do you ever watch the UFC and follow your fellow Team MuscleTech athlete Jon Jones? Think he'll win this weekend?

Yeah, I do watch a little. When I get a chance I do watch. The thing is, I don't have much time. When it comes to him I know he's going to win. I don't want to say I'm not interested, but it's a lot less interesting knowing he will win. It's becoming "Who can beat him?"

Where did it say in the post that I put up that I believed Shawn. The post is what Shawn replied back.   My initial response was that Roland should of won the Comeback Award - like yours was.

And how do you know he didn't contribute $20K of value if not any cash?

He was totally responsible for promoting that show for months. His connection with MD. He was the MC. Maybe he cut his fee to Jarka in half.

You know nothing about the situation or business.

Clearly you've never done business with Shawn.  Cool
18  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Shawn Ray - why are you lying about the Comeback Award? on: December 19, 2011, 02:20:50 PM
Yogi do YOU believe Shawn?  Roll Eyes

No disrespect to Bill but Roland hadn't competed in nearly 11 years and in the words of iconic photographer Albert Busek, "It's a miracle that Roland is on stage. He is lucky to be alive."  I guess coming back from your death bed isn't enough to receive the "Shawn Ray Comeback Award".

Funny how Sugar tags his name on this award yet you know he didn't pony up the cash.
