No you didn't. If so, you wouldn't have used the word "especially"... You are implying with that one word that it is doing better all over and MORE SO in the US. it sold much better in the beginning and is still outselling the ps3, especially in the US

I'm pretty sure I would, if the man who had slandered me had already died in the way this man did. His beef was with the man, not the wife.
Me personally, if someone talks shit and I know it's false, I just state my case and let it be, because people are going to believe whichever story they want, and no one is going to convince them any differently without some for of hard evidence.
Is going after the wife really going to change anything? Are people going to suddenly stop believing the SEALs story? They wont, they'll just think that Ventura is that much more of a douche for attacking a widow that didn't do shit to him. Plus, it's not like Ventura has a shitload of credibility anyway, as I said, dude basically built his career on a lie, and he's out there talking about all kinds of conspiracy theories all over the place.
At this point, it'd be best for him to just move on, he's not going to make himself look any better and he's not going to change anything. Suck it up and move on.
He's not actually suing the wife though. He's suing the person who is profiting on the book. It just so happens to be her. If she died tomorrow and it was the kids (Or the trust) he would sue them. It's not Jesse's fault the dude died. Why does his life have to stop to placate people's sense of empathy for her loss of a husband? |

Crazy... Those cops need to be sued in their individual capacities in addition to their official capacity for abuse under color of authority.
They can charge you, no doubt, but when they go to court, he will most definitely get acquitted... I wouldn't doubt that he said something that just pissed those guys off. |

You would NOT! You obviously don't have kids. What parent is going to willingly go to jail and abandon their child in their time of greatest need because of some REVENGE fantasy they have.

They have their mother and I'd like to find a jury who would convict me for taking care of a sicko like that. I have 2 kids... a boy and a girl. It's a well known fact on this board actually. |

Of course they do, it's bad enough they were molested by whacko Jacko, the best course of action is to minimise the suffering the child has to go through. And if that means settling and avoiding a traumatic public trial, it seems more than reasonable to me.

This is true, I used to feel otherwise, but the more things I heard and read over the years tend to make me feel the same!
I will only say this. If someone molested your kid... Would you take ANY amount of money to keep quiet and not see him rot in a prison cell? Would you not at least go after that son of a bitch yourself? If someone molested my kids, you can bet your ass he wouldn't have been able to pay me off and to keep it 100, he wouldn't have had too many more breaths. Also, who lets your kid stay at a strangers house? I don't give a fuck what their name is... I don't know you. Then, after the first time he was accused, you read all about it and THEN you still let your kid go over there alone without any parents? REALLY?! Who the fuck does that?! NO ONE. You can decide whether you think he did it or not, but those things I've mentioned above are pretty undeniable to a parent. |

So of course you'd interpret it as harassment if cops at a border crossing into the USA decided to stroll up with a drug sniffing canine when tasked with whether to let someone cross over? ...someone with cannabis decals & bumper stickers plastered over his vehicle, ..and wearing a legalize cannabis T-shirt?
The analogy isn't really close though is it? Tax laws are tax laws. If you are entity A, then your tax status is B. This would be more akin to 2 mostly identical cars, neither of which has any stickers or looks remotely suspicious, but you always choose one car "type" over the other because it's painted a certain color. That's all. |
