We're gonna go visit my mother (her health is not too good right now) next week. I want to be able to see my mother before I leave just in case something happens to her while i'm gone. My mom is funny. She says to me: "I'm not gonna bury one of my kids. so you get your ass back here and keep working on my deck". I'm building a deck for her in her back yard.

It sucks too because i just got my training off the ground after my injury in late 2004. I try to help the guys out in my unit with the weights. but some just want to fuck around too much.

Iraq is a frikkin' mess! No end in sight. The top brass over there knows it, us soldiers know it, the USA knows it!

My training partner (we tried) was killed in Ramadi last year from an IED. I always told him he should compete when he got out of this hell hole. While on patrol, his Humvee (which was the second to last vehicle in a row) was destroyed by an IED. 3 other Marines died that day. I have the pix, but out of respect for him and his wife, I can't post them. Very sad to speak to his wife.
