I think that sending guns south of the border with no plan to track them constitutes an epic fuck up.
I also think that having targets painted on the ground with an embassy under attack, and denying air support is an epic fuck up.

But these are just my opinions.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a recent President that hasn't lied to the public repeatedly.

Fact is, we don't know what goes on in the decision making at that level, and lying is part of the job. Has to be, you can't tell the public everything.
That being said.... I think Benghazi and F&F was a fuckup of epic proportions.

Cable = much wider viewing audience than movie theaters.

I think Libya turned out more than perfect.  No boots on the ground, Ghadaffi gone (although I kind of liked the guy, he was rather humorous), and all the African oil we can dream of. (jk on that last part)

Didn't like around 25 members of SEAL Team 6 die aboard a helicopter?  It was the largest number of casualties in a single day in Afghanistan suffered by the US military.  Seems pretty suspicious that somehow a rag-tag group of Taliban were able to shoot down this helicopter?  Who gave the order to move this many SEALs in a single helicopter above hostile territory?  Where are the conspiracy stories on this?

Just imagine all the millions of dollars in training and equipment these guys had.

I think it was all pretty simple.  Recon, Train and Destroy.  Not really much to learn at this point, especially since Matt Bissonnette already spilled all the beans in his book.
