There are a million discussions as to whether Ronnie can or cannot be beaten at the next olympia, as every year he shows up he wins. Well the same could be said for Jay. Since 2001 only one man has been able to beat Jay, thats Ronnie. People are always asking "will this be Jay's year to beat ronnie?" but what about all the other pro's out there? Are Jay and Ronnie that far ahead of the pack that they should be considered independantly from everyone else? It seems for the last few years there has been one competition for 1st place and another for 3rd.

Every story told is biased to some degree. But Bret, at times, comes off somewhat delusional; don't you think?
Imnot sureif its delusional.Having never met the guy It's hard to say. He does seem to put himself acrossaswhiter tha white and its everyone else thats wrong. It would be interesting to read Dianas book and also Dynamites.

I found it very interesting. Im not totally sure he isnt a sociopath. Seemed to have such extreme morals when it came to certian things like portraying his charachter right yet cheated on his wife and wrote about it the same way he talked about driving a car or going to the shops. He really didnt seem to like Shawn. Davey and Dynamite didnt fare too well either. I found it an interesting read but it did seem very subjective at times.

Max, this is from an englishman, living in AU:
Petrol is about twice the price in the UK. However, cars are hideously expensive in Australia. You're going to live in a house about three times as large as what you had in the UK (and it will most likely be full detached), no matter what your income bracket Roads are far larger, but in general, the driving skill is way worse. In this country, it is possible to watch a car, and by its brand and "body language" figure out the nationality / class of person driving it. Crime is no worse than the UK, guns are rarely heard of, though it is the fashion in the cities for psychopaths to kill innocent bystanders by punching them in the face, with them dying after they hit the concrete. Sport is great, if you like it. Pub culture is completely different. Forget going to the pub for a social drink on a weekday. Either you're going for binge drinking or you're not going (this is in cities). If you value your pub as a meeting place, don't come here - it's not the same.
etc etc
Cheers Rocket. Not a huge pub fan. The rest sounds great though. Would be nice to have a place bigger than a shoe box!

Anyone here live down under. Would you reccomend a move there? I fancy a bit of a change of life and thought a new country could be interesting. Any ideas on the average house prices?
Is it a bodybuilding/powerlifting friendly country?

You're all lucky. I live in NW London, UK and there is NO proper gyms in my immediate area. If I wanted a yoga/holistic/gay/fitness experience there is about 5 in a radius of 2 miles from my front door. Sadly the heavy training hardcore gyms is a rare breed these days.
There are some good gyms not that far from the NW!

Rand wrote some decent philosophical treatises, (if you can overlook her dogmatism), but she was a very mediocre author otherwise.
Only ever read the Fountian Head. It dragged a bit and the end was like a massive summing up of all her ideologies.
