All i can say is that even with my ugly face , now that im 325 lbs strongman I get way more attention from women that some of my bodybuilder friends with great shapes.
Anyway I like to lift heavy , and i like to compete ..... not for women just because I F&CKIN LIKE MOVING HEAVY WEIGHTS......
and as far as the i can stay ona diet , NO ....I can stay on diet but I hate dieting and hate low carbs... so its true that the diet and eating protocol for strongman is far way easier to follow than a bodybuilder.... but as far as the training goes , strongman training is WAY more intense and hard than bodybuilder training.
And by the way I sill like bodybuilding and go see contest from time to time.... and when my wife compete i like to be backstage and see the result of all the hard work. But for me I really like strongman better , more challenging, no controversial judging (you lift or you dont) unlike the questionable judging that took place sometimes in bodybuilding. The money are better in strongman , and easier to get sponsors and more recognition from the people. Its more accessible for general people...... and almost everybody like to see strong feats.

Meso_z : 3 years ago ive got involved in an accident at my workplace. Ive been out of the gym for 6 month and got surgery to repair my right knee. In the process ive lost size and strenght. After my rehab ive started training heavier to get my size back , one guy at my gym invited me to an amateur strongman contest. This summer i did 5-6 amateur contest and got invited to compete pro the next year.
Yes Strongman is a costly sport. The food suplements and travel expense. But almost all contest pai for the expese , the hotel and we get decent prize money. And I have the chance to have some sponsor that help me get some monbey from my sport...

devilsmile : I dont train for powerlifting , im competing in strongman so my training are far more intense than when i was bodybuilding. I use one rep max progressions on squat , deadlift and over head presses mainly , but i do many Heavy high sets in the 12 range. And still do superset and cardio. As a strongman the goal is to be strong , quick and have endurance. I still miss the day when i was bodybuilding , but my genetics sucked big time ...... but maybe after my strongman career ill do another body contest
