1  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: 57 Year Old Tony Pearson Guest Posing on: July 01, 2014, 02:53:22 AM
I think a guy of Pearsons genetics could still look that good on nothing or a few dball,I dont look at him there and see him using a lot of gear to look like that, he never took much back in the day either. Im not saying hes totally clean but I doubt he's cycling heavily.
Wright, he has still the lines and muscle but not the`` density`` of big loads of
steroids.

You dont know how he is when he is on. Literaly a MONSTER.
Even his FACE begin to LOOK DIFFERENT when he is on.

He looks small and looks like shit now comparing with his usual shape.
That is the first thing I noticed, he has a``small`` face now.

LOL

Compared to you and many other getbiggers, he has surpassed them with lightyears.

Nowhere did he claim he was greater than Cutler, Ray, Nubret, Eugen Sandow, Arnold et al.

One thing you have to understand is that anyone can put up pics and posts regardless of your standings competitionwise.

I like the way you put it sir  Grin

5  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: steve reeves- how did he keep his waist so lean? on: May 28, 2014, 11:09:31 AM
I have it on good authority that Reeves abused the GH and insulin a great deal.

Those images we see are photoshopped.  By the time he was 28, he had a 44 inch waist.

Eat Green stuff .....Vegetables and salads.

Drink Red stuff .... Red wine.

Eat Chicken .... Breasts are best.

Brown rice is nice but red meat ain't neat.

Don't drink too much alcohol even if it's red stuff.

Don't smoke, don't drive too fast, and don't  talk on your cell phone at 65 mph.

Avoid temper tantrims.

Do everything and eat everything in moderation.

Take daily moderate runs or daily long walks.

Live your life ........................ ........................ ................
Yeah I`ll do all that when I get old ......oh wait  Grin Grin

11  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Overly strenuous exercise bad for the heart? on: May 15, 2014, 09:05:02 AM
So a new report I seen on the news says this morning, that being said , they did not give details about how strenuous.  Seems like crossfit would be a prime example, but your everyday gym rat who does moderate cardio for 30 min and 30 min of moderate weight training 5 days a week would this apply to them as well?
If you are in ``bad condition`` with your heart , blood pressure etc, there are
many exercises that are dangerous for you.

My wife was afraid of my heart because I still lift heavy, especially deadlifts. So I was
examined by the cardiologist and everything was OK. When he asked me how much I trained , I said that I did at least 2 hours cardio everyday, I did not explain that all my
cardio exercise was low intensity(walking most).

He looked at me and said that hade come lately raports of strokes and heart conditions  from trainers(not necessary pros) who trained too hard and too long``cardio sports``(marathon, country ski etc).

Then I explained to him that I mostly walked 1 hour in the morning and another in the afternoon and sometimes 20 minutes jogging. That was OK he said and then I asked him about the weights and  he said to train with  weights was OK, and about
my specific weight training, that it worked for me so go on  Smiley
12  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Do you focus more on pull-ups or rows? Splitting up back day? on: May 15, 2014, 07:51:03 AM
Do any of you split your back workouts up? Deadlift on its own day perhaps?

I've been thinking about putting Pull-ups/Chins on Bicep day. Bent Rows & Deadlift on another day.
I do very often when the deadlifts day is a heavy one, that day I`ll do deads and barbell rows, and biceps or triceps. The other day will be chins , pull-ups with supinated hands and maybe dumbell rows and biceps or triceps again.

While I am pretty impressed with his ability to execute those reps, I am actually VERY impressed with the type of grip strength this guy has.

Holy Shit!

Umm yea that`s the sort of grip climbers have..........
16  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: What's the best dog all round, ever bred? on: May 08, 2014, 05:58:18 AM

I've had a few friends with Akitas and sadly none of them lived past 7. One of them had Lupus (I guess not uncommon). Also, Great Danes ~ 7-8 years old.  ~flower lost her 3 fairly young. Your lucky your Newfie is still going strong since their LE is 9.  You must take very good care of him.  Some people, although very loving, just don't know about good diets, exercise, etc. and feed the basic, cheapest grocery store crap.  Then again, they're usually the same people eating fast food and other processed crap themselves.

We know quite a few Newfies here in Sweden which are past 9 years , the breed has got much healthier nowadays , I know it first hand because this is my third Newfoundland.
17  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: What's the best dog all round, ever bred? on: May 08, 2014, 02:40:51 AM
VERY short life expectancies.
Not so short nowdays , my Newfounland(you said once the same thing about him) is 10 yo and still going strong, and the Akita can live 14 years(The Akita may be the only breed in the world considered a natural ... Height: 24 to 28 inch.at shoulder; Weight: 65 to 115 pounds; Life Span: 10 to 14 years).Great Dane has a shorter life span I think( 7-10 years).

These lists of injuries are a good reality check as to just how fucking retarded Powerlifting is.

Destroy every joint in your body, look like shit, take years off your life walking around with borderline type 2 and holding 40lbs of water in the sausage-rolls on the back of your neck

But but but DENSITY  Roll Eyes
Nah you can`t generalize as if every powerlifter gets so many injurys and
look like that or die by 50-60.
I hate  Grin to put me as an exempel but here we go.

63 years old, lifting heavy, not major injuries and not so bad shape:

Excuse me.....not AS concerned with aesthetics Grin
OK then   Grin
23  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Coach Joe is going to share with getbig what a real PRO stack looks like on: April 19, 2014, 12:59:56 PM
I think the point is not that backday is concerned about aesthetics, but rather with the fact that he tore his lat.  And that had he attempted to lift more weight on a second attempt on that day, that he may have caused further damage to his lat.
Well I am a lil concerned about aesthetics  Smiley. But you are right the lat could eaisly get more damaged with another attempt. To much gambling when I already
had the record.
