You could try shopping and see what long hair looks on him.

Pretty amazing if the only difference with HafThor and his namesake is the hair length.

Bigger version of the picture of him in current shape: http://oi42.tinypic.com/kci8mr.jpg

2  Getbig Bodybuilding Boards / Positive Bodybuilding Discussion & Talk / BEHOLD 24 yrs old 6’9” 400 pounds chiseled Thor Bjornsson of Iceland on: June 02, 2013, 09:17:08 PM
BEHOLD the most impressive specimen of all! Thor of Iceland!

Stepping out of Myth, the ManTitan, the viking Giant of the North, 209cm and 180kg (6’9” and 400 pounds!) HafThor Bjornsson.

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Haf%C3%BE%C3%B3r-J%C3%BAl%C3%ADus-Bj%C3%B6rnsson-Hafthor-Julius-Bjornsson/132803286824288

“Thor” started his journey as the center for the Icelandic Basketball team. After an ankle injury he decided to find a new sport.

With very little training he entered a strongman contest in Iceland and did very well for himself. There he got the attention of Magnus Ver Magnusson, 4x WSM winner. Magnus noticed that Thor was almost 7ft and has the thickest bone structure he had ever seen, and had placed high in a field of competitors who had been training for many years.  Magnus informed Thor, that if he follow ALL his instructions he would become the best in the world one day.

That was in 2009 at the age of only 19. By 22 Thor had already placed 6th in the WSM Finals, and at the age of 23 he has already taken 3rd last year.

This year Thor has taken 2nd (controversially many thought he should have won) at the Arnold Classic Strongman contest in Brazil, and he won the Strongman League Championship in Latvia last weekend.

Thor continues to get stronger with every event, growing more muscle, and even his physique has come a long way.

The first thing they had to do was get Thor’s frame filled out. Tall task indeed.

The involved bulking up by over 70kg (154) pounds, all the way up to 200kg (440 pounds).

6 months ago Thor got his diet under control working with his nutritionist Fjarþjálfun Valgeirs Gauta https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fjar%C3%BEj%C3%A1lfun-Valgeirs-Gauta/228196500605778?hc_location=timeline
and got himself to 180kg (400 pounds) with enough definition to look like a bodybuilder.

Here is a video of thor from this Weekend at Norways strongest man (results not yet posted), but here is a video of him doing the Atlas stones, the heaviest of which is now 205kg (451 pounds):

Being that you used the term "only" for the nerve regeneration speed.....are you aware at just how fast nerves typically regenerate at?  When speaking of the "1mm per day", thats considered normal to mildy accelerated.  Also, were the nerves severed?  Thats usually the only time nerves need to "regenerate".

Not severed by trauma, but attacked by his own immune system. 1 in a million chance, his immune system had an over-reaction to a virus.

He said they healed at "around" 1mm daily, and for him that meant 6 years until he could train the right side of his upper body again.
5  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: Update on recovery of 7 foot bodybuilder on: July 27, 2007, 10:34:59 PM
He is 60% actor, and 40% bodybuilder. He does not put 100% of his time into BBing the way he would if he was to compete.

Being an actor, getting too large limits roles anyway. His goal is to look more like a 7 foot version of the mid 1980s circa Arnold Schwarzenegger, not Cutler or Coleman.

Taller guys need to have more muscle for it to even show on their frame, so he is not going to look like a scaled up version of an IFBB Pro, or even an NPC superheavy.  He can look like a sclaed up version of a 1970 bodybuilder and do just fine in movies. His is already as big as Nathan Jones, and just got done filming a movie (Som Tam) cast opposite him.

Where was the update for that 2nd and 3rd year he was laid up?

Some fan you are  Angry

LOL, I just put up the thread because he put up better pictures and is in better shape than in the last one.

Yeah, I am a crappy fan.

Damn, I thought people here would be impressed that a Bodybuilder, even one who does not compete is making a move to bring muscle back to Hollywood.

OR, that going from looking like a fitness model to a bodybuilder's build again in less than 2 years after returning to bodybuilding training would be impressive.

That build on an ectomorph frame tall enough to center in the NBA is some small acheivment.  Roll Eyes

I made a thread a while ago about the 7ft (214cm) Mark "Conan" Stevens, but the thread is ancient now, and he has improved a whole lot since then.

This is his site here: http://www.conanstevens.com

He has quite a bit of info there.

After a 6 year off setback in the gym he finally started training again only 1-1/2 years ago.

Nerve damage ate the nerves in his right arm and upper right side of his body. His body regenerated the nerves at only 1mm a day, so it took him 6 full years off before he could start training again.  Undecided

Primarily he is an Actor; bodybuilding is just a successful hobby of his. His primary focus is on acting, and bodybuilding is the secondary agenda on his list.  As such he prefers to be compared only to other full time actors physique wise.

Keep in mind that only 2 years ago the entire right upper half of his body looked Emaciated, he really has made a hell of a comeback. He said he still plans on doing a lot more work improving his physique, but he has made a long way for a recovery in only two years.

Here is what he looked like only about 18 months ago: http://www.conanstevens.com/component/option,com_gallery2/Itemid,32/?g2_itemId=227

Compared to now: http://www.conanstevens.com/bodybuilding-and-muscle-gain/big-huge-muscle-the-secrets/7-foot-muscleman-photos-july-2007.html

Stupid.  If I was 7 ft...I 'd be blocking shots in the NBA for $1M yrly instead of living in a shack trying to be a bber or whatever.  Bol did it so can he.

I dunno, he seems to be doing ok for himself having a build like his if he wants to act in movies.

Here is his ressume: http://www.conanstevens.com/biography.html

11  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: HATERS STFU! THIS IS WHAT WOMEN WAAANT!!!!!! on: May 07, 2007, 05:48:45 PM

You know, everything you (and the other poster on this topic) write seems to be directed toward the young, no-job-having, "full-time-bodybuilder" wannabe who thinks he's something special because he lifts weights.  Do you realize this describes a very small percentage of Getbig posters?  Probably 80%+ of us who post on here have careers and families and lift strictly as a hobby (although for some it is a fairly serious hobby).  It's really inaccurate to paint everyone who works out with the "meathead" brush.

Never said “every one”, I was, like you said, directing that comment exactly to the: “no-job-having, full-time-bodybuilder wannabe who thinks he's something special because he lifts weights.” Type of guys.

It is not the 80% you speak of that need to hear that, but unfortunately it is the 17-23 (sometimes 38) year olds who have their head up their asses that tend to be the most vocal.

I got a lot of respect for any one who knows how to rein it in, and if you follow all 10 of those rules I suggested, then you are a great example of someone that post was not directed toward.

If more bodybuilders acted as such there would not be such a public stigma about being lazy, conceited, or dumb.

If 80% do not have their head up their asses, that leaves 20% who do.

That is 1 in 5, and that is a LOT of idiots who need to wake up and realize that they need to have goals outside of bodybuilding, because unless they are in the top 10 on earth, they are not going to have much life from it alone.  They also need to realize that if they want to pursue bodybuilding as a career, they better not turn into one of those guys who looses all of his money, his house, etc… All to end up empty handed.

Sadly this happens all to often, even if it is only 10%, that is still very common.
12  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: HATERS STFU! THIS IS WHAT WOMEN WAAANT!!!!!! on: May 07, 2007, 10:08:37 AM
All you meat heads are wrong.  Women want one thing...

It's about time you bloated, roided out dolts with no jobs and shitty incomes realize that you are a joke to everyone - especially women. The only people who care about your muscles are you and the other gym rat losers like you. lol

Most women view men who are way into working out very negatively. In fact, most smart & attractive females I know shy away from muscle bound types. They are notorious for being immature, insecure, self absorbed losers. This is especially true for the freaky, roid looking guys. Good luck there...

Sad but true, let that simmer a lil bit. It will eventually soak in.

Here is a tip for all you recovering gym rats. Diet down, stay lean and cut. This is MUCH more appealing to women. Also dont fucking talk about it. Its a HUGE turn off and you look like a chach. Keep weight training as your dirty little secret.

Here is another good way of knowing if youre a tool or not (this applies to 98.7% of you). If you rely primarily on your body to "draw women in," then you are dead in the water. Anyone telling you different is either delusional or stubborn.  You may snag the occasional bar skank based on your skin tight club shirt. But you better have a decent face to go with it. Real women (worthwhile women) could care less.

Hope this helps.
(you dumb fucking f4ggots.)

Honestly,

Besides the name-calling (kicking over the beehive is a bad way to get honey), you make some valid points, and I have had the same take on this thing for a while now.

Mere physical attraction is very low on the list of what women want.

Finally figured out that besides competitive bodybuilding or powerlifting, being that huge is not really going to bring any one anything in life.

Not unless you want to be an action movie star, and then you still don’t want to have a bulkier build than Arnold had during his acting career (10-20 pounds smaller than when he competed). Even in that RARE example you better be building a big list of other skills. Professional acting schooling and a long list of smaller roles played because such are more important things to being an actor, and your bodybuilder build is the least important aspect. The only real way it would help is to add on a unique/rare trait for you, IF you also posses the other skills and charisma, even then you don’t want to be thicker than Arnold was during the 1980s, and you need to stay cut year round.

This is why a 5’10” 240+ pound offseason BBr with an offseason bodyfat% of 22 who thinks he is about to become a movie star even though he knows nothing about acting, is in reality a delusional tool. Your big bloated ass is only making you a star to gay men sitting in the audience at a bodybuilding stage, them and other bodybuilders who desire to look like you so they can become a self-delusional tool as well.

If you are cool with that, or enjoy that, then heck be happy with it, but just be honest about it.

You are NOT a star with the ladies unless you have other things that make you attractive to them. BBing alone will not make any one a babe magnet.

You can turn your dick into a Grade A+ vagina magnet without ever seeing the inside of a gym. FACT.

I will NOT make a blanket statement and say that “ALL bodybuilders” are delusional self absorbed tools, but “a LOT of them” sure are.

Some guys just like to be able to look in the mirror and see a giant beast looking back at them, just remember that 99.9% of the population doesn’t give a shit, and you do this for yourself only, and don’t be self delusional about it.

10 rules any bodybuilder should follow:

1. Don’t waste ALL your money on Supps, AAS, and ancillaries.

2. Do not borrow money and not pay it back.

3. Do not live off of your GF.

4. Have a stable income source that you earned for yourself.

5. Have plans outside of bodybuilding.

6. You have to get your own opportunities, Stop expecting BBing to just bring you them.

7. Forget about you being the most attractive thing on earth to women, you are not.

8. Remember just the ability to lift heavy things alone does not make you tough, or courageous. If you want that, then join the military and serve a combat tour in Iraq or Afghanistan.

9. Remember! You do NOT deserve anything, and you are entitled to NOTHING just for working out and eating a low carb diet high in protein.

10. Don’t forget about your health. Becoming a beast at the expense of your health is worthless.

Stick to those rules and you will not be a tool.
13  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: 7ft tall and 330 pounds ripped on: May 06, 2007, 06:56:36 PM
does that really work with people, i mean unless the guy got giantism, i mean the odds of him having gentic's for mass won't be anywhere near as commin as it is in the population of tall people. I mean what is the odds of someone having genes for height and muscle mass. It's as rare as albino and tall or whatever. So it might not be as impressive pound per pound it's still way more freakish.

Exactly, you just hit the nail on the head, and that is exactly why I said "wow" when I found Conan's site.

Try typing 7ft bodybuilder into a google search, his should be one of the first sites to show up.

He has two rights arms? Huh Huh Huh Grin Grin Grin

LOL, its just a typo, nerve damage in his RIGHT arm, fully recovered now.

Read his blogs he talks about it too.
14  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: 7ft tall and 330 pounds ripped on: May 06, 2007, 05:10:30 PM
lmao

taller=more weight=more calories to maintain weight

it doesn't matter how tall you are, when you weigh 330 lbs you're going to need more food then the average 5'10 150lb guy

I agree 100%.

The 7ft frame might keep him off of an IFBB stage, but he still has to eat to feed a lean weight of 330 pounds regardless.

330 for 7 feet is not that big

Technically 330 pounds at 7ft is exactly the same as 225 pounds is at 6’2”, and the same as 191 at 5’10”, so you are correct, he is not Pro level BBr thick. He is built more like a typical NPC “light-heavyweight” competitor.

The equation for scaling of height, for objects of = shape is:

The cubed root of the weight, divided by height, multiplied by the new height, cubed = weight of exactly same proportion and density object at a new measurement.

Works both english and metric.

hahaha check out the other guy...looks like Dave Chapell

Maybe it is Dave Chapell, this time he ran off to Thailand to become a Buddhist monk.
16  Getbig Main Boards / Gossip & Opinions / Re: 7ft tall and 330 pounds ripped on: May 06, 2007, 09:59:03 AM
This 7"3 former bb owns him

And nathan Jones at about 6"11 owns him too.
So nothing Special

Dalip Singh does not look like that any more, but he is still huge.

Funny you said Nathan Jones, as Stevens actually knows him and they have both cast opposite each other in a Thai movie that will begin filming this year.

Jones will be staring as the Hero (first time ever as the protagonist on screen) and Stevens will be one of the lead villains, with the final fight between the two of them.

So because you can name 2 guys on planet earth bigger than him he is "nothing special"?  Roll Eyes

Regardless, I think it would be fun for just a day to be able to walk around in public as a 7ft guy who is that muscular. The looks you would get  Shocked would be hilarious.  Grin

Just figured if you guys don’t know who Mark “Conan” Stevens is you will soon.

The guy is a 7ft tall bodybuilder who lives in Thailand (no not what you’re thinking, its really for the action films filmed there) and weighs  330 pounds, ripped.

He was massive in 2000, but got nerve damage in one of his right arm and was forced to take a 6 year layoff from traing, shrinking down to 270 pounds (not as thick at 7ft), but a year and a half ago he got the all clear to train again, and is back at well over 300 pounds, and is very lean. Impressive physique for a 7ft dude who has only been training again for 18 months.

Obviously he is not going to be thick as an IFBB Pro, being 7ft, and I am not claiming that he has a better physique than any Pro or comparing him to them, but he does have a better build than just about any one in Hollywood as of late, and at 7ft tall I think we will be seeing him more often.

More info and pics on His site is at      http://www.conanstevens.com

Sorry these pics are small and low image quality.
